December 2022 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 17:11, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Good evening @Bbb23 , I hope you are well ? I allow myself to write to you because I noticed earlier that you blocked me for the following reason: Having abused several accounts. Before justifying myself, I still want to apologize for having created so many accounts on Wikipedia. The reason why I created all these accounts was, as I already explained previously, not to circumvent my previous ban but simply to be able to justify myself and write in the Discussion space. But my main account (and the one I use all the time) is Rio0601. All other accounts can be deleted if needed. However, since my last ban (beginning of November) I have behaved irreproachably and have asked the opinion of other Internet users before making any changes or when I have made any I have always explained them in the discussion area and I have repeatedly questioned myself about the relevance of my modifications. I therefore do not understand why you blocked me in writing and modicatioins and I would like to ask you to unblock me as soon as possible.
Awaiting your response, please accept my sincere thanks! Rio0601 (talk) 20:50, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please disclose all the accounts you have used.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:32, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Bbb23 , I hope you are well ? So of those I remember I have 3, one has the nickname Rio0601 (it's the one I use now and it's my main one) the second one has the nickname Asb.9301 and the last one has the nickname T7693. The last two are accounts that I had created to be able to continue to write and justify myself when I was blocked in writing but today they do not serve me any more and you can delete them if they pose problem. As for the changes made on the page Miss France 2023 of English Wikipedia made by Asb.9301, it is indeed me who modified, I had by mistake connected to Asb.9301 thinking I was connected to Rio0601 and I apologize. That's why I'm asking you to unblock my Rio0601 account in terms of modifications and writing, but also to delete my 2 accounts (Asb.9301 and T7693) which are no longer useful to me.
I hope to be unblocked as soon as possible (as soon as this afternoon would be great) and I would like to thank you in advance and apologize sincerely. I didn't think that creating several accounts would cause so many problems and believe me, I have understood how Wikipedia works and what are the do's and don'ts!
Sincerely Rio0601 (talk) 10:22, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Given the history of your two accounts (you have not used User:T7693 here, only at fr.wiki), at en.wiki, your explanations do not make sense. Indeed, your initial comments appear to address what happened at fr.wiki, not here. For example, you refer to your "last ban". Putting aside that bans are not the same as blocks, you have never been blocked at en.wiki. You were blocked at fr.wiki, and then after promising to use only one account, the blocking administrator, Harrieta171, unblocked you. Similarly, your statement about explaining "previously" has nothing to do with en.wiki. You have never explained anything here until now.

Plus, your justification for creating multiple accounts ("to be able to justify myself and write in the Discussion space") is not a legitimate reason for creating multiple accounts. Nor have you discussed your changes to the article before making them.

With your main account you started editing the article on November 28, continued on December 7-8, and it wasn't until December 9 that you started using the article Talk page (and while discussion was going on you continued to revert at the article).

In addition, your statement that you "mistakenly connected to Asb.9301" is not credible. You created Asb.9301 on December 9 at 09:58. You then made one edit to the article at 10:01. You then made 3 edits with the Rio account at 10:13, 10:16, and 11:01. All of the edits you made with both accounts were then reverted by another editor. Then you used the Asb.9301 account again at 13:25 and 13:40 to continue the edit war you were having with the other two users. In other words, you were editing with both accounts simultaneously. And your conduct was disruptive, hardly "irreproachable" behavior, even if you had been using only one account.

