"We Are Robin Hood!" Edit

Thank you for your message. I understand that I went about challenging the Robin Hood episode article in the wrong way, and appreciate that you (or someone) has now updated the page to reflect the fact that it contains unsupported statements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.140.7.94 (talk) 16:20, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi. You recently reverted an edit by 163.153.64.30 (It is not one that I made. I've been monitoring the anonymous edits from that range of addresses), and warned them about vandalism. I am not familiar with the series, but given that the section is titled "777 Tools of Hell", could it be possible that the edit was valid? --NERIC-Security (talk) 19:53, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Anytime. Thanks for taking a second look.--NERIC-Security (talk) 20:02, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Raj Mundra

I added a quote which was removed, my source for Lise Meitner's quotes is (Cornwell, Hitler's Scientists, 411) following:

You all worked for Nazi Germany. And you tried to offer only a passive resistance. Certainly, to buy off your conscience you helped here and there a persecuted person, but millions of innocent human beings were allowed to be murdered without any kind of protest being uttered... [it is said that] first you betrayed your friends, then your children in that you let them stake their lives on a criminal war - and finally that you betrayed Germany itself, because when the war was already quite hopeless, you did not once arm yourselves against the senseless destruction of Germany.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.23.63.22 (talk) 20:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Luke Wiles

I'd like to know your criteria for deleting edited info. What source is backing up the claim "h posses exceptional talent on and off the floor"? or also know as "the Show"?

what is your personal problem? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.143.158.98 (talk) 20:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

First of all, thanks for pointing that out. I've edited the article to reflect that. I didn't read the entire article, only the changes that you kept making. However, you have got to be kidding me that you truly believe your addition of, "Hails from Orillia, Ontario, Canada! One of the Boyz! He stink at poker tho! (stop deleting this!)" is encyclopedic material? It's fine to put in his hometown (with a source), but I won't even bother addressing the rest of that.Jauerback (talk) 20:47, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

James LeBron Insulting My Race

Good sir.

Dragons are held as sacred as Jesus, if not God Himself, in China, my homeland.

We Chinese have the very Blood of Dragons in our veins.

With all due respect, I hope you're not proposing that what James LeBron did wasn't an evil insult to the pride of our race? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Regretful Wombat (talkcontribs) 14:17, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm not suggesting anything about LeBron James' actions, however you definitely added defamatory comments to the article that are WP:OR and extremely WP:POV and would be considered libel per WP:BLP. Jauerback (talk) 14:27, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Zychlin

Hi Jauerback,

I created the Zychlin site in the first place! I didn't understand why information about the city was added to an entry for the Hasidic dynasty! I was trying to separate the information, the city info from the dynasty. The changes I made where to the site that I created. I don't know what authority you have but threatening me for changing a page that I created is insulting to say the lest, especially when other people added information that has no relevance to the page that I was creating. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yatziv (talkcontribs) 18:05, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

You were deleting large portions of the article without an edit summary, so there is no way to tell what your intentions were. Also, just because you created the article, does not make it yours. Did you discuss any of your deletions on the article's talk page first so a consensus could be reached? Perhaps some other editors(s) felt the additions were relevant. I'm not here to judge that. However, all I saw were mass deletions of text without explanation. I reverted those. Jauerback (talk) 18:51, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Thnx for the offer

Thnx for offering to help. I was not having issues editing. I was trying to erase the city information from the article I posted. After reading your letter, it does seem to be better to have created a page for the city too. For your information, more people would be interested in the dynasty then some hole in the wall town from Poland. LOL Anyway Thanks again

As for the help, I would like to add a picture in the Grand Rabbi's section how would you go about doing it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yatziv (talkcontribs) 00:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Warnings

Thanks for your message. I'm running into problems with the program that I am using when I try to do both a roll back and a warn at the same time (if the roll back fails due to someone else reverting it first, the software still puts up a duplicated user warning, one from the successful roll back, and one from me). Any suggestions as to software that works well for you? Igoldste (talk) 23:12, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I figured the evidence of sockpuppetry was enough based on what he said in his edits. Useight (talk) 17:20, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Yep, I noticed that. I filed a vandalism report right after, since sockpuppet reports aren't processed as quickly. I figured that with such a small number of contributions to review, the vandalism report would suffice. Then I noticed the note in the vandalized revision belatedly and reported it as further evidence. :) —Erik (talkcontrib) - 17:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Adminship

What do you think about becoming an admininstrator? I am willing to nominate you. Let me know. Useight (talk) 17:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Looking at your statistics, I think you may be ready now. If you would like, we could go through a few questions first to see how good your handle on policy and procedures is. Or I could just set up a nomination page on RFA and we can see how it goes. Whatever you want to do. Useight (talk) 01:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I have created User:Jauerback/Admin Coaching and have listed the first three questions there. Once you've answered those, we'll go on further down the questions list. Useight (talk) 16:41, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

I think you have a pretty good handle on stuff. I added a few more questions, the last questions I have. I think we're pretty much ready to go to RFA. Useight (talk) 16:44, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Everything looks pretty good. I'd be surprised if your RFA didn't pass, I'll go ahead and write up a nomination and let you know when it's ready. Useight (talk) 21:38, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

RFA Nomination

I have gone ahead and created Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Jauerback with my nomination on it. To get the ball rolling, just accept the nomination, answer the questions, and transclude the RFA onto WP:RFA. Useight (talk) 23:00, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

It was kind of ironic, I saw that you were actively editing, so I went and created the RFA so you'd be available to accept and answer questions, but the time that I created the page (22:54) was exactly the same time you stopped editing and took a break for a couple hours and weren't online a couple minutes later when I sent you the message to tell you it was ready. So, yeah, that was a weird coincidence. Useight (talk) 01:58, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

