All Saints' Church, Southampton edit

Thanks for an excellent article. I had always planned to create an article about All Saints, but never got round to it before throwing my rattle out of the pram. Well done. 92.26.165.31 (talk) 16:02, 12 November 2015 (UTC) (formerly Daemonic Kangaroo) @92.26.165.31: Thank you, and thanks for your additions too. CVS Business Rates edit

Hi Waggers, I have been dealing with Xanthomelanoussprog over the past few weeks to improve this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Commercial_Valuers_and_Surveyors following your decision to decline it. Today he has said the following:

Hi, sorry for the tardy reply. As far as I remember, the article was declined on the grounds that CVS wasn't notable. Now I think they are notable- their business is based on a defective UK business rating system and they appear to be the most prominent of the firms working in this area. You could submit the article- if it gets declined I'll have a go at adding to it to try and make the case for notability. I'm a bit busy with RL at the moment (it reduces my "thinking capacity"!).Xanthomelanoussprog (talk) 12:03, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Are you happy for me to resubmit the article? Sirdreamer (talk) 15:24, 18 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Sirdreamer: I don't recall having any involvement in this page, and looking at the history of both the draft and the previously deleted article I don't see any activity relating to me. The article itself seems fairly well written and referenced but I'm unconvinced it satisfies WP:GNG. WaggersTALK 13:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. That last IP block edit

I was just in the middle of removing that AIV report when you blocked that editor[1]. He found a source to what he was adding, and was his revision was allowed to be maintained. Is it possible for you to unblock? Boomer VialHolla 15:24, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I support that. The IP did eventually provide a reference. Edit warring, maybe, but not BLP.  —SMALLJIM  15:28, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Boomer Vial and Smalljim: Thanks both, I've amended the block log and commented on the IP's talk page to show the block is in fact for a 3RR violation. WaggersTALK 08:57, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

An anonymous editor you blocked a few days ago appears to be up to its old tricks again. Could you please step in and impose a longer (read: permanent) block this time? – PeeJay 14:35, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
