Release Date confirmed edit

I updated the release date to what I found on the homepage but unsure how to do the correct references etc, but at least I got the info up for all to see so if someone could complete that for me I would appreciate it, tried to piece together how to do the correct references from the "Left 4 Dead 2" article but I'm not so good with Wiki yet, thanks.

Just realized that didn't go directly to the homepage, but if you go to the homepage first you can see it links to that article. Found out how and edited it. (Psyclon Thanatos (talk) 13:25, 27 October 2009 (UTC))Reply

Need of the "Plot" template? edit

One would think the official site, where this is from, offers the best source for the plot overview. --Petrim (talk) 14:51, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Game Engine edit

Can we call this the first DX10 only game? Or at least the first major game that is DX10 only? Halo 2 doesnt count because it was artificially locked to vista and a hacked version works on XP. Vmaldia (talk) 00:08, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

SEGA's RTS Stormrise, released March 24, 2009 in the US is the first game to use DirectX 10 exclusively, see http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,677895/Stormrise-first-DX10-only-game-Interview-with-Lead-Designer/News/Tripleblade (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

What game engine is this game running? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.155.144.171 (talk) 11:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

The game engine is developed by Futuremark based on the engine used in 3DMark Vantage.Tripleblade (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reviews edit

Strange that the reviews section of game with an average of around 70 on Metacritic doesn't mention a single review that scores the game less than 8/10 (or an equivalent thereof). Lots of the positive reviews come from sources that aren't exactly big names, either. Somebody should look into where these edits are coming from. --75.100.92.236 (talk) 19:07, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

The reviews quoted on the page are early reviews from around the release date. Feel free to quote more reviews, or try to summarize common points that appear in multiple reviews. Gamespot and Eurogamer review should definitely be mentioned. Fubuki (talk) 03:32, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've rewritten the reception section to be more balanced.Tripleblade (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

criticism edit

The game has received much criticism for only being released for Windows Vista/7 and not Windows XP.--FifthCylon (talk) 18:51, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is mentioned in the Gamespot sentence in the reception section.Tripleblade (talk) 07:10, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Criticism of Firepower update edit

I request that there be some mention of many players' negative reaction to the Firepower update and its weapons changes. All I've read about it comes from message boards though and I assume Wikipedia requires better sources than that. If I find any appropriate sources I'll begin editing the page. tildetildetildetilde — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.164.82.6 (talk) 20:29, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

removed from distribution edit

I was expecting to see the story behind the game's removal from Steam. Is that not important enough for a mention? I would add it myself, but don't know it. 104.59.83.70 (talk) 00:08, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