!Voting during nomination

I think you should be fine commenting in other RFAs, just don't !vote support in all of them by copying and pasting them all in 2 minutes. That would look suspiciously like canvassing. And don't mention that you're concurrently in RFA. Other than those two guidelines, go right ahead. Useight (talk) 03:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

article for deletion

according to faihlessthewonderboy, these are non-notable so what is it really that you think makes them notable. i have a quote from him saying that myspace and blogs are not acceptable and that amy dumas career outside music contributes nothing to her band page yet it is still written about and their album page lists absolutely no references and they have no label, if you can not prove notability then i am truly being discriminated, i hope you have a good answer for yourself and faithlessthewondeboy because he knows know i have him backed into a corner, i am a pro with the internet, you cannot fool me so please explain notability. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 03:54, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

i really think you should state why it is notable since we are all about proof and reference around here, because according to being notable as a band.. they have accomplished nothing. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:00, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

haha, trying to challenge me, lame. i'll do it i already have the proof and the quotes from an administrator himself saying what is not considered a reference, which proves this wikipedia is purely based off the current administrator's opinion and not the regulations of wikipedia. nice one guys. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:08, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

no i get it, but you guys don't get it... i do not want them to be deleted but you have not proven to me what criteria they meet, according to the words of the other admin, they have acquired nothing, and the page i was working on was fully functional with perfect links and references. i need to know why there page is notable and the one i was making not. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

So, if i submit a page that is notable and meets the criteria with verifiable links... there is no way you can go with your opinion on it and have it removed since it will follow the rules and as long as the references are not from blogs or myspace... or does myspace prove to be valid since 4 references on the luchagors page are from myspace blogs? --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

i understand what you are saying but i still have to go back on point to say that according to what bands need to pass eligibility on wikipedia the luchagors have not one of them at all so i still don't know why their page exists when the page i put up will be exactly the same and more with better references, i tried putting mine up but it wouldn't be allowed for whatever reason. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:46, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

haha that is too funny, my references were myspace because i didn't exactly know how to do the wiki pages before but i can source every piece of word on the page, if i do that it should be notable. but... the fact that someone in her band is known is irrelevant because according to the other admin he said that the person in our band christy hemme is very well known for everything she does but the fact that she has not been noted as a singer means our page is not notable but how will she ever get noticed as a singer if we can not write about her? her page now mentions the fact that she is in a band... i was the one who figured, what the hell now they mentioned the band i might as well write everything about it since it has been mentioned, but you are wrong if the singer of that other bands gives them notability because she notable as a wrestler just like our singer. so what else can you tell me? --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 04:58, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

ok mr. professional, aren't you supposed to help me? i understand that you can not prove they are notable because no one can because they are not according to the rules i have read 3 times... i just want to understand what asserts to be notable means... like they could be telling the truth or what? come on just be straight with me. it really does just seem like your opinion and not rules, because according to the rules i would have deleted them as an administrator for not following ONE guideline. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 05:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Just to clear things up

SLICKFINGERS and I never even discussed the article in question. He's trying to twist my words to make it seem like I said that page should be deleted (I'm not saying it should or shouldn't, I've barely looked at it. By the way, congrats on your RfA! :) faithless (speak) 04:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

liar... i quoted fathless saying that pages using references such as myspace and blogs are not notable... i never said he said the luchagors pages should not exist.

PROOF:

"To be honest, you're probably fighting a losing battle here. If you can provide links from reliable sources (I'm talking Rolling Stone, Spin, newspapers, Pitchfork, MTV, etc. and not Myspace, blogs, etc.), then show them to me. I'll be happy to look over them and let you know if we can make an article." -(speak) --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 05:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

It seems to me that regardless of your self proclaimed 'net prowess you are singularly unable to comprehend the difference between notable and reliable. Likewise you seem to be proficient at pissing off two admins simultaneously whilst managing to not understand a simple list of criteria. Add to that that in spite of your alleged web prowess you are unable to follow simple links given to you that explain every single question you have so far asked. I'm just amazed that you aren't the band's drummer with that sort of resume! --WebHamster 05:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

hey jack sorry about deleting it, i just thought it was in bad taste for the adminstrator: WebHamster so say what he did about drummer,s (my brother being one) since it does seem a little unprofessional on his part. --SLICKFINGERS (talk) 06:03, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm not an administrator, nor am I a Wikipedia professional. I don't get paid for doing this, neither do the very patient admins you've been pissing off all evening. Meanwhile as part of your obviously lacking musical experience perhaps you should go to here to see the time-honoured muso's (tongue-in-cheek) view of drummers. --WebHamster 06:14, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of Main//Pyrus DMS

I'm sorry that i commited an article that seemed to you as blatant advertising. I ensure you, this is an open-source project and there is no company behind me that makes me publish that article. I saw the article on a very similar software (alfreso) and felt that i wanted to create an article on Main//Pyrus DMS.

I would like to change the article to give it some more content. As i oriented myself in the creation of the page on the content of the alfresco page i think i'm going to get it better done. I was also thinking in editing the page frequently to get more content over time.

So please give me a chance to edit the page for a better version of the article.

