Regarding your NPR permission

edit

Hey, I saw that you were unsuccessful in applying for the new pages reviewer permission. This permission is generally only granted to editors who can demonstrate that they have a solid understanding of Wikipedia's article policies. Now, although you may have read all of the relevant policies, you may not have the experience in actually applying them. Here are a few places to start: the recent changes log, where recent edits to Wikipedia are made. You can browse through it and identify articles needing attention, other areas include the new pages log and the community portal. I wish you the best in your journey on Wikipedia. Zyc1174 chat? what I did 09:14, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Zyc1174, thanks.I very frequently use the new page area, and the recent changes log. I now will focus on using the policies and getting the edits so I can get the new page reviewer permission!

Invalid timestamp in your signature

edit

Hello! I noticed that with this edit, the timestamp of your signature was 24:18, 3 April 2018. It would seem you typed this in manually, because it is invalid. 24:18 would equate to 00:18, 4 April, but even so, your edit was actually made at 01:20. On Wikipedia, you can use the code ~~~~ to automatically put your signature instead of having to type it out. You can learn more at Wikipedia:Signatures#How to sign your posts. I know the Wikipedia discussion system isn't very intuitive, so sorry about that! There should also a button in your editing toolbar that looks like  , you can use this to sign your comments as well. Thanks!

Also, I see no one has formally welcomed you to Wikipedia. So, allow me to be the first! I have added some useful links to the top of this page that can help you learn more about how Wikipedia works. Thanks again MusikAnimal talk 03:08, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:07, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Jumpsuit Nico and the Niners.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jumpsuit Nico and the Niners.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:23, 18 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring board was not the place to go about that IP

edit

Regarding 80.41.170.172 (talk · contribs · WHOIS): WP:ANEW is for situations where articles are being edit warred over—that is, an editor is repeatedly reverting the article. Before the user is reported there, they need to be warned specifically about edit warring or the three-revert rule.

The IP's edits ran afoul of WP:No personal attacks. You could've left a templated warning to the user about their conduct; I did with {{uw-npa2}}. If they persist with the personal attacks, then you could report them to WP:ANI. —C.Fred (talk) 22:59, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. It does kind of hurt someone when they are called a fucking twat. I really wasn't thinking when I saw it so I did what I first though. Thanks. StarlightStratosphere (talk) 23:01, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Which is why I warned strongly when I saw them do it, so they no such conduct is not acceptable on here. —C.Fred (talk) 23:20, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

But misinformation is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.41.170.172 (talk) 23:25, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly; your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:26, 8 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

edit

Hi StarlightStratosphere! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|StarlightStratosphere|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Message delivered to you with love by Yapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contact my bot operator. | Sent at 18:01, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
