Merry, merry!

@Bzuk:, thank you for your greeting. Merry CHRISTmas to you, your family, and your friends. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find me? Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 20:34, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Indiana State Road 37

Why did you revert my edit on Indiana State Road 37? It is not correct to have two spaces between SR and 37. You are only supposed to have one. One.Bde1982 (talk) 17:38, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

I didn't realize that there was a "normal" space in addition to the non-breaking space ( ). After the edit was changed, I saw what had happened. Also, non-breaking spaces are to be used in the abbreviations (piped links). Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 17:44, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Well, still, you're not supposed to have two spaces between one item and another.—Bde1982 (talk) 17:49, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
I know that. Like I said, I didn't realize that there were two. You removed both the non-breaking and normal spaces, so I reverted your edit. Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 17:54, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
No. I did not. I removed one, not both. When the article came up after my edit, I only saw one space.—Bde1982 (talk) 17:57, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
There was someone else that edited the page. Maybe they did it. I don't mean to blame you. Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 17:59, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
I don't take being blamed. I really don't.—Bde1982 (talk) 18:00, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
I use a gadget in my preferences (top of page) that allows me to see a mini preview of the page and links when I hover my mouse over them (since most of my editing is on my laptop). When I hovered over the edits, it looked as if someone just removed the non-breaking space. I didn't even see the "normal" space being removed. However, the non-breaking space should have remained, so I just reverted it. I didn't investigate to see exactly happened. For that, I'm sorry. Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 18:06, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
@Bde1982 and Morriswa: For what it's worth, the MediaWiki software ignores double spaces. I am a serial double spacer and it looks no different than one space. See the difference? I don't. Anyway, this blowup was over literally nothing. Hope you're both happy. –Fredddie 23:33, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Fredddie, it's different from, not different than. Anyway, I'm done.—Bde1982 (talk) 00:26, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
