Please look at IvanOS contributions

After two-times he was blocked because of his activities he again continued with previous activities. After his blockade expired he again deleted my contributions. I then wrote him this message ([1]). Then he stop, but today he again took the opportunity to delete my contributions while deleting some of my other changes as "unnecessary" for articles. Thus, while deleting my new contributions, he again in some articles without explanation deleted my referenced names in minority languages (some examples: Mikluševci, Vera, Banovci, Vinkovački Banovci, Pačetin, Bršadin, Bobota, Trpinja...). I know that IvanOS and Sokac will say that it is all just dispute over content and that I'm trying to besmirch the reputation of IvanOS, but I think that this violence against my work is not acceptable for Wikipedia community, I think we have to respect work of others and operate transparently, not disguised. Deletion of flags from infoboxes is content dispute and I do not question that part. But while deleting this part he took the opportunity to again without explanation delete also sourced minority names. This he firstly done after his second blockade expired and than I warned him. Now he obviously thought that this action will not be noticed if he done it as a part of something else. Again, I do not make question on all of his yesterday's changes, I'm talking just about covert and unexplained deletion of referenced content on some of those pages. An oddity in the Ohio NRHP lists

The Hocking Valley Railway Historic District is listed in both Athens and Hocking Counties, but its two entries in the county listings point to different articles, neither of which is actually about the historic district. The Athens County list links to Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, which mentions the historic district but doesn't have an infobox or categories, while the Hocking County list links to Hocking Valley Railway, which doesn't even mention the historic district. I figure that either the district needs its own article or Hocking Valley Scenic Railway needs a bit of a rewrite, but I'm not sure what would be best, and you know Ohio better than I do. Well, this user is after articles related to Televisa's telenovelas (current, old, or upcoming) and its actors/actresses. That, and some odd sports articles that I don't even know about. Hi Nyttend, I started the Altaic Languages thread in the admin forum. You locked the Altaic article in the wrong state -- the biased old version. My last attempted-neutral version is "04:47, 6 April 2013‎ AltaicNPOV". The admin thread has been capriciously locked, with absolutely nothing resolved. My attempts to post again to constructively point this out are being deleted, and my accounts banned. Utterly Kafkaeque situation. Can you switch the article versions, and possibly ban the problem editors? Is there a long-term "controversial article" watchlist it can go on? Ymblanter has referred the article to the "Fringe Theories" forum (where nothing is happening), but "Macro-Altaic" isn't fringe, just not widely accepted. And there are at least 3 others on the article the same. This is why I tried to go to the admins. I think a judgement on what is "mainstream" theory, and what is less accepted needs to be decided at that level, and imposed as a requirement on the article. Just the general guidance that it needs to accord with X, Y, and Z known sources (e.g. Ethnologue), for the order of prominence for the different theories presented in the WIkipedia article. Nyttend, why are you not available to do any admin functions on an article that you know is defective and controlled by trolls? I'm not discussing any particular article, just the abstract question of what admins are supposed to do as their job (other than randomly blocking helpful editors), and where I find one to come deal with a problem article. The Admin Noticeboard seemed to be that place, until someone cut off the discussion mid-sentence... with absolutely no help given, and the situation was back not to square one, but square minus-one with the article locked, the trolls celebrating their victory, and the public continuing to read an article that about 10 different admins know is a falsehood. Helena Historic District (Montana)

Tempering

Saw the thing at Turpin site earlier. I was wondering what you thought of this. What if we add a definition to Glossary of pottery terms and redirected Tempering (ceramics) to it. I've never really been happy with using Tempering (metallurgy), but as you noted it is the closest we have at present. If anyone ever wanted to write the article on tempering for pottery, they could always expand the redirect. Thoughts? Heiro 22:11, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Regarding your edit to Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska

I tagged the list of communities in that article as incomplete, as there were a slew of new CDPs in the 2010 Census, which few editors have gotten around to acknowledging the existence of. An editor responded to that by inserting data from the 1960 and 1970 Censuses, which I had already found and read over. I don't have access to that information right now; where I'm at, it's on microfilm and not on paper, so it would take me far too long to search. However, I have gone over Alaska population count data for every census (dating back to 1880), so I can address your point. I don't know if this is the same with other states, but the term "census-designated place" only appears starting with the 1980 Census. In 1960 and 1970, the term "unincorporated community" refers to much the same thing. Prior to that, the term "village" was used. I get the impression that these are functional equivalents, except that pre-CDP designations appear to apply more to strictly unincorporated urban areas than do the present CDPs.

