Cut and paste moves.

Hey, thanks for trying to fix the problem at The Bilz and Kashif. Unfortunately, a problem with these cut-and-paste moves is that they lose the contributions of all the editors who have changed the article. In order to fix this, assuming the new one is the correct title, any editor who comes across it should tag the new article with {{histmerge}}, so that an admin can merge the histories. Cheers! – Toon(talk) 14:00, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

No worries. It's on eof those things that nobody would ever think of unless they're made aware :) – Toon(talk) 12:48, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Putting a Picture up without getting copyrighted

Hey victor, i was just wonderin if you could answer my question-that i posted on the bilz and kashif discussion page? i assumed since you were editing the page a lot-u mite now the answer here it is: How would I go about uploading a picture for the page? I wanted to just upload a picture from their facebook but I am not sure about all the licensing info and I don't want it to be copyrighted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yesss22 (talkcontribs) 03:19, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Regarding Paulinho da Costa

Dear Victor, I know your intentions are good, but you took away some important categories for Paulinho da Costa. Your additions were proper but you need to reinstate some of the old ones. ex: Category: Percussionists, Jazz percussionists, etc. Thank you. Muito Obrigado Vibem (talk) 18:37, 30 January 2009 (UTC).

You Am I redirecting

Hi!

Just letting you know that I'm currently merging two pages (When You Got Dry and How Much Is Enough (song)) which exist for the same release (a double A-side) into the new combined When You Got Dry/How Much Is Enough, so there isn't a need to redirect from the new article to the old. :o) --Sqrnookle (talk) 01:34, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Valensole

Hi! Thank you for this article!

I have a question about the second witness that you mentioned: "Local farmer Paul Belyea" Do you still remember where you found his report? This would be interesting, because we haven't heard about him in France. Though his report could be left aside in some old book?Spolo (talk) 11:23, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi again!
I am french, living in germany. I am quite "international" and I like to develop contacts abroad. If you are interested in some exchanges, I would be glad to learn about brasil's ufos and tell about european ones.
But first, let's talk about this Paul Belyea story. It seems like someone set-up this, as you said. You should indeed erase this, but maybe keep it. This name seems not to exist anymore in france. But it does have french roots. I tried to adapt the search by "Belier" but still, it doesn't work.
The place where you can find the most of Belyea today, is New England.
I may search another times and tell you. If you could estabish the contact with the person who wrote this, it would be great!Spolo (talk) 20:05, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
I have registered for the first time in wikipedia after reading your article. May I simply modify it? Is it so simple?
I will do so, but I will get an answer about Paul Belyea in the french books soon.
In Europe, there was in January the Conisholme wind turbine wrecking story(still in progress), and fly-through south germany of a unknown object doing 100km/h for some hours at night, 19th.
Talking about french ufo history, there is one case which happened on 5th November 1990. 400 sightings within 15min in many parts of france. Lots have seen only the satellite that was burning in fact at the same moment. But also a lot told about triangles and half-mile long ships. This case is mostly unknown because of the satellite occurence.
I haven't seen the article about bresilian cases in wikipedia. Is it only in portuguese?
Cheers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spolo (talkcontribs) 22:43, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Thank you Victor for showing me how to procede in wiki ;)
I go on with this case and hopefully find out about Paul. Thanks for the brezilian link too. If I may help you for french side information, you can ask me. Cheers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spolo (talkcontribs) 07:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

The Breakdowns

It's all unsourced crap, plus a list of links that are badly formatted. Spam wikipedia, but do it well —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.152.225 (talk) 17:42, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Victor,

Sorry, was in a hurry, I just deleted it on a drive-by basis. I know you didn't do it, sorry for any confusion caused, any offence caused also. It will probably be gone next week, I agree! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.152.225 (talk) 19:33, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

User Zonly

I saw the notice in WikiProject Brazil talk page and I'm interested in helping. I'm not perfectly fluent in English, but I've got enough skills to communicate, I suppose. Just tell me exactly what you guys need me do do. Victor Lopes (talk) 21:27, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. I think the most important thing is to convey to Zonly is the seriousness of the above discussion and ask him to respond at WP:ANI#Page moves by Zonly. He needs to explain whether he understands the many warnings he has been given, understands why some of his page moves are inappropriate, and whether he intends to stop making page moves without discussing on the article's talk page first. If you could also explain that if he does not respond and continues his same pattern of editing (especially page moves) that he almost certainly will be blocked. Then we can see whether he responds and figure out what to do. It might be easier for him to respond in his native language, and, if so, we might need your help. Many thanks. AudioCodes page to be deleted?

Hello,

I am truly interested to know what parts of the article are considered as advertising. I will immediately remove/modify. My goal is to provide a public interrest info about that company and not promoting anything. I used the Cisco company example in order to avoid being too commercial and keep the article valid for wikipedia rules. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Saudações

Olá Victor, também sou um brasileiro no Wikipedia inglês (sou de Salvador). Vi que você tenha feito algumas edições no artigo do Sarcófago há algum tempo atrás. Tô trabalhando nele desde dezembro do ano passado. Se quiser ajudar em alguma coisa eu agradeço! Musicaindustrial (talk) 18:36, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject/New page

Hi Victor - You opposed my WikiProject proposal, and I wanted to get your advice as to how to get a page started. I'm new at this, and I'm just trying to figure everything out. One page I read suggested creating a WikiProject. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you! Ealcoop23 (talk) 18:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the advice. Do you think I should just take down my WikiProject proposal? Ealcoop23 (talk) 18:38, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
