G'day and well done on creating this new article. Quite an interesting topic which I'll admit I didn't know anything about until I saw your new article linked on the Australian commandos article. A couple of suggestions to (hopefully) help you improve it:
You have added an extensive reference list which is a good start, but pls consider adding some more in-line citations (at least one at the end of each paragraph is generally considered appropriate; however, if you use multiple sources for different parts of a paragraph you should cite them all, placing the corresponding reference next to the text it supports). Pls see WP:INCITE for more information on this; and
Just wondering if the name of the article should be moved. Currently it is at New Guinea Air Warning Wireless, would it be more appropriate to move it to somewhere like: New Guinea Air Warning Wireless Company for instance (or even something else)? What are your thoughts on that?

Starting with your second point - The unit is generally known as the New Guinea Air Warning Wireless.....Company is usually dispensed with, I believe due to the "irregular" nature of the work, and the fact they were making it up for themselves and "adjusting/bending" regulations to get the job done. In the same way the Independent of the independent company is also rarely mentioned, even though that is one of the most startling features surrounding the unit, as they were seen to be in the same mould as the new (yet to be formally named) Commando Company's.
The extensive reference list is due to the fact most references cross over and back each other up. It is difficult to provide a citation for each paragraph or even small sections/sentences - I have added three where I could.....The whole section on equipment is a mash of a very concise article with no way of referencing independent points - and the original compiler of that historical article passed away many years ago.
What I was able to copy and compile I have in an open text file, so I'll try and go back through and try and adjust that....I will need to borrow all the books again (and have some sent from interstate collections) and fully read them, and find some spare change to purchase copies of the manuscripts etc.
I have a personal interest in this little known unit, as my Grandfather was a member, and hope that more and more people learn what little we can tell them. They had massive input in the defence of Australia and the FIRST defeat of the Japanese force at Kokoda could not have occurred without them.Enderwigginau (talk) 10:43, 19 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello again. I've just reworded [1] the "Equipment" section as I noticed it was very similar to the source you used [2]. This is a very easy mistake to make especially when starting out but just be aware that there are policies on Wikipedia that prevent doing this for your future edits - pls see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing etc. Anyway if you have any questions about this pls let me know. Those extra refs and the material you added today was good (esp the Damien Parer photo connection, I'd been meaning to add that myself). BTW I'm hoping to get to the library tomorrow after work (or this weekend at a pinch) so I *might* be able to track down the remaining "citation needed" tags depending on the availability of the books in question. There is only one "citation needed" ref left and I've read the source twice today but can't find it now!! The Parer photo of the Samarai OP in the AWM collection probably needs a run. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. I really appreciate your work in getting my Jack Nissenthall article up and running. It is also appreciated that you used my original wording for the opening sections, section titles and core references. Your sections of Jack's selection, actions on the day and subsequent life is excellent. I have been off WP for a good while so I was very pleasantly surprised to see it. I trust you will have no objections to my adding it to my articles created/improved list on my user page. Not a problem Simon. The draft got deleted so I had the gave it reinstated. I didn’t want the work you put in to be lost. Definitely put it in your articles created, and work away on adding to it. I need to get another copy of Green Beach etc and reread it all, and find a bit more on his life after the war. I have an article idea in my sandbox for the Commonwealth 14-in 1 ration, I have been reading up on some interesting Australian rations including the jungle ration. Dunno if it's your thing but you're welcome if it's an interest. Copyvio stuff is such a bloody minefield, and our chums over at commons have a bit of a history, as I recall.. say no more. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
