Concerning the implementation of the "close decision" of an RfC
Hi, this is concerning the implementation of Talk:Veganism/Archive_14#RfC: Should the definition at the start of the lead of Veganism contain the wording, 'and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals'?.
As it happens, both active editors who would have implemented this change are now unable to edit the article anymore. The lister of the section and the RfC happened to retire from Wikipedia. I happen to have voluntarily promised never to edit the article itself after an edit war over a related matter. No one else has implemented the change in the meantime either.
I don't think it would be any sort of a breach if the suggested, minor addition would be added to the lead by you, as in: "Veganism is both the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that is not always but may be followed which rejects the commodity status of animals."
I took your suggestion fairly literally, so if you feel like making changes, please go ahead. Help would be appreciated. --Mr. Magoo (talk) 23:42, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

- @Mr. Magoo and McBarker: I believe that the second sentence makes it clear enough ("a follower of either the diet or philosophy ...") However, even if that doesn't make it clear enough, it is probably best to word it like so:
Veganism includes/encompasses the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals ...

NPP stats
A user right for NPP has been on the cards for 4 years but we've had problems with getting someone to provide the stats we needed to prove that what the junior WMF contractor was telling us was of course completely erroneous and designed to discredit the volunteer team while userping the research project for the Foundatiuon and taking the credit for himself. That said, could you have another look at your extrapolation because I can't see where 0ver 10,000 different users have patrolled new pages during the sample period. DRN help needed and volunteer roll call

First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.
Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

Published my first translation, but I'd need help with a couple of things
Hi,
Once again, thank you for the welcome message! When you welcomed me on my talk page, you said that I could leave you a message on your talk page, if there was something I needed help with.
Well, I have just finished my first translation and published it, article Alppiharju. It is not a direct translation, but an edited translation. Even the Finnish original was short, and didn't have many sources.
First of all, could you check and see if the source is correctly cited? This was the first time I had to use written code for citing a source, so even though it looks all right to the naked eye (at least mine), I'd like to have some sort of confirmation that it's in proper format — or, constructive criticism as to what needs to be added.
There's still some work I'm planning to do with the article, such as finding more sources, and looking up if I could produce some new text that I would be able to back up with trustworthy sources. However, I decided to already publish the translation, so that there would be at least a bit more text than there used to be. I'm also thinking of perhaps uploading a photo I've taken, and using it with the article. (I used to live in the Alppila sub-district of Alppiharju.)
I didn't touch the infobox yet, because I saw some problems with the way it was constructed, compared to the information that needs to be in there. Perhaps you could guide me to the best place to ask my question about the infobox, and how it could be made more suitable, or where I could ask somebody to make the necessary corrections for me? I can clarify my issues in more detail, if that will better help you directing me with my questions to the correct place. But because the explanation would be pretty long, I decided to omit it from here, unless you specifically need to know in order to direct me to the correct place to ask for help.
