Germany or Austria? edit

Hi @KGRAMR:,

are you certain for the Germany origin? As far as I can tell, Eclipse Software Design (Q114643557) was based in Austria − see eg the website in .at https://web.archive.org/web/20120216095336/http://www.eclipse.at:80/

(It does not help that there’s apparently half-a-dozen studios called some variation of “Eclipse XYZ” :)

@Jean-Frédéric: ESD is not based on Austria. Their employees were German, based on their names seen here (https://www.mobygames.com/game/jaguar/iron-soldier/credits), here (https://www.mobygames.com/game/lethal-xcess-wings-of-death-ii) and here (https://www.mobygames.com/game/stone-age). @KGRAMR: Er, based on their names? What’s different between typical German names and typical Austrian names? Also, even if they were German − plenty of Germans live and work in neighbouring Austria (I should know − I live in Austria).
Meanwhile, the website being in .at is a pretty strong indication. A German company would typically have a .de website. Jean-Fred (talk) 06:46, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
(I thought I mentioned it in my original post − OGDB, which is user-generated but generally quite accurate particularly for DACH video games, places ESD in Austria. Jean-Fred (talk) 07:34, 14 October 2022 (UTC))Reply
@Jean-Frédéric:Perhaps it would be a good idea to talk with the other members at the main talk page of the Wikipedia VG project... Roberth Martinez (talk) 21:36, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