Going through all this information reveals a greater problem. My read of past village pump discussions leads me to believe that most, if not all, of the community articles were mass-created by a bot based upon one particular census (2000, to be exact). Far too many of these articles, particularly articles on CDPs adjacent to cities which are often confused with that city, are little more than a dumping ground for census data, with little or any willingness on the part of editors to properly shepherd them. Once again, unless I'm not paying enough attention to what's being done with other states, this means that there are a number of CDPs recognized in the 1980, 1990 and 2010 Censuses which we are effectively treating as non-notable by not identifying them and creating articles for them. Sounds like bullshit to me.

Back to Fairbanks for a minute, a number of the communities listed are independently notable, even if no one has gotten around to creating articles for them. Graehl was historically a separate town from Fairbanks. That distinction began to be blurred starting in the 1930s, when construction of slough bridges began and the ferry across the Chena River was discontinued. Later, it was more or less completely eradicated when the southern terminus of the Steese Highway was realigned, bisecting the neighborhood and providing a direct link to downtown Fairbanks via newly-constructed bridges across the Chena. This happened twice, in 1953 (the present-day Old Steese Highway) and 1976 (the present-day Steese Expressway). Lemeta-Johnston may also be independently notable, though a lot of its notability has to do with one of the developers of Lemeta, Warren A. Taylor (the name "Lemeta" was taken from letters of the last names of the developers: Gradelle Leigh, George "Bud" Meyeres and Taylor). Most of Lemeta-Johnston's claim to notability lies in its rejection of annexation into Fairbanks in 1969. Obviously, they were later annexed. I know the answer to this question. It's because the NRHP database lists last names first. So, it's listed in their database as "Feller, Robert William Andrew, Farmstead". You can get around that issue by using "last name%first name%house" in the infobox form. Or, you can go to the query by county form and provide the county name "Dallas" and the state "IA". I saw you edit here where you admit that it is not a simply attack page and it has more to it than is currently being recognized. Would you mind putting your comment on the record here?
I know the issues of cold-feet regarding Islamic articles in Wikipedia are not rare, I know some people who just try to shun Islamic topics in apprehension of being called a religious bigot or Islamophobe. Some just don't like getting involved for personal reasons. Hence, if you don't want to get involved, I would surely understand. Bot Error

You left a link to an edit that had an error a while back, I've been swamped at school this semester and will continue to be till early May when I graduate so I don't have time to do a full autopsy of what went wrong right now, but will investigate further when I have time. Sorry about that, I assumed you remembered from the other day, and realize now you may not have been following that closely. Take a look at the IP user talk page at User_talk:141.136.222.153 and you'll note that you blocked them, followed by DVdm posting below your block a few minutes later indicating this IP hopper from the 141.13* range (from Slovenia) keeps returning and getting blocked. The edit they made on the Munich massacre article is the same one they made the other day, and they again exceeded the 1RR restriction. Make sense now? Sorry I was so cursory in my prior posting. That editor certainly has perspective issues. Good to keep your sense of humor in considering the irony.  :) For the long term, it's clear they are a problem because they keep IP hopping and returning. It's frustrating for editors trying to clean up the situation because while the edits are clearly problematic, they aren't prima facie vandalism or BLP violations, and since that particular article has a 1RR restriction, regular editors stop at one repair while the IP will keep going with reverts and hop IPs again shortly. What's the solution? Range block? Semi-protection? Not sure, etc. AzureCitizen (talk) 21:35, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

