Review instructions

edit
  1. Sign up for a section of 50 applications at this page
  2. The first check involves using Popups (enabled in Special:Preferences -> click "Gadgets", check the box to enable Popups, then click save).
  3. By hovering over a username on the applications list, Popups will show the edit count, age of account, and whether the editor is blocked on English Wikipedia
  4. If an editor is blocked, list their name at this page
  5. If an editor does not meet the 1-year/1000 editor check using Popups, open their user talk page in a new tab in your browser.
  6. Then, you then need to check if the editor meets the criteria on another Wikipedia language project.
  7. To check global contributions use the Global Contributions surveyor on toolserver.
  8. Toolserver is a bit slow so I find it helpful to have 3 tabs running simultaneously.
  9. Copy and paste the username into the text box. Select the [show blocks] option (don't select [show full block log] as it's slow)
  10. Scroll down to the bottom of the toolserver results to see if 1000 edits or 1-year age of accounted are met at another project. You can also see if the editor is blocked on another project.
  11. If neither Popups nor the Global Contribution Surveyor met the criteria, then list their name at this page
  12. Mark your section {{done}} at this page

Round 3

Delivered
  1. Alansohn (talk · contribs) I have edited a huge range of topics related to New Jersey, its state, county and local governments, schools and school districts, and people from the state, as well as about 800 to 900 DYKs, to all of which I have added detailed references. My edit count should be in the 300 to 400 thousand range by now. Questia will allow me to find many of the sources that I have been unable to find in Google / News / Archive, either because the sources are unavailable at all or only cover a limited time range.
  2. Haaqfun (talk · contribs) on Chinese Wikipedia since October 2006; edited topics related to literature and ethnology, 6000+ edits[1]. Questia will allow me to find many English sources related to non-Chinese literature.
  3. TBrandley (talk · contribs) I have wrote and contributed to a number of articles, including 3 featured articles, 2 featured lists and 20 good articles. Access to Questia would be helpful in finding more book sources for articles. Thank you.
  4. Dlv999 (talk · contribs) I have largely been editing in Middle Eastern history and IP related articles, writing content as well as verifying and improving references. Questia will be helpful in these activities. My account is over one year old and currently has 3,096 live edits. Dlv999 (talk) 11:44, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Cabe6403 (talk · contribs) I am approaching around 6000 edits on this here Wikipedia. My contribution to article development hasn't been as great as some others, no doubt, but I believe I'd be able to make good use of access to this service to better wikipedia overall. Thanks, Scott.
  6. Tenebrae (talk · contribs) I am a longtime Wikipedia editor, with nearly eight years and more than 75,000 edits to my credit. I have created over 200 articles, including the popular List of African-American firsts. While much of my work has involved popular culture, I've also created articles on newspapers (such as The Daily Compass and Cleveland News), institutions (Lighthouse International), and historical figures (Takeo Ito).
  7. Egeymi (talk · contribs) Although I am editor just for ten months, I have more than 25 000 edits and 211 articles started. Since I am focusing on recent history of the Middle East and politicians, access to Questia will improve the info I put.
  8. Lemurbaby (talk · contribs) I've been an editor since 2010 writing mainly on Madagascar topics, but increasingly focusing on Rwanda as well. As I work and live in developing countries where access to library resources is limited, Questia will enable me to increase the scope of my research and contribute more to increasing the coverage of Africa-related articles. 14. Tucoxn (talk · contribs) I would like a Questia account if one becomes available. I've been editing on English Wikipedia since 2008, but I also edit on French Wikipedia, Fijian Wikipedia, and Simple Wikipedia. I am mainly a researcher and content creator. I currently have over 2,000 edits on English Wikipedia, with over 1,300 unique pages edited and six articles created. When I create a new article, I try to have it listed on the main page, at Did you know? I've also created several articles on Fijian Wikipedia. I write articles on plants, animals, and locations in the Pacific region and notable deceased Americans. I intend to continue a similar pattern of editing. Access to Questia would help me because it's difficult to find reliable sources on some of the topics and the libraries in Fiji, where I live, are difficult to access and not well stocked. 8. Jeremy112233 (talk · contribs). English Wikipedia editor since January 2012 with nearly 18,000 edits. Most of my attention is focused on content generation. All of my reference use full citation information, which helps users to verify the information I add to the encyclopedia even if they do not have access to the pay-site's articles. Most of my articles require a large amount of research as they deal with contemporary issues where the sources I need are often behind paywalls rather than available freely on Google's reference searches like Scholar or News. That said, they just changed the Google News search so the old Archive function is no longer available, providing even less good sources to create articles. My articles are largely on law, medical, or entertainment related people or firms, and Highbeam would make my articles better researched, and allow me to create articles on subjects I may otherwise not be able to. I do not currently have ready access to Questia through either a university or a library; I did a few years ago and found it extremely helpful.Jeremy112233 (talk) 16:49, 24 January 2014 (UTC)  Done[reply]

  79. Uhlan (talk · contribs) - I have been a Wikipedia editor for several years now, during which time I have created over twenty five articles. I am interested in history and politics, and these interests are reflected in my editing. Naturally, it is difficult to gain a wide variety of sources (particularly primary sources) in order to reference Wikipedia articles, and as a result I would find it useful to browse the Questia online library for sources.