1st regarding the blatant copyrite infringement. I have rewritten the article in complete to remove the copyrite problems, and even the paraphrasing I attempted in my second attempt at the article. All of the text in the current version of the article is my own, with facts pulled from relevant sources.
2nd My article was deleted based on Wikipedia:CSD#A7 which to my understanding is a policy there to prevent trivial articles. I would like to cite the following 2 sources to both prove via what I think qualify as credible sources that my article is both not trivial and that the information contained within is citable.
[1] - is a news story from dailytexanonline about 3 students who were lost in Airmen's cave and rescued by the local firefighters. This story was carried by multiple other news sources (CNN CBS
My second source to cite information about the cave is from [The World Caves Database http://www-sop.inria.fr/agos-sophia/sis/DB/database.html]. If you scroll down to the United States on [this list http://www-sop.inria.fr/agos-sophia/sis/DB/countries.html] from their site you will see Airmen's Cave listed, with information including it's total length.
3rd My original retype of the article included information from the personal web site of Michael Wescott Loder who is accepted as one of the caves original explorers and did significant work mapping the cave. This information sadly, is not citable yet since I have not been able to find credible coverage to back up the information presented on his web site. The current write up of the Airmen's Cave article I would like to implement will not include information from this source until I find a credible and scholarly way to cite it as accurate. I would like to link 2 sites here, which are people's personal sites that though not citable, do backup in greater detail much of the information I've put forth here. I believe these to might qualify for being added as external links to allow readers to navigate to the pages and read and decide for themselves.

Endicott Studio

Earlier today, you deleted an article regarding the Endicott Studio. The article had been rather peculiarly edited and left in a condition which as it stood made it inappropriate for Wikipedia. The Endicott Studio is a group including several very prominent & very notable & often-major-award winning fantasy writers, and I strongly suspect someone with a grudge damaged it and then promoted its deletion. What looks like the original & valid article is still in Google's cache here [2], is there any easy way to bring it back? The Enchantress Of Florence (talk) 01:34, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

your deletion of Jerzy Janowicz

Hi there.

08:32, 31 January 2008 Jauerback (Talk | contribs) deleted "Jerzy Janowicz" ‎ (CSD A7 (Bio): Biographical article that does not assert significance)

Unfortunately, I can't tell from this, how hopeless the English version was. As one of the authors of the Polish Wikipedia version (pl:Jerzy Janowicz), I might be able to rescue this, if you show me the deleted text. Take a look at the infobox and result tables in the Polish article - even in Polish, you should be able to glean whether this young tennis player is notable enough for inclusion at this time on the English Wikipedia. He is, after all a finalist of US Open 2007 (tennis, juniors). I think I could make his biography sound enough. Best, --Mareklug talk 15:01, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

deletion of madison+main

Hello. I was notified that you deleted my page because it was "blatant advertising." I'm quite astonished that my page was actually, in fact, deleted (and not just marked for deletion), as I was still editing the page. I had used the "in use" tag at the top of my page and even when my page was marked for deletion it still said that it was also still being edited. Why was my page deleted? I fully understand the rules of "speedy deletion" but find it ridiculous that I wasn't given a chance to eliminate the "blatant advertising" from my page before it was deleted. Please, if you can, un-delete my page so that I may make it a credible encyclopedia entry.

Thank you. --Defstef (talk) 17:33, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your note and your explanation. I would very much like it if you would post the text onto a subpage for me. And I will be sure to compare my text with the text of the entries for other advertising agencies and to check out the community portal for assistance in creating a page with notability. Thank you again. --Defstef (talk) 19:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Let's make peace

Here you go. I'm using my regular IP at home. ORYZ is the vandal. NOT me. He's posting fake birthdates with no source. He posts fake birthdates for video game characters for God's sake. Even someone reverted his fake Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas edits. I'm simply reverting them also. Ban me if you want but PLEASE don't revert my edits. There is NO source. Ban him. I'm NOT a vandal. Why you fail to see that ORYZ is the vandal I'll never know. You don't see me blanking other topic pages and posting fake birthdates and "bla bla bla" crap.

Look, here are ORYZ's fake edits.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Carl_%22CJ%22_Johnson&diff=prev&oldid=179892383

And here are the reverts.

Here's Squishy Vic confirming he is a vandal.

Thank you. :D

Re MER MEC S.p.A: Although I agree with the deletion in principle, there may be some claim to an "assertion of notability" in the part about their innovations. The original author tried to put up a {{hangon}} tag as well. Although I doubt the article's notability, I'd like to restore it and send it to AfD instead, since the author seems to think it has a legitimate claim. - Revolving Bugbear 18:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Bollee

Hi! My name is Manish Modi and I had just created an article on Prof Willem Bollee, a leading Indologist and scholar of Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit. There was absolutely no form of advertising, he is a notable scholar with a host of acadedemic achievements. So pray, why did you delete it? Manish Modi 04:24, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

Hi! You are deleting the article without even telling me why! Please do justify to me why you consider an article on a scholar to be blatant advertising. Manish Modi 04:35, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

I see. Could you please do me a favour and send me back th original article by email? (I did not save it anywhere, and I had spent over an hour poring over it.) I shall take a printout and work on it right away. I can email it back to you or put it up on Wiki, and hopefully the result will be far better.

My email id is <manishymodi@gmail.com> Thank you. Manish Modi 04:43, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Please do not go with my timings. I am new and pretty confused with Wiki. When I saw that the article had been deleted, I was nonplussed. I was trying to find out what happened. Took me a while to fig. out.
But please do email me the article as I had last saved it, just before the speedy deletion. I will not put it up like this, but at least I have the skeleton to work with!
Thank you
Manish Modi 04:48, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
My reply.

Hi! Thanks a lot! I shall definitely work on it and make it more amenable to the teleology of Wiki. Thank you very much for saving what I had written, because it would have been a pain to retype everything!

Is there someplace where I could email the article to you (and others) after redoing it in accordance with Wiki standards? I would much rather write it, have it checked by someone like you and then have it posted to Wiki. The idea is to build awareness of the notable contributions made to Indological studies by scholars.

best wishes, Manish Modi 05:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Beyt Tikkun keep?

Curious to know what the rationale for keeping the article when it clearly failed every test? Several admins chimed in and all stated as such. Bstone (talk) 19:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

My addition to my first reply.
I thought an AfD was not based on opinion but rather based on policy? The article fails every test of policy. I even asked on AfD about mob keep and was assured that the closure would be based on policy and not majority vote. Bstone (talk) 20:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
Huh? Your reply on my talk page is highly confusing. I may have been mistaken about the number of admins, but mob keep is what it seems happened. Spam in The Servant (book)?!...

