Welcome to the ninth Bugle for 2024!

Voting has opened in the project's Coordinator Elections, and closes on 28 September -- make your voice heard!

In this month's issue, the article news section includes three new featured articles, two new featured pictures (moving pictures, to be exact!), and two new A-class articles.

In the book review section, Hog Farm looks at a recent work on the bayou battles of the Vicksburg Campaign during the American Civil War.

Awards and honours

There were no awards last month.


Contest department

 

The August edition of the contest department's article writing, and improvement, contest saw Sturmvogel_66 take the top spot in the contest with 30 points from 3 articles brought from start to GA-class. He claims the Wikichevrons as his prize. Zawed finished second in the August contest with 24 points from 4 articles and was awarded the Writer's Barnstar. Other entries in August were submitted by Djmaschek, Rahim231 and simongraham. Monthly totals are applied to the overall 2024 writer's cup, which will be decided at the end of December.

The September edition of the contest is now open. Please consider submitting your current article projects as entries into this friendly competition.