That'll help. Interestingly, the IP repeatedly hit the Vaginismus article with a comment on feminism, right up till April 5th, when Joe Decker took action and protected the page for ~10 days, expiring April 16th. Sure enough, on April 16th (today), the IP shows back up again to do the same thing. Something tells me that as long as he can keep jumping IPs, he'll keep up at this, and if he happens to jump to new articles that have no connection to the ones he has attacked previously, it's difficult to detect him. Prior pages edited include Nazi hunter, Simon Wiesenthal, FEMEN, Marc Lepine, Gloria Steinem, and Feminazi. There's probably no way to range block him because the range of IPs is too great. Today, he's jumped to an entirely new set of subnet ranges, hitting the Vaginismus article as well as doing some creative vandalism on the Longest Words article (Special:Contributions/89.164.224.118). Clearly, the editor is a troll, and sees vandalism as a form of entertainment. I don't want to keep bothering you with this guy, as I expect this is just going to go on day after day after day. Just a note to say that I did think awhile about posting something on ANI, asking if there was a way to design a filter to handle it, but after reviewing the edits I concluded there aren't any really distinct patterns in the edits that would either make a filter meaningful, or avoid the problem of the vandal adapting tactics. Meanwhile, the editor hasn't re-emerged in the last 48 hours and seems to be giving it a break. I think maybe for now I'll just let it rest, and see if it becomes a problem again later. Good observations about FAR western KY. I am going on another great trek in the end of May in McDowell County WV. I get my hiking clothes, and start driving. I usually stop at any static yellowed grass paths proceeding in a perfect line. Thats creasote, killing grass buried underneath bad reclamation and thats where I find places. They are at times, just stair cases in the woods. Other times, I get lucky and there is an actual passable road. ALWAYS have my cameras. Just curious as to why you made this a disambiguation page. The titles of the two works are not the same, and there are only two pages involved in any case (and unlikely to be more). There's no need to discern a primary topic. Disambiguation is about ensuring pages have unique names. These two pages already have unique names, thus there is no need for further disambiguation. Additionally, I question whether anyone refers to the film as just "Private Idaho" -- in my experience, it's much more often the other way around, with people calling the song "Your Own Private Idaho" (since the film title itself isn't mentioned in the lyrics, and indeed why the film was titled as it is rather than the shorter version). -Dewelar (talk) 15:00, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Nyttend, I fixed the Monroe County WV template last night as we had an editor forget }} within the template nad BAM, ALL of Monroe county and its locations had no template. County government in the United States

Hi. I seem to have gotten myself into an edit war at Category:County government in the United States. There's just two of us there right now. I'd appreciate some additional eyes there, and specifically input on the topic of whether U.S. counties are (1) a level of local government or (2) an arm of state government. I think this is an area that you know about. Greetings, I am the other side of the edit war. It seems that Orlady fully intends to carry on 50 discussions of the matter, as he or she has posted this on about a dozen state government article talk pages so far!! Perhaps we would be better advised to take it to WikiProject United States, and WikiProject Politics and be done with it. If you are interested...My claim is that although county officials may be elected or appointed locally (i.e. not statewide), the actual county government itself is an arm of the state government. This is consistent with the powers they exercise (elections, law enforcement, etc.). If we could have some academically informed input, I would appreciate it, because the general impression and intuition that people have is that county government is "local government," but to those who actually study political science formally, the difference is known. The compromise that I propose is the persons should be categorized under "local politicians" while the offices should be categorized under "state government." Nebraska: TRS coords

Just checked up on your addition of coords to the McCue-Trausch Farmstead in Adams County, Nebraska. The ones you had were in error: Google's satellite photo showed a roof configuration that was clearly different than the one in the Commons photos, which match the photo at the Adams County Historical Society site. I'd forgotten just where the place was, but checked the TRS1/4 given at the ACHS page, found the right place with the right roof, and corrected the coords.