Hello, Jauerback,

Why The Servant (book) has been deleted (so refused as... spam[?!]), while, The Little Prince (correctly, Le Petit Prince...) remains as valid article at this Wikipedia?

Note that the purpose of "The Sevant (book)" — under strict encyclopedic viewpoint — is exactly the same: to present, at this encyclopedic corpus, one more valid article about a literary work. Ex positis, why, in fact, has been deleted the referred article?

EgídioCamposDiz! 00:03, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

Notability...

...is a so relative matter! Despite of all — and first of all — I wish to thank you for your short but complete deference about this question. However, I must point out that — as you have said — "(...) there was absolutely no assertion of notability in the book, so in it's form, it's only purpose could be interpreted as advertising or spam (...)" [sic, bold and italic forms are mine]. So... as the writing's purpose could be interpreted as (...), it seems that a second or third different oppinion may be pointed, do not you think?

By according, by not, I thank you once more. The unique purpose of mine is (not was...) to provide a new useful article at this Wiki.

Best salutations! EgídioCamposDiz! 11:12, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

You should remove the protection on the talk page for user Douglasfgrego

Hey buddy, it's Doug Grego. I put in an unblock request this morning, and about an hour later you denied the request, but that's not all. You felt compelled to protect the talk page as well, and you cited as grounds abuse of the unblock template. What you didn't include was an explanation of exactly how making three unblock requests on the original day of the block, and then another one 5 days later constitutes abuse of the unblock template, and grounds locking a user's discussion page.

That is totally out of line, is an abuse of administrator power, and quite frank, is a Richard move.

So, I think you should go back in there, and first either unblock the account, or cite legitimate grounds for denying the unblock request, then, either remove the page protection or cite legitimate grounds for imposing a page protection. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 57.69.22.246 (talk) 15:25, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Super. If you haven't already, please also keep a watch on User talk:138.23.89.187, as the same vandal has been known to visit the other Riverside college campus to circumvent a block on 204.69.4.82. I have no idea why the vandal has a problem with Garrison Keillor‎, but he/she also likes to vandalize articles on Keillor's intellectual property, such as Lake Wobegon, A Prairie Home Companion‎, and A Prairie Home Companion (film). Thanks again for the watchful eye, and especially for your willingness to take appropriate action. --Art Smart (talk) 14:59, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Notice of potential block - Redlance

Jauerback, this is about potential block notice on me. I'm sorry to have over stepped my limits.

"Kokarako Gumango" is another sockpuppet of Mudaliar, youonlylivetwice..etc. If you see his/her edits, it's nothing but reverting old edits of banned user (Mudaliar, youonlylivetwice). And I have invited for discussion but this user is only bent upon defiling this page. please see Sengunthar discussion.

IP vandalism is continuing in various forms, I also requested for indefinite page protection on 13th March and as well today. Please help by protecting indefinitely with my "last undo" -- Redlance —Preceding unsigned comment added by Redlance (talkcontribs) 14:43, 22 Mar 2008

My reply.
Redlance is a sock of Venki123 who was banned by the arbitration committee.[5]. Was also confirmed to be editing only by open proxies. I request you to block this user. Kokarako Gumango (talk) 19:46, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
Ok, I have filed a case as you told:[6]Kokarako Gumango (talk) 06:59, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Jauerback, Thanks, I'm not sockpuppet of anyone and not using proxy IP. I'm using same IP and not using any proxy as KK. Earlier the accusation made by User:youonlylivetwice were found false, subsequently was cleared [7] [8] and he was banned. My interest is same "protecting the Sengunthar from defiling here in WIKI, so I edit Sengunthar and Mudaliar pages". Redlance (talk) 07:13, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Look closely at Redlance's initial post to your talk page: here [9], he says he has been cleared but then instead of giving the link to his talk page, he gives the link to the talk page of his sock Saedirof. Next he also admits to have edited the Mudaliar page, but as of 07:13, 23 March 2008 (the time of this post to your page) Redlance has never edited the Mudaliar article even once. If he is not using socks then how could he have edited Mudaliar page? Well there you go. Block him. Kokarako Gumango (talk) 08:06, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, Jauerback, The reference to User:Saedirof is to show that earlier too User:youonlylivetwice branded me and User:Saedirof together and how in the process User:youonlylivetwice got banned. I do have email from user:Thatcher who unblocked the IP address. I said, "edit" Redlance (talk) 11:29, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Please make your arguments at Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Venki123 and keep it off my talk page. I'm no longer involved in this. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 15:42, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

With all due respect, I can easily create an article on myself and establish suitable notability for inclusion; I feel that's exactly what this person has done. Only other edit was a nearly contentless nanostub on a book she wrote and published via a vanity press outlet. If you feel it's sutable for AfD, I'd like to request that you propose it as such if you wouldn't mind. {{reqphoto}}

Greg, I ran across your categorization by counties in California for {{reqphoto}} and this template. First of all, I think it's a great idea, and I'm slowly working on making Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Illinois the same. However, wouldn't it be easier/possible to make the template a general template for use on all states, rather than just California? Jauerbackdude?/dude. 14:26, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I was toying with that idea. However, both the phrase "California counties" and the link to the Table of California counties do not repeat for each state. Also, my thinking was that each state WikiProject might want to revise their own "instructions for requested photographs in (state)" template. With Georgia WikiProject, we successfully modified their talk page template so that they no longer need {{reqphoto}}. I would be happy to do that for Illinois. Template:HowtoreqphotoinUS

