edit- 37.25.84.88 (talk · contribs)
Dear wikipedia team, Im requesting a review of my draft because my article should be in wikipedia, it is one of the oldest newspaper in my country. Please review it again. Kind regards!
37.25.84.88 (talk) 04:38, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- The draft has received three reviews. You might want to take a look at some articles like The Guardian or The New York Times, because there is a lot of missing information in that draft, i.e. the Five Ws. When was it established? Who started it? Who was the first editor-in-chief? Was it started for any noteworthy reason, like to combat propaganda coming out of a state newspaper or something? Has it won any awards? Who is the current editor-in-chief? Who else has owned it over the years? Has it broken any major news stories? Does it have a certain political slant? Do other media outlets cite this newspaper often?
- Beyond that, you're going to need to demonstrate that it is notable, so either you would have to demonstrate that it has met our General Notability Criteria, or that it meets the criteria for newspapers, magazines and journals. By answering a lot of the questions above (and other ones you think of) you might find it easier to establish notability. Hope that helps. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:48, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi Wikipedia Community,
I have submitted a draft for a review and had it rejected due to what I understood was a concern with reliable sources.
I have since then also posted in this discussion page for assistance once but received no response.
I am enquiring as to what you might suggest my draft requires in order to be published?
As stated in my last discussion post, in regards to the draft’s citations; I have referred to other Wikipedia pages that meet the same profile as my article and found my referencing outweighs the standard of those already published.
Insofar as their credibility, one source is a subsidiary to publisher NewsCorp, while another a statement released by the official governing body of football in South Australia.
Finally, the article I am attempting to publish is one of two remaining club profiles that will complete Wikipedia’s entries on soccer in South Australia, so if you could provide any help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time, look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards

- Pontos92 You have been given advice by the reviewers of your draft; the most recent issue is the lack of inline citations. Please see WP:REFB for information on making proper citations. 331dot (talk) 10:07, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

- @Shreyaunchalli: First of all, please dont write in ALL CAPS. Its considered shouting, and is not going to help your cause. As for the decline reason, please read the second pink box at the top of Draft:S._Mahesh_Kumar. If you need more explanation, the blue-colored texts are links that birng up more information. 06:47:06, 16 December 2020 review of submission by Nargizyl
editHello! I recently created a page that gets rejected. In every rejection, I made considerable changes but eventually, it rejected again. I only have a few notable sources and relatively short information. But I am planning to improve every day. Could anyone help how can I get it done? Thanks in advance!
Nargizyl (talk) 06:47, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Nargizyl Your draft has been rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. Wikipedia is not a place to merely tell about a company. A Wikipedia article about a company summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Press releases, routine announcements of business transactions, staff interviews, and other primary sources do not establish notability. Please see Your First Article for more information.
- If you work for this company, you must review conflict of interest and paid editing for information on formal disclosures you may be required to make. 331dot (talk) 10:03, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

18:07:44, 16 December 2020 review of submission by JanglaKing
edit- JanglaKing (talk · contribs)
I created the article name "Major Adil Farooq Raja", included all the details, references, citations, external links. But it got rejected. This is insult of our hardwork and need to be stopped else all the reviewers will only exploit the platform by rejecting and vandalizing record plus putting a question mark on Wikipedia's credibility. JanglaKing (talk) 18:07, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- JanglaKing The draft was in my opinion correctly rejected. I realize it is disappointing to have that happen to something you worked hard on, but if a subject does not meet the notability criteria, it cannot have an article.
- Wikipedia has limited credibility anyway because Wikipedia is not a reliable source. The sources are what matters. You seem to be suggesting that there is some sort of agenda against your edits; that is a very serious accusation to make. You have no evidence for that.
- Who is "our"? Each account is for the exclusive use of a single individual. 331dot (talk) 18:14, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- If you have grievances with the review process, you may bring them up at this linked page. 331dot (talk) 18:17, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
331dot I am not putting a blame but the review process is surely faulty and needs to be transparent. Agenda against me? When did I say that? You've read the comment I made?Surely? BTW what's wrong with the article? References are given from neutral websites and his linkedIn account which proves the notability of the subject.LinkedIn CAN be used at times to authenticate details about the subject. The only problem the reviewers had with the article was the references of LinkedIn. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JanglaKing (talk • contribs) 18:39, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- JanglaKing Again, who is "our"? You said "This is insult of our hardwork and need to be stopped else all the reviewers will only exploit the platform by rejecting and vandalizing record" which suggests that you think reviewers have an agenda other than determining if articles meet the criteria to merit inclusion in this global encyclopedia. That's all people are doing. 331dot (talk) 21:40, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- You haven't appeared to have demonstrated that the person meets the guidelines of a notable soldier or the Wikipedia definition of a notable person. None of the sources you have offered seem to have significant coverage of this person. 331dot (talk) 21:43, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Cristiandorobantu (talk) 21:22, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Cristiandorobantu Your draft was rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. It appears that the person does not meet the Wikipedia definition of a notable person, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. 331dot (talk) 21:36, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
So you're telling me that a secretary of state with the rank of a minister from Romania, that was a colleague of Macron and Federica Mogherini, that worked for The World Bank is not notable enough, based on what? The incident was as such if you look at the history: I wrote the article, the submitted it. I got a review that my sources for his books and articles even though that had an ISBN code and all that is required were copy+pasted from his CV. Ok i got rid of those, i said ok, fair enough, they were too many (no notable enough, right?), then resubmitted. Got a flag that I had inline citations from outside source. I used the citation bot and then resubmitted. I got my article immediately rejected and deleted and whatever without any warning or understanding. I wrote here the first time asking for help and i was told to add some more citations, so I did and waited for a response. Now I write again to find out what happens and get told that I can stop hoping. It's not that I'm complaining but it seems all a bit unfair since there is an article on wikipedia about him in romanian???Cristiandorobantu (talk) 21:50, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Cristiandorobantu Note that different language Wikipedias are each independent projects, with their own editors and policies. What is acceptable on one version is not necessarily acceptable on another. If this person is a government minister in charge of an entire ministry, that isn't entirely clear from the article. Most of it talks about other topics such as being a party official. I am not familiar with the structure of the Romanian government but it doesn't seem like this person is similar to the United States Secretary of State or the British Foreign Minister. If it is, then you need to tell the reviewer who rejected your draft that. 331dot (talk) 21:59, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
"In 2017 he becomes Managing Partner of RISE Consortium[27] and holds that position until December 2019 when he becomes Secretary of State[28] within the Ministry of Public Finance of Romania, an office he currently holds." - Well I wrote it right here, which means nobody even read it and it got deleted just like that... Anyway as an example a state secretary is an office that responds directly to the minister of that department. So if the Minister of Finance is #1, he is #2. Anyway, please tell me what I can do to unmake this.Cristiandorobantu (talk) 22:10, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- As I said, you need to discuss this with the reviewer that rejected your draft. 331dot (talk) 22:13, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Could someone, except Number 47 review this page. All the statements made by him about why it's rejected are false. Thank you.
Herthaaltedame (talk) 22:49, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Herthaaltedame does not understand our notability criteria. The subject has never played or managed in a fully-professional league (which are listed here – note that the Estonian league is not fully professional). Number 57 22:51, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