Not sure how you found your coords, but a good place to look is the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources's Interactive Map. From this page, click on the link for "Nebraska Interactive Map". It's a GSI thing, so you'll have to check "Township-Range" and "Sections" to see those numbers. Once you've zoomed in, clicking the "Imagery" box gives the aerial photo.

I see that you've apparently been going through archaeological journals and trying to locate AR sites in Nebraska. If you find detailed information that'd help me find and photograph a site, could you let me know? Thanks. Ammodramus (talk) 02:05, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Will check up on some of the references you've sent me when I get back to Kearney; right now, I'm working the Panhandle. I've managed to photograph a few sites, and hope to get more today.

For what it's worth, I found the location of the Pike-Pawnee Village Site in Webster County some time ago. However, I decided against publishing it. Unlike most of the archaeological sites in the state, which'd yield chiefly charred corncobs and discolored dirt, the Pike site produced some grave goods that'd almost certainly be of interest to relic-hunters, e.g. peace medals and early-19th-century Army buttons; and it's far enough from human habitation to allow a bit of wildcat metal-detecting. I see that some of the articles to which you've referred me pertain to that site; if you should discover its location in the course of its research, could I urge you to consider the possible consequences of publishing it? Hmm... I hadn't realized that Asher duplicated Hill's map so clearly, with the TRS1/4 location. The same map appears in the nom form, but the copy quality there isn't good enough to read them. I got the location from the reproduction of Hill's map in the 1927 special issue of Nebraska History, which is where I thought you might find it.

I hadn't known about mapper.acme.com; that's a resource that's going in my collection of links on my userpage. In fact, I'm going to use it to check out one of the sites that I hope to photograph this morning. Thanks for letting me know about it. Note, however, that when I type "pike-pawnee village" in their search box, it gives me an exact location—for the Pawnee Indian Museum State Historic Site in Republic County, Kansas. Is that the one you're finding, or did you do a different sort of search? I don't see anything like the village marked on the topo map for Webster County.

Oh, my. Just checked out the site I want to investigate this morning: Beaver Wall and Sheridan Gates, located north of Hay Springs, Nebraska; the former is "in the middle of the Spotted Tail Agency and old Camp Sheridan". The topo map informs me that on the way there, I'm going to pass Squaw Tit Butte. My dispute with Iadrian_yu

I apologize for not providing diffs and I will do it now accordingly. I did not provide it and you misunderstood that this situation is about Romanian-Magyar issues. That is my mistake. It is actually about Romanian-Vlach issues.

Articles:

• Vlachs of Serbia

Some of his edits:

[12] He doesn't list reference where the Vlachs identify themselves as "Romanians of Serbia."

[13] He intentionally writes that “Vlachs from Serbia” means in fact "Romanians from Serbia”

[14] He added inactive reference.

[15] He did it again.

[16] He removed Serbian language, although it’s official language in Serbia and the Vlachs are bilingual. Serbian is, also, the official language of the Vlach national Council according to their statute.

Less important, but not unimportant, he stated that Serbian language is not related to this ethnic group, which is not true, because they have a lot Slavic/Serbian words in their vocabulary, as well as Romanians have strong influence of Slavic languages (lexis, phonetics, morphology and syntax) on Romanian (from Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian…). However, I presume that since you noticed his activities that concern his Romanian-Magyar topics, that also proves that Iadrian has a tendency to be involved in the issues that concern the Romanian ethnic issues and language. (SPA) But, the core of the problem is the thing that you very well acknowledged in the end – he intentionally (TEND) represents the Vlachs as Romanians and Vlach language as Romanian. (HOAX) The Vlachs do not consider themselves Romanians and they do not call their language Romanian. (he is not respecting the (NPOV)) Vlachs in Serbia are recognized as an ethnic community. The Vlach National Council represents the Vlachs in Serbia, while the Romanians are being represented by the Romanian National Council. These two seperate peoples have partially a common origin and their languages belong in a group of the Eastern Romance languages (Vlach languages). Romanian nationalists and the Romanian propaganda continuosly tries to adopt all Eastern Romance (or Vlach) peoples and represent them as an integral part of the Romanian nation. Although, those peoples are acknowledged/recognized as a seperate peoples in different Balkan states.

