This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

This was deleted alll the way back in 2007 for being, apparently, unreferenced. It was then undeleted out-of-process citing an IRC discussion (?!) by an admin who apparently shortly thereafter ceased to be one. Then it went to DRV, where the deletion was confirmed because the undeletion was not policy compliant, although there were some comments that the AFD may have revealed some relevant sources.

Whew.

In any case, I'm working to recover some of the 200X-era sources where possible. And I think there are some actually more recent sources that legitimately discuss the legacy and impact of this early web work. I'm not sure I've got enough for an article. I'm double extra not sure that the 2007-era unreferenced article would be in any way useful. But I'd like to see it, in case there's anything to work with at all.

Regardless, I am not looking to have this restored directly to article space. It certainly does not belong there. Rather, I'd like to have this userfied to User:Lubal/PLIF while I see what can be done. No matter what, the restoration won't linger there for too long. Originally the page was flagged for concerns surrounding WP:NCORP and WP:ORGIND. To address these concerns I did significant research into the organization (ILA) as well as the press it has received. I then made a number of substantial edits to correct each these deficiencies. As far as notability, I provided citations to a number of major write-ups on the ILA by outlets including Fox News, Washington Examiner, California Globe and multiple state and local outlets. My research also found that the CEO of the ILA was recently named as one of the top 500 most influential people in the country on public policy by the Washingtonian due to the report ILA produced on the GOP Presidential Primary. I noted this and provided citations of how the report had been heavily utilized and cited by the Nikki Haley Presidential campaign. Finally, I provided mentions and citations to controversies the ILA has sparked among a number of state lawmakers. I had intended to address the "orphan tag" by linking to some of the roughly 50 members of the U.S. Congress who have publicly referenced the ILA but was unable to before the page was deleted. As far as the ORGIND concern, I removed the overuse of citations to press releases produced by the ILA and some members of congress which was a concern of one individual who commented on the page. I then linked to work of multiple credible and notable journalists (such as Paul Bedard and Katy Grimes) and other major publications in the states. In conclusion, I addressed all of the associated concerns which were brought up in the deletion discussion. Upon my edits, no one refuted anything and there were no additional concerns in regards to anything. Therefore, I request that the page be reinstated. Thank you for your review.

All pictures and graphic images were made by me or other club member. (publication rights were mentioned as potential issues.) We just had an uninvolved unexperienced editor in the IRC asking why it was deleted. I don't usually patrol this page so I'm going to just comment as a passing admin rather than make any sort of definitive judgement, but... I would decline this. There is almost nothing in the draft that's worth salvaging (the tables/formatting can be copied from series 9 or similar) and we shouldn't be restoring G5'd content just because complains that we're "destroying knowledge". Ponyo, apologies for not contacting you, the sequence of events went along the lines of "I created the draft from scratch" followed by a user on IRC telling me that they had contributed to the then-deleted draft page, after which I realised that issue and restored the page. At that point it was more the fact that I was there and editing than anything. I had recreated the draft thinking that it was a valid G5 (which was also why I commented here about it).