Hi Jauerback. I took your suggestion and made a general request photo template for use on all states, rather than just California. The template is at Template:HowtoreqphotoinUS. Examples of its use are at Boone County and Los Angeles. Since you are an admin, I could use your help to edit Template:WikiProject Illinois to add image location requests as I did for Template:WikiProject California and some other state WikiProjects. I'll contact you when I have the code ready for Template:WikiProject Illinois. Thanks. GregManninLB (talk) 21:13, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

My reply.
I modified the template to include the categories. See Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Boise County, Idaho as an example implementation of the change. The category change also worked for Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Boone County, Illinois. (We probably shouldn't overwhelm state Wikiprojects categories by categorize each county category in a state Wikiproject. I removed the WikiProject Illinois from the Boone County, Illinois category. Re: CSD C1

Hello. WP:CSD#C1 and WP:CSD#C3 are separate criterion. That is, some categories can fall under one, the other, both, or neither. C1 requires that a category must be empty for four days before being deleted. C3 deals with categories that have been emptied from a no-longer-used template. Basically, if you're going to create category pages, it's best to find at least one item to go into them. Or, if you can't, put a note at the top explaining that the category may be empty for a while.

On an unrelated note, using categories for this particular task seems awfully silly and probably should be avoided entirely. But that's neither here nor there. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 19:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

reqphoto

Hi Jauerback. One of my goals is to phase out the use of reqphoto on U.S. state articles. This will help reduce banner clutter on these pages. If you look at the bottom of Template:WikiProject_Illinois, you will see the recommended base string {{WikiProject Illinois|class=|importance=|imageneeded=|in=|nested=|unref=}}. This should be posted on the talk pages of the articles listed at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Illinois and the reqphoto banner then should be removed. For example, in stead of Talk:Caledonia, Illinois having the two banners {{WikiProject Illinois |class=Stub |importance=Mid}} and {{reqphoto|in=Boone County, Illinois}}, the single string {{WikiProject Illinois|class=Stub|importance=Mid|imageneeded=yes|in=Boone County, Illinois|nested=|unref=}} would convey the same information and banner clutter would be reduced. I'll take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Photography. Thanks. GregManninLB (talk) 13:50, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

My reply.
Since WikiProject Illinois is a parent project of WikiProject Chicago, WikiProject Illinois's banner should display and categorize the photo request and WikiProject Chicago template should be changed to only categorize the photo request as needed by WikiProject Chicago. For now, I don't see any problem with using both templates to the fullest. GregManninLB (talk) 14:18, 18 April 2008 (UTC
My reply.
The county sorts do not have all Illinois articles in one category. Category:Illinois articles needing images is how the WikiProject keeps track of all articles within its scope that need images. I explained it here. GregManninLB (talk) 14:28, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Jauerback. I haven't given up on the U.S. request photo scheme. At the moment, I'm looking into categories, how WikiProjects use categories, and how the code works for the WikiProject templates. Conclusion: Image placeholders centralized discussion

Hi. I'm sending this to you because you participated in the Centralized discussion on image placeholders that ended on 23 April.

That discussion must produce a conclusion.

Hey, remember me

It's been too long. I'm glad to see you finally stopped acting like a jackass to me. I have been vindicated. You were wrong to ban me until March of this year. ORYZ was the vandal and it was proven to be so. My Godfather edits were correct and I'm glad to see that he gave up his vandalism. I have been exonerated. He is the vandal. I am not.

New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 04:52, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

False Information Posted on the Monica Lin Brown Article

In reference to your revision http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Monica_Lin_Brown&diff=210429225&oldid=210416307 by where you reinstated false information, the source which this information is cited is from the Washington Post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/30/AR2008043003415.html If you read the article, there is no where which it states she was pulled back because she is a female. There is no official military response or reasoning to why she was removed from the fight because of the reason of being a female. Please read the article, I do not wish the post the entire article verbatim on your page but to prove my point I will. Terminator 2: Judgment Day

In Terminator 2: Judgment Day there is the first chase scene where T-1000 with a truck chasing John Connor. John Connor is trying to escape with a motorcycle. Eventually Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) saved John from T-1000. In this chasing phrase, there is a scene where Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is jumping with his motorcycle (it was a very dangerous jump scene). My question is that whether this jump scene was actually done by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, or by some stunt man? Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 11:40, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Email from LDCortez (info@oceanbridgegroup.com)

To remain transparent about the "Cary Herrman" article, here's an email I received from User: LDCortez:

Hi, I am uncertain as to why you are continuously attempting to delete the page I researched and created for a school project. It meets all criteria and guidelines- I appreciate your persistence, but really, I feel you are attacking my work because someone said that I worked for Cary Herrman??

He has notability: http://oceanbridgegroup.com/news.php

...and is an important leader in orchestrating corporations to assist 3rd world countries: http://oceanbridgegroup.com/causes.php

Please let me know what else I need to provide so that this man's page is held in the integrity that it deserves.

Thank you Jauerback,

Yours,

Laura

My reply:
I'm uncertain why you insist on removing the headers that have been placed up on the page after numerous warnings to stop. I have never attempted to delete your page until yesterday when I submitted it to AFD, which you promptly removed the header for... again.
Just because YOU say he's notable, doesn't make it so. You have done nothing to prove that he is. It doesn't meet neither the criteria nor guidelines set by Wikipedia and I believe is being merely used as additional form of advertisement so his potential clients can go, "Wow, he must be important, he as a Wikipedia article."
Also, I really have a hard time believing any claim that you merely researched this as a school project and have no affiliation with Mr. Herrmann. According to this website: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/2/370/113, Mr. Herrmann's secretary is Lucy Cortez. You're telling me that your initials just happen to be L Cortez, but you're just an unbiased, unaffialiated, unaware, student named, Laura Cortez? Right. Then, I guess that would also make all your claims of self-made pictures for Mr. Hermann invalid, too, which will probably mean they get deleted.
Oh, by the way, next time you try and claim you're a student and not affiliated with Mr. Herrman, you might want to think about changing your email address. "info@oceanbridgegroup.com" just happens to be coming from his company's website. Still wanna go with that claim?
Please stop trying to play innocent.