For my references I have pointed out the statements of the Vlach National Council which represents the only official assembly/organization of the Vlach people of Serbia. While, the user Adrian pretentiously uses nationalist references and propaganda materials of the pro-Romanian NGOs, political parties and of the political entities in Romania which do not represent the Vlach people in whole in their respective states. Excuse me for my long elaboration, but I tried to maintain focus on an objective side of this problem.

In the end - the point is what you said: Iadrian is intentionally calling a group of people something that they're not, that's a main problem. (violation of (hoaxing policy))

New York villages within towns

Greetings. I have noticed that lately you have been making a number of WP:TWODABS pages for villages in New York located within towns of the same name. You should be aware that, per Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links/New York villages within towns, the community has come to the consensus that where only two possibilities exist, and one is a geographic unit encompassing the other, then the encompassing unit shall be treated as the primary topic for the term, unless the encompassed unit is demonstrably more notable, in which case the encompassed unit shall be the primary topic. The reason for this is to avoid a situation where large numbers of links point to a disambiguation page for which the encompassing body would be technically correct. Also, WP:TWODABS disfavors disambiguation pages having only two links, because any ambiguity could be solved with a hatnote. Since the villages are always already linked in the town articles, a disambiguation page is superfluous because those who are looking for the town will have reached the page without making an additional search, and those specifically looking for the village will find it as easily as they would with a disambiguation page. If you think there is an actual concern (for example, a low-level edit war) it would help if you could say what it is. You mentioned 'serious allegations'. Reports at ANI sometimes get overlooked if the entire analysis is left as an exercise for the other admins. If this were still sitting at AN3, and if I had the time to look into it, I would probably try dialog to see if I could get any concessions from either or both sides. I requested FPP for Gun Control due to an edit war, so that a DR I opened could proceed. FPP has been granted. the DR is now rejected, because there is an open RFC on the topic. IMO the RFC is stale without consensus. It was opened 15 days ago. No major commenting in the RFC section has been done in several days, (although extensive discussions are elsewhere on the same topics). I made a motion to close on the talk page 3 days ago, which was seconded, but no other comments. I made a request for closure yesterday on the noticeboard with no response. Very heated controversial topic and debate, so definitely need an uninvolved person to close.

I just nominated the redirect Nigger_pool for deletion. Frankly, any page with "N_gg_r " anything is a no-brained, as the term is disparaging to colored people. Address restricted NRHP sites

Hey, great work tracking down info on some really obscure National Register sites (Pinkie's Corner in Chase County, Nebraska and Malmo Mounds and Village Site in Aitkin County, Minnesota for instance). I'm a little unsure, though, because the "address restricted" status is specifically used for sites that are deemed vulnerable to looting or vandalism. I certainly appreciate knowledge for knowledge's sake, and it's a real boon to local editors like me who may be able to finally add a picture, but in doing so we may be contravening the experts who deemed these sites highly sensitive. Just replied at Mcghiever's talk, but with both comments here, I might as well reply here too. Besides [what I said there, Herb has a good point — lots of these are prominent sites. See the photo of Grand Mound, for example; this AR site has a big sign in front, making it impossible to confuse with a natural hill. Other places for which I've done this, like the Eaker Site, don't have markers, but they've frequently been highly publicised locally. Pinkie's Corner is simply the landowners objecting for some reason to the NR mentioning their address; this is a simple group of buildings on a US highway. Nyttend (talk) 04:43, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) This topic is of extreme interest to me. As a note, and please see this as only an observation, there are several sites in McDowell County WV which will never have an "address" listed. You would be given the route etc etc and yes, there are some minor erros. The address restriction however is a real deal in a remote community. That's not exactly what's meant; Mcghiever refers to places like the rockshelters in Webster County or the Buffalo Indian Village Site in Putnam County. Places for which the NR restricts the address either are archaeological sites or are ones whose owners for some reason don't want the NR to publicise the address; Pinkie's Corner in Mcghiever's original message is an example of the latter, as is an article I recently wrote, Reamer Barn. My contributions are not directed against Serbs, as WhiteWriter shows. If we talk about minority names of Croatian settlements, I already told opinion and reason of activity. This case also should be clear: Ja sam za ples is Croatian song (as I wrote) and it is sung in Croatian language (Serbo-Croatian does not exist, that was artificially created language). Given that that is Croatian song sang in Croatian language, there is no reason to add Serbian or name in other language (except English, which is "official" language of Eurovision Song Contest) in article. --IvanOS 17:29, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

