Mullaitivu Hospital

I was happy I could find more info. I have been rating a number of unrated articles against WikiProject Hospitals criteria and for some could find absolutely nothing. This search turned out well. Bill Pollard (talk) 21:20, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Religion in Sri Lanka

Please provide chronicles or other proves on the changes done on article "Religions in Sri Lanka". according to chronicles from the island, the Dipavansa and the Mahavansa following is not true."Hinduism was the major religion practiced on the island prior to the introduction of Buddhism" please refer "History of Sri Lanka" wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Sri_Lanka but don't try to edit "History of Sri Lanka" page with fake information.--Lankeshwara (talk) 11:53, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Obi, as a volunteer over at DRN I have closed a case request from Lankeshwara due to inadequate talk page discussion (as required by DRN), but I would respectfully request that before reverting the information back in again that you either discuss the matter with Lankeshwara or, at the very least, provide an inline reliable source for the information since restoring it without one violates BURDEN. I have no idea whatsoever whether the information is right or wrong and have no dog in this hunt, but I would ask you to uphold wikiprinciples and seek wikipeace. 2014 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka

Hi Obi2canibe, I think you have made mistake by removing weapons and target, I'm Sri Lankan local volunteer for the Muslim Community since i have heard from my local resident (in Beruwala) and asked for what kind of weapons did the extremist used they said it was petrol bomb which is a Molotov cocktail, I believe there were no reference made at the time of identifying the weapons and the guns were used as well which believed to be M1911 pistol, The local government also mentioned not to identify the weapons which prevented the media from doing it.

Regarding the Target it's correct, Since the main target is the Muslim Civilian you already have mentioned in the Background and History I request you to revert the change back. --PrinceSulaiman (talk) 16:06, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

@PrinceSulaiman: I don't doubt what you're saying, I'm sure you're 100% correct. However, we can't simply add things to articles and say we know them to be true, we have to provide reliable sources to back them up. I see you have re-inserted the content, I strongly recommend you find reliable sources otherwise anyone can remove them and if a dispute arose it would be you who is in the wrong. Reliable sources are mainstream news media and books, not blogs or forums.--obi2canibetalk contr 17:42, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
@Obi2canibe:Like i said, the mainstream media is prohibited from identifying the weapons which was told by the Sri Lankan Government, But we're the local resident and witnesses too, If you don't believe what i say, you can go ahead and remove it if you want. I have source regarding the blackout on the riot you can check it here. If you were into this investigation you'll able to find everything since you're not local neither a witness so there is nothing else to prove it.
Do i need to add reliable source for the target? There are source already mentioned in that article, I simply can't duplicate them since this will easily violate the Wikipedia's guidelines. PrinceSulaiman (talk) 17:57, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
@PrinceSulaiman: I have said I believe you but we need to follow Wikipedia content policy. Although the SL media may have been silent about the riot there are plenty of reliable international sources which have covered them. If you spend time I'm sure you'll find RS for your additions.--obi2canibetalk contr 18:49, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

'Our Campaigns'

Just wondering why you think that "Los Angeles Mayor". Our Campaigns is a WP:Reliable source??? It seems like a Wiki to me. Where does it get its information? Thanks. GeorgeLouis (talk) 13:51, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing this out. The main reason I used them was that they have been used extensively (2,000+) in US election articles. However, having looked into it, you're correct that they are a Wiki. WP:RSN has already discussed Our Campaigns.
I note that Our Campaigns provides sources itself which look like RS (newspapers, city council etc). I will replace the Our Campaigns citations with these RS when I have some free time.--obi2canibetalk contr 18:50, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
I applaud the LOOK of the pages regarding Los Angeles municipal elections, but I have done extensive research into most of them, and I must tell you it is darned hard to find reliable SECONDARY sources that give accurate totals. See List_of_Los_Angeles_municipal_election_returns for the extant page. As for previous discussion of Our Campaigns, I have found only one, at Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_162#Our_Campaigns, and the discussion there simply died out. It seems that "Our Campaigns" will accept any kind of figure and not give the source therefor. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 13:31, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
Anyway, I proposed a WP:Blacklist here. GeorgeLouis (talk) 13:50, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

The rest of your comment is gibberish, reminiscent of someone else...who's pulling your strings? --Who are you to exert firm control over editors?

You seem to be a smart ass having someone else pulling your strings?.

Consensus is not needed to follow status quo. --DonCasT2talk — Preceding undated comment added 01:25, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Chamith (talk) 12:57, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Huh?--obi2canibetalk contr 14:36, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Hey I'm sorry about that "Welcome to wikipedia part". This is an auto-generated level 1 message, So the script automatically assumes that the user is new to Wikipedia. What I wanted to say is I saw that you did a great job by reverting unnecessary, unreferenced and encyclopedic content. But some of edits that you have reverted are done in good faith. But you never mentioned anything about good faiths in you edit summary. As per WP:AGF assuming good faith is fundamental. All you have to do is, mention something like ''Reverting good faith edits by 'USERNAME'" (if that edit is done in good faith) in your edit summary. Cheers!--Chamith (talk)
I saw that you reverted my last edit and mentioned that it was a good faith. Thank you for understanding. BTW I didn't know about that the statement about LTTE being longer classified as a terrorist organization in the EU was incorrect. Some media are really retarded--Chamith (talk) 14:54, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi ChamithN, I always assume goof faith but Wikpedia doesn't allow me show that. The only way to automatically get "Reverted good faith edits by X" in the edit summary is to use Twinkle's "Rollback" function. But this reverts all the editor's consecutive edits. But if you only want to revert one/some of the editor's edit, like I did with your edits on Royal College, Colombo, you have to use the "Undo" function which doesn't give you the option of marking your revert as a revert of a goof faith edit!--obi2canibetalk contr 15:16, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
