Usage of Fair Image

I saw your reverted edit in Srilankan Tamils Article. Is there any rule state that Fair use Image shouldn't be placed in Info Boxes? If means point out me. Otherwise Please revert your edit Again.--Tenkasi Subramanian (talk) 10:41, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

The use of fair use images is severely restricted (see WP:FAIRUSE). Generally it is only allowed where there are no free images available and it is needed to illustrate the subject. This is not the case in the Tamil/Sri Lankan Tamil articles. There are plenty of free images of Tamils/Sri Lankan Tamils so you will find it difficult to justify using non-free images. WP:NFG states that "The use of non-free images arranged in a gallery or tabular format is usually unacceptable" - this is a similar scenario.--obi2canibe^{talk contr} 12:45, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

Images removal at Mano Ganesan's Page

• Rather than removing the images completely from Mano Ganesan's page why can't we introduce a gallery section? We can't expect everyone visits a page, will visit the Wikimedia Commons's Images. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, it is not an image repository. Please have a look at WP:NOTREPOSITORY and WP:Gallery. Don't be discouraged - the images you have added are very valuable but the appropriate place for them is Commons.--obi2canibe^{talk contr} 14:35, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, it is not an image repository. Any image included in an article must support the encyclopaedic content. The image in connection doesn't show students undergoing compulsory leadership training, it just shows them posing for a photograph. It looks very much like that the uploader of the image is trying to shoehorn the image onto a high traffic article.