You replaced a hyphen in a citation with a dash; this is not in keeping with citation standards such as Chicago or MLA, which say that we reproduce titles accurately; feel free to add a [sic] after something you believe to be an error, but not to change something. Since you make such a big deal about imposing standards not used by real-world citation guidelines, you should be even more concerned about heeding actual citation guidelines instead of changing something that you see as an error. ... and now I've gone through the article and checked everything that might appear to be a cited title in which I changed a hyphen to an en-dash. Two of them do indeed have en-dashes, not hyphens, in the headlines. In the other cases, the thing that looked as if it might be a title was not, and linked to something containing neither a hyphen nor an en-dash as a headline or a title.

So it's more accurate after my edits than before, and I did not introduce any new inaccuracies.

If someone cites a book called Uncle Tom's Cabbin, and I change it to Uncle Tom's Cabin, which is the correct title, will you respond by saying I should not change titles of cited works, and I should have written Uncle Tom's Cabbin [sic], even though the title on the actual book is Uncle Tom's Cabin? My copies of Chicago and MLA use hyphens, as do other editions, and CITEVAR says not to change an article's established citation style. If the first citations are added with a style that says to use dashes, it shouldn't be changed away, but your changes don't appear to take into account variations in citation styles. Maybe you should bring that up on the talk page of WP:MOS, since that's been clear for years that en-dashes are used in ranges. Various different citation styles are used in Wikipedia articles, e.g. in some instances the name of the author comes before the name of the cited work and in other instances it comes after it. Antarctica

I was thinking of copy/pasting the small lead from the transport article to a section between the Research and the Ice mass.... sections. I would just use CC-by in the edit summary instead of trying to re-write it as it isn't very big and well worded. Economy is too narrow as transport is used in many sections. Some transport is not commercial so it may look funny in economy. I added that first ever winter rescue to transport a while ago and was wondering if we should have a section related to accidents, incidents, type thing (Safety and emergencies?). They are few and just stuffed in the history article now with not much content. It may also need a Popular culture section to mention things like Pole to Pole in case readers don't know Michael Palin or the series. There may be another popular culture event soon if it is doable. I will try my plan for transport and if someone moves it I will walk away. As long as it is in the article somewhere besides the bottom template I am happy. National Register of Historic Places listings in Grand County, Colorado

I have recently begun compiling a list of duplicates across state/county boundaries at User:Dudemanfellabra/Sandbox (although it is taking me a while to do it since I've been doing other things as well). I hope to eventually get the list to update automatically like the Progress page does. In making that list, I came across Trail Ridge Road and North Inlet Trail which are duplicated in the Larimer and Grand County, Colorado, lists. Generally when a duplicated listing is illustrated, it should be illustrated on every list in which it appears. If it isn't, calling that duplicate illustrated on the Progress page (which both of these are) is a false statement because there are not two images for that site, and thus it needn't be subtracted off from the total. I can understand that you don't think a picture should go in the Grand County list if the picture wasn't taken in Larimer County, but are there any other pictures that would suffice? I see several included on Trail Ridge Road besides the one you removed; are any of those taken in the Grand County portion? I can't find any others for the North Inlet Trail, so I'm not sure what to do about that one. Perry County Courthouse

I noted WP:OBVIOUS as the justification for my last revert. To expand on it:

