The Beach Boys

You might want to go back and actually fix what you reverted on the Beach Boys page. You left it like this "{{refn|group=nb|Starting with the 1970 sessions" I may have broken the reference but I didn't leave a bad fix behind.

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. Toddst1 (talk) 06:47, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

Yes, it does. I think the way this is rolling out is that new additions should be directly sourced. There are a number of us going through the old stuff and adding sources to the DOY pages where they exist in the linked articles and in the process pulling out a ton of errors (which is the point of this whole change). That will be a long process.

In parallel, there's a discussion over at Village Pump about limiting what goes in to these articles and how long the articles should be so we don't have stuff like "On this date in 1965, the Pope's dog farted."^[3] littering these articles. Toddst1 (talk) 15:58, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

@Joker jun: I reverted your request for an article on MiniTool Solution Ltd here because it reads like an advert. A more neutral tone is required, something like:

MiniTool Solution Ltd – software development company based in Canada, creators of MiniTool Partition Wizard, MiniTool Power Data Recovery and MiniTool ShadowMaker.

But the other problem with your request is that all the sources you list relate to MiniTool Partition Wizard, not the company. You need to add reliable, independent, 3rd party sources about the company. —Bruce1ee 17:36, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Short description

I've been working on a fix that should work. Could you please take a look at User:Gonnym/sandbox/tests2 and User:Gonnym/sandbox/tests1 and tell me if you see anything that shouldn't be there? --Gonnym (talk) 13:45, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

This is all I'm seeing:

• tests2 – an infobox with a title "Test" and a single line "Lost episode"; two hidden categories, "Pages with short description" and "Television episode articles with short description with no season number"
• tests1 – only the two hidden categories in tests2

I'm not seeing any short descriptions on either of the test pages. BTW I've ticked "Show page description beneath the page title" in Preferences/Gadgets – that's how I'm seeing the short descriptions. I don't know if this helps you at all. —Bruce1ee 14:10, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Having placed your request, now you just have to wait until an editor picks it up and creates the article for you. Remember that Wikipedia is a volunteer service, which means that there are no people dedicated to creating articles, only those who volunteer to do so at any time they wish.
