Madonna project

edit

Hey there jwad how r u! hey listen i noticed that you have uploaded several "alternative covers" for some of madonna's singles, i went and did some research and noticed that many of them have many different "alternative covers" depending on the country or place released, i wanted to ask you if we should upload those too or not?? also i wanted to ask your opinion regarding a madonna album tracklist template for each of her albums to be use don the articles of the singes of each album. i noticed a previous user did create templates like that but they were deleted as the user who deleted them said the songs/singles infobox was enough. but i've noticed that othr artists such as rihanna have an album tracklist template for the singles AND a song templates. therefore i believe a template of songs for each of the singles of madonna should be used. what you think??--heart ♥ (talk) 19:22, 5 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello

edit

Oh I'm doin just fine! thanx for asking, so yeah cause i've found several different covers and therefore that's my doubt, but yeah i guess you're right, only the relevant ones. Hey BTW think You could help me work on mi girlie show expand It's missing a few details such as the boxscore information, I can't seem to find it i would appreciate if you could help me--heart ♥ (talk) 17:10, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Another thing, what about in cases where there are 2 more different covers (EG: a japanese 12" and a UK 12")??--heart ♥ (talk) 17:25, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Oh but the virgin tour and who's that girl tour have boxscore info and they go further back than girlie show.--heart ♥ (talk) 17:26, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Second cover

edit

Hey man, please stop adding the second cover to Madonna's music article. Second cover is acceptable only if it has significant coverage in the article. For example MDNA article, its second cover is allowed because it has a section 'Titling and artwork', which describe the notability of the second cover. Please understand WP:NFCC before uploading non-free picture to Wikipedia. Regards :) Bluesatellite (talk) 05:08, 9 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Black Jesus + Amen Fashion

edit

Hello Jwad. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Black Jesus + Amen Fashion, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: WP:CSD#A9 applies only where the artist has no article, but Lady Gaga has one. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 21:02, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Celebration

edit

Please stop uploading the deluxe edition artwork; standard practice is to use the standard edition cover. It does not matter that the deluxe edition is "more common" because today most deluxe albums sell more than standards, yet we use the standard edition covers. Your reversion in combination with not providing a reason for making an exception is verging on disruptive. –Chase (talk / contribs) 00:24, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's standard policy for all albums, not just studio albums. And the infobox doc states "An image of the official front cover of the original version of the album". We're not supposed to use the deluxe cover to push the label's agenda, we're supposed to use the standard image which is the standard edition cover. –Chase (talk / contribs) 18:14, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

The First Album

edit

Hey, Jwad. Can you upload the cover for The First Album again? I'm currently working on its artwork section, so we have rationale to include the second cover. Bluesatellite (talk) 12:23, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

MDNA Tour Setlist

edit

Hey Jwad! Listen, I know the tourbook says the name of the opening is "Gregorian Chants/Virgin Mary" and I agree with you 100% because I have the tourbook. However, a member of Kalakan wrote me on my talk page and said that the chants aren't gregorian and that its an error by the musical director. So I'm not sure. But I'm not going to edit it anymore. But look on my talk page and look what he wrote me! SO CONFUSED!

License tagging for File:I Am Because We Are poster.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:I Am Because We Are poster.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Truth or Dare by Madonna poster.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Truth or Dare by Madonna poster.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. —IB [ Poke ] 19:44, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Whos that girl- movie.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Whos that girl- movie.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:51, 24 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your signature and linter errors

edit

Just a reminder that your signature contains obsolete font tags. They create Linter errors, and it is advised that you change your signature to [[User:Jwad|<b><span style="color:#FF0000">j</span><span style="color:#FF5500">w</span><span style="color:#FF8000">a</span><span style="color:#FFC000">d....</span></b>]] [[User talk:Jwad|blah | blah | blah]] ASAP.

The purpose of this message is because Linter errors affect the way the page looks, and with a lot of errors, the page may render badly. To reduce Linter errors, please change your signature. See WP:SIGFONT for more info.

If the software doesn't accept my replacement signature, let me know, and I may give you another replacement signature to use. Otherwise, you may have to change it to something else. Sheep (talkhe/him) 13:23, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kylie Minogue

edit

The recent Kylie albums are released by BMG Rights Management, with a star and letter K hybrid logo/trademark appears on physical release (as for example which is actually has registrated by "KDB Pty Ltd."), same with the most of Parlophone release. Plus "Darenote" is a copyright holder and not a record label (which has under licensed to BMG on the recent albums). Thank you in advance for your help and consideration. 2001:D08:2920:42BF:69AE:ABF8:76C:BAF8 (talk) 03:33, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

KDB Pty Limited is not a label and is registered as "Accounting, Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Services, Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, Accounting, auditing, and bookkeeping" - this is a business and not a label, Darenote Ltd is registered as "Other amusement and recreation activities not elsewhere classified", so again would not be classed as a record label. Her label for recent releases is BMG Rights Management. We had a similar thing with Madonna's last releases from Interscope Records, users were putting Boy Toy Inc. as a label and is a business, also her Maverick Management logo appears on the last set and again is not a label. jwad.... blah | blah | blah

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:"Andromeda" by Tamara de Lempicka.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:"Andromeda" by Tamara de Lempicka.jpg.

Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
