WikiProject Firefighting! edit

Hello Vami IV/Archive9, and thank you for your contributions relating to firefighting! Based off of your edits, you may be interested in joining WikiProject Firefighting, which was created recently after WikiProject Fire Services and WikiProject Fire Protection combined. Adding yourself to the participants list shows you are interested or willing to help improve the coverage of firefighting and it's related topics on Wikipedia, but there is no obligation. For more information, feel free to contact me or ask a question on the project's talk page. Happy editing 🙂 Johnson524 01:49, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey Vami IV! I'm attempting to revive the WikiProjects on firefighting under one united WikiProject Firefighting, and after seeing your recent GA, I was wondering if you'd be willing to join? No hard feelings if not, and you wouldn't be obligated to do anything, it more than anything would just show support for this side of Wikipedia, and it's completely optional. Thank you again for your contributions, and cheers! Johnson524 01:49, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

WikiCup 2024 February newsletter edit

The 2024 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with 135 participants. This is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2017.

Our current leader is newcomer   Generalissima (submissions), who has one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher) and 10 GAs and 12 DYKs mostly on New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:

As a reminder, competitors may submit work for the first round until 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February, and the second round starts 1 March. Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round; currently, competitors need at least 15 points to progress. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. DYK for Gates of Heaven Synagogue edit

On 12 February 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Gates of Heaven Synagogue, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the oldest surviving synagogue building in Wisconsin was almost razed in the 1970s? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Gates of Heaven Synagogue. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Gates of Heaven Synagogue), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
