Villagrán, Tamaulipas edit

Hi. Great job creating Mexican geographic article. You categorized Villagrán, Tamaulipas as both a town and a municipality. Are they exclusive of each other? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 22:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mexico talk edit

Hi Supaman

Are you sure it is a good idea to mention Corticopia? I don't think so.

Also you meant "leave", not "live".

I guess the beach in London was too cold for you. When everyone is wearing parkas on the beach it kind of ruins the effect.

Me again. The lady wrote in to help sort out the location thing for her 9 and 13 year old children. Do you really think it is helpful to them to get into the detail that you did?

Belize is in Central America, okay? I agree. But which continent is Belize in? Wanderer57 (talk) 18:24, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

And me again. So we agree that anything from Alaska to Panama is located in the North American continent. (Actually everything from Panama to the northern end of Canada, which is quite a bit further.)
The problem is you wrote: "All languages separate NA (Mex,Can,USA) from Central America." This makes it sound like ONLY Mexico, the US, and Canada are in North America. This is very confusing. Wanderer57 (talk) 18:40, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

We are going around in circles on this one. If it gets any worse I have to get into the tequila.
When you say: "All languages separate NA (Mex,Can,USA) from Central America." you know what you mean and I think I know what you mean but it is very confusing. You can't separate North America from Central America. CA is part of NA.
Would you mind if I edit this whole thing to make it simpler? Wanderer57 (talk) 19:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
She will be back. Probably she is not as addicted to this nonsense as you or I. ;o) Wanderer57 (talk) 15:53, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Duplicates edit

This & this, this & this, this & this... are they the same place? And if not, the distinction should be made clearer. Biruitorul (talk) 00:40, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Template:Mexican cities edit

Well, it's nice to know that you don't hate me (I seem to get that a lot). Now to let you know what's up. Can you only run your PC at 800x600, or can you change it? Because I run at 1024x768, so I can't really tell if it would look good on other settings. But I am looking into this situation, so no need to worry about it. But because my setting is the most used, and that is the only one I can use, it may come out somewhat better for your setting. Secondly, I looked through this template's history and found no trace of this. I don't know if this was a floop on Wikipedia's part or if this came from another site. But since I can't find it and don't know what it even does, I am sticking with the idea of keeping the tnavbar on that spot.

It's glad to know that we are not enemies. I have been going through a lot of crap here on Wikipedia that I can't tell who likes my work or doesn't like my work. ¿Habláis español? Yo no. Hablo ruso.NuclearVacuum 19:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry. I speak better Russian then Spanish. It's funny because I live in Florida too (funny). Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I have been looking into the issue, but I have been busy so it was hard for me. But after some calculations, I think having two images (instead of three) would help out more then the other way around. But now I am trying to find the proper size so it will fit. Maybe you can help me on that. ¡Adios!NuclearVacuum 01:44, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image:Superpowers21.png edit

I understand what you were trying to do and I am happy you find an interest in potential superpowers. But you just can't upload to someone else's work and call it yours or his. Especially since it was my copyrighted work.

I reverted and undid your piece because you tampered with WP:C. If you wish to add an image of your own design, please download a new one, not just change one's work and call it yours. — NuclearVacuum 23:36, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would say don't download it unless you wish to make a new article on "further possible superpowers." Simply because I noticed that you added Mexico to it, and Mexico isn't a potential superpower. But I do know it is somewhat a superpower (not to the extent of Russia or China), so I would actually promote having a separate section on the page talking about possible other superpowers like Japan, Australia, and Mexico. I can even help you out if you wish, because I did like your map (I just simply didn't want it if it meant removing mine. Would that be OK? — NuclearVacuum 00:24, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
P.S.: Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been online for a while now.

"New section" edit

Not to bother you, but I have some information that will make your messaging on talks easier. On the top of the page (next to the "edit this page" box) there is a box that says "new section." If you click it, it will automatically start a new section for you on the talk page. I only mention this because you are starting a new section by editing the last made discussion and making a new section manually. This is bad because we can't tell if you are messaging on that particular message, or making a new one. Just trying to help you out. Hope this will help you out. — NuclearVacuum 01:11, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template:United Kingdom cities edit

Hello there. It would mean a lot to me if you could help make an argument on the talk of the city template of the United Kingdom. I know that you are interested in the way these templates work and are interested in keeping them (to some extent) standard. Please make an argument on Template talk:United Kingdom cities#Consensus if you are intended on keeping some standards here. Please make a statement here and thank you very much. — NuclearVacuum 18:08, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mexico edit

Y por último, geopolíticamente North America es MX, US y CAN. No confundas el uso cultural que algunos le dan en inglés con el concepto geopolítico de North America, pues éste es siempre los tres países. En inglés, en chino o en francés, geopolíticamente NA son los tres países.

mexico map edit

Hello there, I've been off-line for a while and have only just seen the map with the mark around it in the discussion page on Mexico. I think this looks just grand.

If you want to go ahead and post it, I say "Why not?"

I thank you for doing that and ask your pardon for not responding sooner but personal stuff got in the way.

Map of the States of Mexico edit

This is a very clear, handsome piece of work. Two complaints: some of the smaller states are overlaid with abbreviations which are not those listed in the table immediately below the picture in the article "Mexico". Since those are official Mexican post office abbreviations, it might be best to use them. And secondly, the black dot that represents Mexico City seems to have migrated to an off-shore drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico; after a while, I figure out that the real City is on the other black dot. Why not just label the real dot as DF? Thanks for the map, and hope you can fix it. Norm mit (talk) 21:47, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yucatan cenotes edit

All right i actualy do have a photo of a cenote from last year and would be happy to post it. Also was thinking about adding a picture of some wind turbines in chiapas I do agree that the Pemex refinery was a bit dirty, I had planned to just use it as a temporary photo until i could upload some better photos and one last thing i think that the sierra madre picture might actualy look a bit nicer than the Cihuahua snowfall photo as it actualy shows the montains and apline setting of central Mexico which might better represent the diversity of mexico's many climates thanks for the tips and any input would be great:)-Veertlte —Preceding unsigned comment added by Veertlte (talkcontribs) 19:01, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

HOLA SUPAMAN89!!! edit

GRACIAS—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.38.54.115 (talk) 20:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

French article edit

Hello. Here is a short reply. I have not yet carefully looked at the last edits on fr:Mexique. On French Wikipedia there are a lot of people who do not like people speaking English. Most of them prefer that people speak Spanish. See for example here fr:Wikipédia:Le Bistro/Militantisme anti-anglais sur Wikipédia or more recently fr:Wikipédia:Le_Bistro/31_août_2008#Possible_vanity_article_and_autobiography So, that may strange people on fr: prefer Spanish to English. I personaly do not care. But I wanted to warn you on future unfreindly messages from other contributors.

I generally browse with image disabelled, so I may not notice imidiatelly the improvment on new images. You can contact me for any problem/suggestion/request for help/etc in English or Spanish. Hasta luego.--Youssef (talk) 12:07, 13 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

English article edit

Hello. I have seen that the number of inhabitants on the English article was 109 million. It is based on CIA factbook which in my humble opinion is not reliable. I have compared CIA factbook population number for other countries, e.g. Brasil and there are discrepancies with national official statistic bureaus. INEGI gives http://www.inegi.gob.mx/est/contenidos/espanol/proyectos/integracion/inegi324.asp?s=est&c=11722#tres 106.7 million inhabitants. Could you fix it by adding INEGI data? I think it is important to fix because a lot of Wikipedias in other languages base their content on the English one. Buenas fin de semana --Youssef (talk) 12:18, 13 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