In short, I will not unblock you.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:26, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Bbb23 So first of all I thought you were asking me for all my accounts (English and French Wikipedia combined) that's why I mentioned T7693. Secondly, my account Asb.9301 is older than that and I can't have created it on December 9 as you claim, since on December 9 I did connect to Wikipedia but not to create an account, just to change an error I had seen (as I explained later in the discussion area, the place where the next election will be held, that of Miss France 2023 is the city of Déols and not Châteauroux). I explained my modification in the comment space but some smart guy is having fun each time re-modifying behind me. I'm sharing my last ban on French Wikipedia to prove to you that I made mistakes in the past, but that today I assume them and have not made them again since (you can ask @Harrieta171 to confirm). Please answer me as soon as possible. Rio0601 (talk) 14:39, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Twice now you have posted long comments in French. You are at en.wiki; therefore, you must write in English. If you post more comments in French, I will revoke Talk page access..--Bbb23 (talk) 15:49, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Harrieta171 , I hope you are well? I'm going to write you in English because if I don't, @Bbb23 will complain again. I am sending you this message because I have been banned again from writing and editing the English and French versions of Wikipedia for the following reason: Using multiple accounts. Since you unblocked me last time (early November if I don't say anything stupid) I have been behaving in an exemplary way on Wikipedia (I didn't modify the flag of Miss Ile-de-France on the French Wikipedia, on the discussion space of the Miss France 2023 article of the English version of Wikipedia I explained each of my modifications taking into account the opinion of the other users and I even gave them a few points acknowledging that some modifications I wanted to make were not necessarily the most relevant ones etc). I haven't reconnected to T7693 since you unblocked me last time and I've only reconnected to Asb.9301 once, which was yesterday inadvertently while thinking I was connecting to Rio0601. As I explained to you last time and as I am trying to explain to @Bbb23, my main account and the one I use is Rio0601 and the others can be deleted. So I am sending you this message because I would like to ask you 3 things: The first one is: can you unblock me to write and edit the French Wikipedia? The second one is: can you also unblock me to write and edit the English Wikipedia or convince @Bbb23 to unblock me? And the last thing I would like to ask is if my inactive accounts (T7693 and Asb.9301) can be deleted ?
Please accept my sincere thanks in advance and my deepest apologies for bothering you again, but I find it unfair to be penalized again because of my various accounts when I apologized for creating so many accounts, explained why I created them at the time, and have behaved well since. Especially since in the case of Miss France 2023, the change I want to make is really relevant and I can source it.
I look forward to your reply and thank you in advance. Rio0601 (talk) 16:05, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Tiloudeux Can you help me too please Rio0601 (talk) 16:48, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Tiloudeux, @Acalamari, @Harrieta171, could one of you please look into the unlocking request ? Rio0601 (talk) 18:00, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Unlocking of my account France-Pt9301 and my IP address edit

Request reason:

my France-Pt9301 Wikipedia account and IP address were first unblocked for 72 hours because I made changes to various articles (Miss France, the Vatican and the French language) by not providing enough sources or by doing it badly, and I got involved in an editing war. Then I was blocked permanently because I made an edit on the Miss France 2023 article concerning the location of the election while I was blocked (although I had OhnotitsJamie's agreement before editing and I was blocked because I would have tried to get around the block). I'll explain myself point by point on each subject: First of all, concerning the status of French in the Vatican, I added the information that French is an official language of the Vatican because the sources I found indicate that it is one of the official languages. Other Internet users have quoted me sources indicating that only Latin and Italian are official, and since the sources disagree, I shouldn't add French without prior discussion.But out of chauvinism, no doubt, and also because I was stubbornly convinced I was right, I systematically postponed my change. I shouldn't have done that, and I apologize. As far as Miss France is concerned, I added Thierry Baumann as a presenter because he is described as such by various French media but I understand that since he only appears at the end of the evening, some may not consider him a presenter and I apologize for adding my modification again and participating in an editing war, I won't do it again and will exchange with other Internet users on the page in the future. As for the location of the Miss France 2023 and Miss France 2018 elections, both events were held at the M.A.CH 36 venue in Déols, as confirmed by numerous sources and the venue's official website. It's fine if we put "in Déols, north of Châteauroux" so that readers can find their way around more easily, but the name Déols must appear to be geographically correct. Overall, I would like to apologize for my behavior. I realized that he was anti-collaborative and that he was not the best and intends in the future to participate in a collaborative manner with other Internet users, and to debate with them if one of my modifications makes debate.For this account, the Rio0601 account is mine. It's an old account I'd created a long time ago, but at some point I couldn't remember the password and couldn't log in. That's why I then created the France-Pt9301 account, which I've been using for almost a year now, and I no longer use the Rio0601 account at all, which was created after I forgot my password and not to get around a block. But if the Rio0601 account poses a problem, I can delete it. It is for this reason that I am sending you this email to ask you for tolerance and to unblock my France-Pt9301 account and my IP address or forward my request to people who can act (I gives you at the end of the message my IP address, my blocking number and the sources for the M.A.CH 36 room where the elections of Miss France 2023 and Miss France 2018 were held). I thank you for taking the time to read my message and hope for action on your part. sincerely and sorry again France-Pt9301 [1]https://www.mach36.fr/la-salle/ [2]https://www.lanouvellerepublique.fr/indre/miss-france-2023-la-soiree-en-direct-du-mach-36-a-chateauroux [3]https://www.leberry.fr/bourges-18000/loisirs/miss-france-2023-a-chateauroux-retour-en-terrain-connu_14234101/ Rio0601 (talk) 18:53, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Rio0601 (talk) 18:53, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

