Even better: Someone with SVG skills might want to make an English version of File:Europa Island simplified land cover map-fr.svg (Hohum @) 20:03, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
I could do this, though it would have to wait for a few days. (I did the translation for the similar File:Ile de Clipperton (carte-en).svg .)
I've a question about translation. "La Possession" is a placename, and should be left in French. "Cimetière de tortues" is a description of a natural feature, and should be translated, maybe as "Turtle graveyard". How should e.g. "Pointe sud" be handled? Maproom (talk) 07:37, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

Request

Regulation of electronic cigarettes
Request
On the 28th April 2018, Switzerland lost in a court case against it's businesses and nicotine-containing liquids were henceforth legalised for sale within the country. Since Switzerland isn't within the EU, they are not subject by default, to the EU's TPD restrictions set out in 2004. In addition, the UK's colour is also outdated, as now they have limitations on the max nicotine content, bottle capacity and tank capacity of e-cigarette hardware. As such, Switzerland should now be dark green on the map, and the UK should be light green. Relevant sources can be seen on the article itself. In addition, other EU countries should probably also be revised regarding the TPD directives. Grez868 (talk) 23:08, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Question on making map from excel spreadsheet

Hi, I have some data in an excel spreadsheet for various towns in Mexico that I want to use for creating maps. What i want to do is to create maps different maps that show the data (e.g. as a colored dot) from one of the columns in the spreadsheet. Now my question is how I get the coordinates that transfer the data on to the map file, and what software I need to use. I have the map file both as svg and png. I also have geographical coordinates for each of the towns. I have seen some articles where table data is mapped onto map images in different articles. Can anyone help me with this?·maunus · snunɐɯ· 11:23, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Australian legislation-implementation map

Custody Notification Scheme
Request
It would be good to have a map of Australia showing which Australian states and territories have implemented a Custody Notification Scheme, ideally including the names of the states and territories. Sources included in the article; only NSW and ACT have implemented it. The article currently contains a generic map. HLHJ (talk) 03:44, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Operation Bustard Hunt

Article(s)
Battle of the Kerch Peninsula
Request
I would like a detailed English map of Operation Bustard Hunt, a sub-operation of this World War II battle, as existing PD English maps do not show positions of Soviet divisions, and our readers cannot be expected to read Russian maps. If a graphist accepts this request I will provide reliably sourced Russian maps and translations for words on them. The base of the map will have to be created from OpenStreetMaps, however, for copyright reasons. -- Kges1901 (talk) 11:14, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