• I was actually living in Ohio when that case was decided (that, in fact, is why I went to look at the article), and was part of a team of reporters covering it for a suburban weekly newspaper chain. There really were people (outside of the elected officials and school superintendents I mostly talked to) who thought the state Supreme Court was interpreting the U.S. Constitution, and wondered where in that document the "thorough and efficient" clause was.
• You had initially capitalized the word "constitution". Most people commonly understand that to mean the U.S. Constitution is being referred to. Outside of some state-court opinions perhaps, I don't think it's common to capitalize it when referring to a state constitution.
• Sometimes, in fact, state courts are called upon to interpret the U.S. Constitution (I have a short SCOTUS case I'm thinking of writing about soon that turns on exactly that, how the Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals read the Fourteenth Amendment) as part of a case.
• There is a lot of confusion outside the community of those of us, for whatever reason, aware of legal distinctions like this. I once saw, in a story in the Newark Star-Ledger, a reporter refer to a decision handed down by "the state's Third Circuit Court of Appeals". I hope they were new on the job, but consider that, even though it was a weekend, a copy editor should also have caught that. If even New Jersey's newspaper of record can't always get something like that right, we owe it to our readers and, indeed, our larger community to not further foster that confusion.
• So, I don't think there are many readers as knowledgeable about this as we'd all like to think (Also remember that, on hard copy, the link will not be available for a non-knowledgeable reader).

I'm not often sarcastic in my edit summaries, but there are times when entering a summary like "Translated into English" gives me great spiritual relief after hacking my way through a dense thicket of semiliteracy. I just came across where you edited person articles into this category. People are categorized by locality aka 'People from Columbiana County Ohio' or if a town in that county has its own category then 'People from Salem, Ohio, and some of those edits[33] you did were to persons who were already categorized 'People from Columbiana County'. If a town or city has many sufficient people from it, a category can be created. That would have been the correct process and I'm actually doing that now. Anyone in the category 'East Liverpool, Ohio' will be moved to 'People from East Liverpool Ohio' and if they have are categorized 'People from Columbiana County Ohio', that one will be removed. These pages are just not needed, there not used and the community consensus is they should be deleted after the comments have been moved to the talk page (if applicable). These are blank, some are just redirects. I am starting with those. I submitted some others to MFD as I mentioned and they got sent to CSD. Magazines and TV Screens Tour

Hi, thanks for correcting my tag on the above article. I am still new to wikipedia and am undergoing a learning process. My rationale for taging the article was that I felt it was unduly promotional, existing only to advertise the upcoming tour of the group Union J. Considering that the article is about a future event, I felt it is in contradiction to Wikipedia:Future event and WP:CRYSTALBALL. Besides this The article hardly meets up to the inclusion criteria for Wikipedia:Notability (events), which states; Routine kinds of news events (including most crimes, accidents, deaths, celebrity or political news, "shock" news, stories lacking lasting value such as "water cooler stories," and viral phenomena) – whether or not tragic or widely reported at the time – are usually not notable unless something further gives them additional enduring significance. I believe the article is actually nothing more than a rewording of this news article, and falls short of WP:NOTNEWS. Nor do I feel the depth of coverage is sufficient to establish notability of the event, the BBC link provided is dead. I realize that these criteria might not be sufficient to rationalize a speedy deletion tag, or that some of the criteria might not correctly apply to this case, but felt this might be a good opportunity to learn some more about policy, hence I would appreciate your sharing your thoughts with me on these. yesterday I created this page and it got a notification for deletion. I left a message on the talk page explaining what happened and that I would replace the text later, but today when I came back I saw that I didn't get any answer there. Thank you so much for your feedback. About the first request, I have to say that I wrote the plot based on me watching the episode. As I've seen in almost 95% (of course I can't check all the episodes on wiki) of the shows with detailed plots for their episodes, there are no refs since I suppose the editors also wrote them the way I did. I'll sure add the ABC link. I don't mind at all doing it :) but for more right now I don't have any.
The second request...I totally understand what you are saying about formal and thank you for that. You are right. Just english is not my first language and while I am writing I don't think of that. Now I'll have it in mind. I'll edit the article again making the changes that are necessary and I'll have it in mind now for future edits :)
I'll do all the changes and I'll search for more sources on the plot (hopefully I'll find some) when I'll get back home because now I have to go. It's 7:30am here and I'll be back in the afternoon. Just a question, is it wrong to write a plot based only on watching the episode? Because usually we can't find a detailed plot in an official source. Thanks again for all your help and feedback. The db-banned