Unblock suggestion

After I warned LDCortez not to repeat various kinds of edits, and before LDCortez had made any other edit anywhere, you blocked LDCortez.

I urge you to cancel your block, which (for example) prevents LDCortez from making a legitimate defense of the article. (Worse, the fact that -- before my warning, of course -- LDCortez dumped on your user page makes your block look rather personal, even if it wasn't personal.) Hoary (talk) 02:17, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Cary Herrman

Hi Jauerback, I am working to preserve an article you had blocked/ deleted. In reviewing the information and your history with the original creator, it appears you placed a block on the page and I am asking you to remove it. This looks like a personal attack against LDCortez and I would like to focus on the objectivity of the article in and of itself. Mr. Herrman is notable.

Thank you. BHOrchid (talk) 19:49, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

Cary Herrman

Thank you for your response Jauerback. Seeing what was going on between you and the creator, I took the liberty of copying the work in the chance you were to have had the article deleted. From what I can see, the article on Cary Herrman is notable and relevant. I will follow your direction, submit this to wikipedia and solicit the help of other objective administrators (not accusing you of being subjective) to have the article reposted and protected. I am uncertain as to the incident between LDCortez and yourself, I feel it an important article for others to share. Thank you. BHOrchid (talk) 20:09, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

Hi JB-

No, I will not take your skepticism personally. This has to do with an article that appears you attacked. I am not User:LDCortez, 2. Another employee of Cary Herrman's, or 3. Cary Herrmann, himself. I googled Mr. Herrman, was directed to the wiki article and witnessed what was going on between you and the creator. It appears as if you are/were in a war with the creator and I am against such a display. This is when I chose to copy the original work and to preserve it.

My question to you, as an administrator, and I hope that you do not take this personally, do you know Mr. Herrman, do you have something against the man, his contributions to his field, his contributions to humanity? Did Mr. Herrman say or do anything to you or anyone that you know? I do not know if you know LDCortez- but what is obvious to myself and others is that it is apparent you have something against the original creator and you should have removed yourself from the deletion process to maintain objectivity. What happened is not fair practice within this community- especially from an admin.

Thank you.

BHOrchid (talk) 20:52, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

My reply.
A follow up question.

Addressing your question

Certainly. In reviewing the history, I was directed to your page. Apparently the original creator of the article was in some way offensive to you. This is when you blocked LDCortez. In blocking LDCortez, the creator of the article was unable to defend the article. This appears to be an attack, by myself and others. There is also a comment from another user, Hoary, asking you to remove the block. BHOrchid (talk) 21:15, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

LDCortez

Sorry, I forgot to add this. Something doesn't add up here and I am trying to be as fair as possible.

-The user's name is LDCortez and you are saying she Emailed you from Mr. Herrman's company? Correct me if I am wrong, but perhaps she placed the Email address as a way to contact someone at Mr. Herrman's company...? I recall being asked for either an email address or my IP when registering. If LDCortez was registering to create the particular article for school as she claims, it is more than likely she used an email from Mr. Herrman's company's website. Perhaps she thought the account was tied to the article. This is why I am thinking this: You are stating that there is a secretary by the name of "Lucy". The creator's name is Laura. Am I missing something? Lastly, you directed me through the link provided to another site that lists Mr. Herrman. You state that the creator is his secretary. I only see a Randi Wilson, not a Lucy, not a Laura, not a LDCortez. Something doesn't add up here and again, this takes away from the work itself.

I hope this and my prior response helps you to see why your block and submission for deletion are an issue.

There is another expert within Mr. Herrman's field, an article on this gentlemen can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donny_Deutsch

I fail to see the difference between the two, except for the fact that Mr. Herrman has made contributions to his field where this gentlemen has not.

Thank you. BHOrchid (talk) 21:31, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

Thank you~

If you are saying that LDCortez emailed you from the email she placed instead of from wikipedia, then that makes more sense. Is this the case? Is there a way we can look at IPs to see?

The cached page makes more sense and I see your side of the argument and reasoning. I'm still uncertain as to how we are trying to connect Lucy to Laura but the change to the page is interesting unless it was simple coincidence.

I am still not in agreement with your actions on blocking the creator, as LDCortez was unable to defend her article, but can now understand your reasoning/ where you are coming from.

You appear to be getting defensive and I do not want to get on your bad side as did LDCortez, I am simply trying to understand how an objective article was able to be deleted without the creator having proper position to defend. Basically as I see it, LDCortez was tied-up, bound and gagged while the "trial" for this article occurred. To address your skepticism on how I came across the article, I googled Mr. Herrman after attending a seminar where he spoke on responsibility of business leaders to invest percentages of their business to humanitarian efforts in Africa. If you heard the man speak, you would understand why I defend him and believe he has more notability than most others on here.

I was also impressed that the topics he spoke on were found on his company's website, I respect individuals who walk their talk, so to speak. Yes, I would not only compare Mr. Herrman to a Donny Deutsch- but from what I understand, Mr. Herrman is self-made, a humanitarian and a leader in his field. Donny Deutsch inherited an agency, has had years of PR behind him and who now has a talk show about "nothing"... while Mr. Herrman is working to change the world.

