Participation at my RfA

Thank you for taking the time to weigh in on my RfA. It was successful, in that the community's wish not to grant me the tools at this time was honored. I'm taking all the comments as constructive feedback and hope to become more valuable to the project as a result; I've also discovered several new areas in which to work. Because debating the merits of a candidate can be taxing on the heart and brain, I offer this kitten as a low-allergen, low-stress token of my appreciation. --otherlleft 12:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject Missouri Participation

Thank you for your message concerning my participation in WikiProject Missouri, I was an active participant in the WikiProject before technical problems with my computer hindered my access to the Internet, and by extension my access to Wikipedia. Having resolved those problems, I intend to resume my active participation in WikiProject Missouri. --TommyBoy (talk) 01:34, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello Fetchcomms, I also got your message. My main projects are the Columbia, MO and Mizzou projects, but I still consider myself active with this project. Thanks, HornColumbia (talk) 02:40, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Greetings Fetchcomms , I too got your message. I am currently focused on Missouri public transportation. Look at my STL Sandbox at my Userpage. (Jordan S. Wilson (talk) 19:31, 9 February 2010 (UTC))

I also wanted to type to you that I created a new stub.(Jordan S. Wilson (talk) 15:42, 10 February 2010 (UTC))
Well we just have to make the Missouri WikiProjects more active. I seen you have a Flickr account. This will not be the last time that I get to help out on the page. By the way, children WikiProjects of Missouri have not seen some activity. Is there anything that I can do to contribute to the project!? (Jordan S. Wilson (talk) 17:27, 10 February 2010 (UTC))

More help please

for Anagrams, Anagram#History_of_anagrams, I added to the section on history. My ref is #2. After I saved, I noticed that someone else used the same reference in another place in the article (#5). Is it OK that it is listed twice. Also my reference detail is different than #5, but they are obviously the same book. Thank you. Senor Reparar (talk) 03:22, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your RfA Participation

Fetchcomms/Archive 4 - Thanks for your participation in my recent successful RfA. Even though your position was neutral, your comments were constructive and welcome. As the community has expressed its trust and confidence in me, and as you are an equal part of that community, deFacto your confidence and trust in me is much appreciated. This may surprise you....

But this user which we are discussing is doing the DYK thing et al. because he wants to be an admin, a common goal among the young vandal fighters. The easiest way to gain "writing experience" for an admin run is to go the DYK route. But he has a severe inability to take criticism. In his editor review he caused so much disruption as to bring about an AN/I report. That's how I took notice of him. Auntie E. (talk) 01:21, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

I have to say that your response time is very impressive, and don't think keep it up is adequete. But you are good. I am eager to start a wiki page for the organisation i work for, and in my enthusiasm i had rushingly read the instructions and guidelines and thought i would 'get away' with an empty title page then work on the content later.Thank you once again. WikiCup 2010 February newsletter

Round one is over, and round two has begun! Congratulations to the 64 contestants who have made it through, but well done and thank you to all contestants who took part in our first round. A special well done goes to Hungary Sasata (submissions), our round one winner (1010 points), and to Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions) and New Orleans TonyTheTiger (submissions), who were second and third respectively (640 points/605 points). Sasata was awarded the most points for both good articles (300 points) and featured articles (600 points), and TonyTheTiger was awarded the most for featured topics (225 points), while Hunter Kahn claimed the most for good topics (70). Connecticut Staxringold (submissions) claimed the most featured lists (240 points) and featured pictures (35 points), Geschichte (submissions) claimed the most for Did you know? entries (490 points), Jujutacular (submissions) claimed the most for featured sounds (70 points) and Republic of Ireland Candlewicke (submissions) claimed the most for In the news entries (40 points). No one claimed a featured portal or valued picture.

Credits awarded after the end of round one but before round two may be claimed in round two, but remember the rule that content must have been worked on in some significant way during 2010 by you for you to claim points. The groups for round two will be placed up shortly, and the submissions' pages will be blanked. This round will continue until 28 April, when the top two users from each group, as well as 16 wildcards, will progress to round three. Please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup; thank you to all doing this last round, and particularly to those helping at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, by email or on IRC. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