Thanks for reviewing it. The way I understood it is someone who doesn't want to take the edits for themselves can tag it, and then if another editor wants to improve the article/"take it under their belt" so to speak they can do such. Would you take a look at [35] ? Its certainly not as blatant as the editor you took action on, but is similar. Seems to be a sleeper account, reactivated right after your block, doing some miscellaneous cleanup edits, in particular commented on the snark !vote from the previous harrasser, [36] which brought them to my attention, and then have proceeded to go through and touch several various articles I edit on. I wouldn't say its hounding, as none of the edits are aggressive (excepting the most recent, an AFD nomination), but it does certainly appear to be following of some sort, and in such close proximity to the previous incident seems suspicious. The interaction covers a very diverse set of topics that seems unlikely to be coincidence [37] , but as it isn't as obvious as previously, I am unsure what the proper action would be. Is this a duck? worthy of an SPI? Or just somebody who noticed me and is clicking around? If it is another sock, I wish there was some way to identify the real puppeteer, but they are at least doing a good job of making identifying themselves difficult. I would like to request a page protection for this article. As per the edit history, IP editors have been removing Sherlyn's names in the telenovela. She has two identities: Liliana Arriaga and Lucía Celorio Balvanera de Pavía. The former was named by her "supposed" parents who raised her since infancy (Eduardo Yáñez & Mónika Sánchez); the latter was named by her biological mother who never knew her existence until towards the end of the telenovela (Natalia Esperón). Two sources were provided to confirm these 2 identities and in my opinion, they need to stay.

The main problem is that the IP editors are removing one & leaving the other. In addition to that, one IP editor is removing the sources I provided without explanation. I've warned the editor. Platinum Star (talk) 00:15, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Maryland Inventory of Historical Properties

I just noticed your question on Pubdog's talkpage about the NRHP docs for Maryland: the Maryland Inventory of Historical Properties is here [38]. It contains NRHP properties and places the MHT thought might be candidates in the same format. You can use the tabs at the top of the page to navigate. Nothing in Baltimore City for some reason. Thanks a lot! I didn't realise that they provided coverage for NR sites except in the NR section, which as Smallbones noted above (section Maryland "NRHP forms") doesn't provide nominations. Didn't have time for too much photography (my brother's wedding rehearsal was that day, so I only had a little while between rehearsal dinner and sunset), but at least I'll be able to supply a photo for Penn Alps, one of the previously-unillustrated Inns on the National Road, and anyway it's good to add another state to my personal photo collection. It's not the easiest website to use, bit they've got a ton of material on both NRHP properties and places that they surveyed simply as potentially historical properties, using the NRHP format for documentation. Acroterion (talk) 03:33, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

No complaints :-) I've grown accustomed to a comparable setup with the IHPA HARGIS, which has tons of records for non-NR historic sites throughout Illinois; I can easily tell what's listed and what's not, and having information for tons of other sites is far more helpful than having information just for the NR sites. PennDOT Bridges

The PennDOT photos were only for the bridges on the "Highway Bridges Owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation TR", which I am pretty sure did not include Frantz's Bridge. I also could not access CRGIS today. The person I spoke with at PennDOT was Kara Russell, see here. I would contact her to see if 1) PennDOT took the photo and 2) if they would release it. There is a guy from Philly area who has taken many pictures of NRHP sites who I will contact - he tends to upload what does not have a picture, but it can't hurt to ask.