Thank you. BHOrchid (talk) 22:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Jauerback, wiki guidelines ask that I place

at the top of the page for the article in review. I went to both Cary Herrman and Cary Herman and you have blocked them both, this prohibits me from following proper wiki protocol. You are either welcome to place the tag on both pages or to kindly remove your block so that the deletion review process can be completed. Thank you. BHOrchid (talk) 22:56, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Image of Monster shopping cart

Just as an FYI...while that is certainly a "monster" version of a common wheeled object, it is not a monster truck in that it does not have the monster (48" and up) tires nor would it be able to crush cars. It's a cool ride, but it's not a monster truck by definition, and doesn't really belong in the article.Arenacale (talk) 21:21, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible) system - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:46, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Please review deletion of Shmuel Yerushalmi

I just tried to go to this article in order to add information about Yerushalmi's recent arrest, and was surprised to see that it had been deleted earlier today. I have previously edited the article, but was not aware of the deletion discussion. I note that the discussion, which lasted just five days, had only five contributors; the previous deletion discussion, which lasted twelve days, attracted over thirty contributors, and no consensus was reached. I am sure that, if this discussion had been better notified and allowed to run for longer, the result would have been similar. Particularly given the circumstances of his arrest, on the basis of the content of one of his poems, it is to be expected that more readers will be interested to look at the article, which was in any case about a notablr figure.

So I request that you reconsider your decision to delete, and relist the discussion in order to allow greater participation. RolandR (talk) 00:20, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

The request Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shmuel Yerushalmi (2nd nomination), was open for the full five days, albeit it was only discussed by five users. Jauerback is correct in what he stated here, that WP:DRV is probably the best course of action. P.S. - Yeah, Jauerback, I haven't seen you around in a while, I guess our paths just haven't crossed. Public Information Research

I notice that you recently deleted Public Information Research (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) as a result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Public Information Research (2nd nomination). While many editors supported the deletion of this article, the comment by Squidfryerchef at the end of the discussion provided new evidence of this organization's notability, namely, that Public Information Research was the subject of an extensive article in Online magazine [10]. Since all editors supporting the deletion of this article did so before this citation was provided, it is highly probable that they did not consider it. Furthermore, I note that no additional comments favoring the deletion of this article were made after this additional evidence of notability was introduced. Therefore, I request that this discussion be reopened and relisted. Thank you. John254 03:09, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Deletion review for Public Information Research

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Public Information Research. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review..

I'll let you know now, this isn't a request for undeletion, but rather for a user draft. I figured it would be a good idea to have a formal discussion even for a draft, given the past PIR/DB situations. -- Ned Scott 04:33, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Closing AfDs the modern way...

Hey there. I've recently come back from a long wikibreak and want to help out in the traditional AfD backlog once more. What's the current hot script for automating the boring parts of it? I'm using the ancient AfD closure script but I suspect there may be some exciting new thing to make it even easier and faster - deary me, Wikipedia is scary these days (I discovered HG this week...). Any advice appreciated :)Sean Whitton / 10:41, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

This month you have indicated new or continuing interest in WP:CHICAGO as either an active or semi-active member. The response to the project membership survey was strong enough that we should attempt to organize it in a more fully functional way. Please sign up at Wikipedia:CHICAGO/leadership if you would be willing to serve as a leader of the project from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009. The various leadership responsibilities are listed there. The roles will be somewhat similar to the roles of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators. Arjun MBT detail

Jauerback, you still don't get it. I will explain it in simple terms. The issue started with the the report of Winter trials and a one sided edit trying to tarnish the image of Arjun MBT along with speculation that Army may or may not go for further tanks. It's left to the Army leadership, Political leadership to take a decision on whether further orders will be placed or not. All these speculations has nothing to do with the tank. The Arjun MBT is a tank that is a superior to the T-90. The procurement division of the Army is corrupt or short sighted. It has nothing to do with the tank. The Army's preference to the T-90 may not be because Arjun is a bad tank. It may be because they are accosted to soviet tank tactics and love the T-72's and may like a similar strategy with the T-90. The Arjun is based on the Western concept of war fighting, in which crew protection is given preference. That's the reason tanks like M1 Abrams, Leopard are heavier tanks due to heavy armour to protect the tank. This is the reason for less number of Abrams tank crew causalities (said to be nil) against Iraqi tanks in the Gulf war. Arjun can travel faster than the T-90. Even T-90 has a lot of issues after its induction which has not been sorted. The procurement division is still insisting on the T-90 without the problems in T-90 being sorted. Also they are not conducting the comparitive trials of the Arjun and T-90. Arjun tank started as a tank with many problems, there were engine problems, there were issues with accuracy of the gun, there were issues with the tank electronics not functioning at high desert temperature and above all there were changes in the requirement specification of the tank by the Army incorporating new requirement. Today the tank has sorted out all those problems and is performing better than the T-90. The latest trial was the summer trials in which no issues of the tank was reported, that means the tank is performing perfectly. It is reported that and admitted by the Indian Army in a report to parliament that the first hit capability or the gun accuracy of the Arjun MBT is far superior to that of T-90. This may be because it uses the rifled gun like the Challenger 2. Also the Armour protection of the tank is similar or better to that of western MBT's. So the tank as such is an excellent tank.

Regarding the article which I edited includes the issues happened during the Winter trials and the summer trials. I had even removed the perception that By78 had over the Arjun because of the Winter summer trial mixup. He had accepted this fact. Now I hope you understood the matter better than before. You can reply to my talk page or in Arjun MBT talk page or in Administrators noticeboard as you feel.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 05:18, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Why now

Why did you revert it now. By78 is not doing because something need to be clarified, but it's deliberate. All links with detailed explanation exists but still act like a dumb person. This is deliberate. And why did you admin revert this edit[11]. This is unacceptable. Do you have any source to claim the contrary whatever edits have been made with sources. If yes provide it or else please don't revert and support vandalism. If this is the case, I am going to remove anything I like from the pages in any article with just one link and then say I am not satisfied with any explanation and going in circle. This is stupid.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 13:48, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Jauerback, you are really ineligible to be an Admin. On what basis you issued the warning. How can you misunderstand such a basic thing. Did I say "He is dumb" or Did I say "he act like a dumb person". Seems pity that you cannot comprehend such a simple statement. What I want to convey was that He is real smart and is acting like a dumb person to make sure that his version stays. He can keep his version as long as this conversation keeps on going and you admins neglect the links and articles and reverts to his version. I want a revoke of that warning in my talk page and an apology from you.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 02:36, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

My reply.

