You are absolutely right about this user, and the sad thing is the Wiki football project can't seem to handle it. Maybe you can add some examples here: [[2]] The Biboko example is an excellent example :he replaces imaginary stats with other imaginary stats. Gnarf, of course (got the 2008-09 a metre away), thanks alot for Nibletts dod! It seems there were a dozen of Zombie-discussions without any result and this one looks no different. I just dont understand why the regular authors do nothing while hes adding unsourced or wrong information in thousands of articles. Adam Straith and many other canadian players are also good examples how he interprets sources, when he defines some new canadian youth teams like U-16 and U-18 by counting unofficial (Miscellaneous) matches that the Canadian FA isnt counting in their statistical overview. Siehe dich um viele Portugisiesische Spieler und auch anderen beruhen auf User editierte Quellen wie Weltfussball, Transfermarkt, Soccerway, ZeroZeroFootball diese Quellen sind total unseriös und viele statistiken und aktuelle Vereine unkomplettiert, veraltet bzw. die Spieler bei komplett falschen Vereinen, diese waren dort zwar im gespräch aber nie unter Vertrag, daher plädiere ich auf seriöse Seiten (Vereinsseiten, Zeitungsartikel (Kicker, L'Equipe, Gazzetta Dello Sport etc.) und nicht diese pseudo quellen wie transfermarkt usw. Its fictional data from infinite banned User:Zombie433. He was was banned because he added tons of such fictional data. Can you please explain, how this link proves 10 (5) for the zambian U-19? There is no mention of any appearances, I dont question that he scored fifa goals in that tournament, but what is about qualification rounds and friendlies, and where says the source something about 10 games?... Since you were blanking the section, I thought you were disputed whether they had played for the U17s, so I linked you a Man United article where it mentions their U17 performances. Though I'm a football fan I don't know where to find the information you're looking for, I only watch a few players pages to look out for vandalism and I mainly contribute to music-related articles. Perhaps someone at WP:FOOTBALL might know? Perhaps for now we can keep the lower number, and add a footnote saying that the numbers are correct up to (whatever date the championship finished)?

That's great, excellent work. Looking back now, I remember getting a bit stuck on the Ambler table as I couldn't settle on a format for the leagues involved, e.g. Spurs and the Southern and United Leagues. I'll have another play around. I've tallied up the Sissons table so it's ready to go in. Could you just let me know which source you used for the Norwich stats please? Hiya, would you mind checking the title of this article on BNA please? The preview has 'Pint Koma Raeofd', but I'm guessing that's not what the paper actually printed! Just looking at the Ambler/WHCC stuff. I've done the table for Ambler. I had a play about with the formatting: of the two versions, I think the second is probably more standard/neater. Of course, none of that supports the assertion in the Who's Who of West Ham United that he made 133 first-team apps for Spurs. I may remove that from the prose.

On the WHCC stats, only 1891–92 appears not be be referenced (other than the two missing ones). I'd put that line in originally (Ilford 4–2 Upton Park, Spotted Dog Ground) but this seems to be an error. This article appears to show the score as 4–0. Could you just confirm that please? (oddly, this article seems to show Ilford losing a semi-final reply to Woodville, but there you go). Thanks, Nzd (talk) 14:55, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi there. I think both versions for Ambler will do the job, personally I'd prefer the first a bit more... According to my perception Tony Hoggs book is really subpar and full of errors, I usually try to not use it... I checked the 1891-92 final again, was for sure a 4-0 for Ilford. Small addition on Ambler. According to Goodwins "The Spurs Alphabet", Ambler played really 133 matches for Tottenham. But that includes 74 "other matches", including many many friendlies. In the Complete Record he's credited with a total of 132..., possibly the new Spurs Who's Who from 2018 got another small correction on his total.. ACL & Polar Publishing Ltd., Leicester 1992, ISBN 0-9514862-8-4, p. 16f.) got a more detailed listing, with 74 "other appearances" (incl. Wrote about Blackwood a couple of years ago and faced the same problem: Readings pre FL statistics are not published as far as I know. Neither Heaven on Earth: The Official History of Reading F.C, 1871-2003 by Sedunary nor Downs' Definitive Reading FC: A Statistical History to 1998 include the Reading lineups before 1920. I'm still wondering if there's a Southern League publication I dont know about. Yep, Kaffir information comes from Alphabet of the Celts. Cant find lineups or extensive reports in the BNA for that game... What seems to be wrong is the information, that he was switched from the centre forward position in his single league game, the match reports doesnt mention anything like that (though he's not praised either..) I was a little worried that you'd duplicated information when looking at the links on List of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. seasons, but it actually appears that the page is incorrectly linking to a completely different competition (FYI @Govvy). Interestingly, Steve Marsh has these matches on his site as friendlies.[3] I'll ask him about that. A Coventry City programme describes a 1911 fixture as an "extra" match.[4] I'm just working on an update to the Frank Burton article, but I'll do some digging myself when I get a mo. Sorry @Govvy, I can understand why that might have been confusing to be pinged mid-conversation. There are various links formatted as "[[Sheriff of London Charity Shield|Southern Charity Cup]]" on the List of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. seasons article, i.e. implying that the Southern Charity Cup is the same thing as the Sheriff of London Charity Shield. However, if you compare the list of champions/finalists (SLCS/SCC), they are quite obviously different, and the prose within the Spurs list (detailing the wins) suggests that the link is wrong. Any chance you could have a look for Burton in your QPR book(s)? According to QPRnet, he was there between summer 1910 and Feb 1912, but didn't feature for them at all (at least not for the first team). I just wanted to make sure that was right. I was also going to ask if there's anything useful in your books about the end of his time at Charlton (being replaced in the team, injuries, etc) and when he left. Also, do you have any mention of him moving to Grays? Joyce has the club as Grays Thurrock and there seems to be an assumption that this is the same club as Grays Athletic, but this is demonstrably not the case (there are many articles on the BNA that show them to be separate entities, at least at that point), I'm inclined to remove him from the Grays Athletic players cat. • served in the 1st Royal Fusiliers, Dec. 1914 to July 1920 and was wounded on six occasions. Received the Victory and General Service Medal, French decorations: Medaille Militaire and the Croix de Guerre
• had the rare record of assisting two clubs during their first FL season

Colin Cameron, Sidcup 2003, ISBN 978-0-9518125-2-5, p. 21ff. shows that Burton partnered at the start of the 1924-25 season Baden Herod in the full back positions, from October onward Norman Smith (born 1897, not Norman Smith (English footballer)) was preferred.