"By78 is not doing because something need to be clarified, but it's deliberate. All links with detailed explanation exists but still act like a dumb person. This is deliberate. And why did you admin revert this edit". This is what I asked. The word dumb there never means he is dumb you read it wrongly by saying I had called him dumb. Read it again, I said he is acting like a dumb person. The meaning of it is he is really smart and wants his version to stay and he is deliberately doing it. Also I request you to look at his edits. It also has a racist angle. Now don't come to me and say you called him a racist. Better you check his edits. He is showing signs of dislike for a particular race, otherwise one will not try deliberately attempt to tarnish the image of one race. It's not part of ordinary edits because we don't find it with anyother countries. Like when I edit Wikipedia, my subject is military matters and I do contribute to all articles and don't pinpoint something and inject negative views only about a particular race or country in the articles. Arjun Article...

Hi there. I took action to remove some clear POV pushing by Chanakyathegreat for the Arjun article. I have opened a new section in the discussions to document what he has done. It is getting ridiculous. May I suggest we go back to the previous, and still standing, agreement that Chanakya submit his changes for peer review before incorporating them into the actual article. I seriously do not have the time to fix his mess. By78 (talk) 02:35, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

I think I'm done with him. Is there any point in allowing this charade to go on any further? I can respect a difference of opinion (including a hostile difference) but this is just poisoning the well. It's impossible for anyone to work with someone who just doesn't seem to care about anything other than what he wants. You know this stuff better than me, whatever you feel like I'll support. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 04:07, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
To be quite frank, I don't think there is much point in reasoning with him. We've had the same problem with Chanakya pushing his POV over at great power before. He quite clearly has a Megalomaniacal point of view, insisting on representing what he calls the "truth" or "reality". He would constantly revert to his "version" which he interpreted as the neutral one. All appeals for compromise have failed and the issue ended up dragging on for over 8 months. Short blocks have not seemed to work; perhaps more long-term intervention is necessary. Nirvana888 (talk) 04:32, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Unwanted reversals

I am totally disappointed with your intervention in each and every edits that I make. I think you have taken it personally. Can you provide the reasoning for reverting my edit partially. The reason that you gave is "Reverted to revision 242889320 by John; add your information if you wish, but don't delete whole paragraphs because you are simply "updating".". This is not the Wiki rule. Anything can be added and removed with sources. Here is the source[12]. What's the problem (if any) that you noticed in my edit and what argument and source you can put forth to validate your reversal?Chanakyathegreat (talk) 06:03, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

My reply.
Have you checked what is there in the link I provided and why I had removed certain sections. Your explanation is not enough. Those info on the page are outdated and hence I had replaced it with the latest info and a latest link. Now why did you revert to age old info which is incorrect. You did it with Arjun. That page is the most ugly pages today with lot of misinformation, contradiction etc. I had asked you guys to reply to the Summer 2006 section of Arjun. Still has not got any reply. When I change it after a long wait you guys will appear to block me as usual.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 13:37, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
So you are threatening me with a block for asking you to explain why you reverted without providing valid reason? Is this expected of a Wikipedia administrator? You have still not explained why you reverted it? Did you check the link and read it's content and what made you think that that edit is invalid and hence need to be reverted?Chanakyathegreat (talk) 14:22, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
So the threat was for editing the Arjun MBT article. It is a no go area for me right. O.K. But still you did not explain what's that you found inappropriate with the MCA edit and what wrong I did by removing certain points? Now about the Arjun, I have decided to go section by section to clear the sections of all contradictions and errors. I had asked for clarification in the Summer 2006 section of the Arjun page. Still not got any replies from Admins. And if I edit that sections, you guys will block me. Atleast answer to those questions asked by providing links and quoting from those linked article.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 14:38, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
From your reply, I can conclude that you did not read the content of the link provided. You did not check the content in the article and what I had removed. Both are synonymous. I had removed the outdated info and replaced it by providing a latest source. The earlier one was based on speculation and without links. So why did you revert then?Chanakyathegreat (talk) 14:57, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Chanakya, the earlier edit DID have sources, and as a matter of fact, THREE of them (two of which came from you, no less). Just to make sure we get this fact straight, here are the sources for the 2006 Trials section, as listed in the current version of the article: 1)http://www.hinduonnet.com/2007/05/13/stories/2007051301111000.htm 2)http://www.business-standard.com/india/storypage.php?autono=320574 and 3)http://www.indianexpress.com/news/arjun-main-battle-tanked/16589/1. 1) and 2) are provided by you, and 3) by me. So what is this monkey business of claiming that the edit had no sources? From your reply above, I must conclude that you must be malfunctioning. By78 (talk) 15:43, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
My reply.
Ooops. Thanks for pointing that out. Today is not a reading day for me. To Chanakya, I apologize for my above remarks. By78 (talk) 19:41, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Loma Linda University

Thanks for your recent work on the Loma Linda University article. Hopefully now we can get some of that silliness behind us and move forward to expand the article. Brianweedster (talk) 05:59, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks

  The RfA Barnstar
Jauerback/Archives, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. If you need my help at all, feel free to simply ask at my talk page and I'll see if I can help. Once again, thank you for your participation, and have a great day! :) The Helpful One 22:16, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