You don't get to remove comments from other users regarding an open block request. Do that again and you will lose talk page access. Given the prior WP:BATTLEGROUND issues and ongoing block evasion from this user around multiple topic areas (Miss France pageants as wells as French language and Vatican City I don't see how an unblock would benefit the project. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:49, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Ohnoitsjamie I didn't know I wasn't allowed to delete posts related to my unblocking request on my talk page. On the French Wikipedia, the discussion page is personal to the user, who is free to delete any messages he or she wishes. I apologize and will not delete your message again. On the other hand, in response to your message, I've made the change about where the Miss France 2023 election was held for two reasons: The first is that geographically speaking, it's more correct to be Déols since the M.A.CH 36 hall where the election was held is in Déols, as confirmed by numerous sources I can quote, and secondly because I thought I had the right to do so having had your permission beforehand (you told me "I don't have a problem with that"). This was done to correct an error and not to get around the blockage (if it had been to get around the blockage, I would have put Thierry Baumann back as presenter, for example). Overall, as I said in my unblocking request, I recognize that my behavior may have been anti-collaborative and I apologize for that. I intend to change it in the future. I think you can try to understand me and give me a second chance. Rio0601 (talk) 19:50, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did not give you "permission" to evade your block and do that; the point was that particular change wasn't a concern to me with regards to the block. My concern was rather all of the other edit-warring and WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT behavior. You weren't blocked because you tweaked the name of a city; you were blocked because you were waging edit wars across several fronts with an account that was evading a previous block for similar issues. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:07, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I interpreted your quote "The modification does not pose a problem to me" as a permission to modify but if this was not the case I apologize, this misunderstanding is due to a bad interpretation on my part. Regarding the editing wars, yes I did indeed participate in editing wars out of chauvinism and because I was convinced that I was right. But I have since realized that my behavior had been anti-collaborative, that I should have exchanged with other Internet users on the discussion pages when one of my modifications was debated and not imposed my modification as I did. I did. However, I want to set the record straight about one thing, the France-Pt9301 account was not created to circumvent the blocking of the previous Rio0601 account but simply because I no longer remembered the password for the Rio0601 account . In any case, in the future I plan to improve my behavior, exchange more with other Internet users, not force myself to be forced and collaborate responsibly as I do on the French Wikipedia, which Harietta171 can confirm. As the saying goes, a mistake confessed is half forgiven. Rio0601 (talk) 21:04, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also, opening new WP:UTRS tickets from your old account while this appeal is open (and has only been open for a few days) is not a sound strategy. We're not on a deadline to review your appeal. This kind of behavior further reinforces the notion that you are a net drain on resources here. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:28, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@OhnoitsjamieI created request tickets because no one was responding to the unblocking request made on my talk page. I would not have created these tickets if I had been assured that my unblocking request had been received. Afterwards, the fact that I request request tickets has no relation to the content that I post on Wikipedia and this does not reproach me in the case of the study of my request for unblocking dear @Daniel Case. I reiterate my request for unblocking and ask you to give me a chance to prove my good faith by unblocking and re-blocking me at the slightest mistake. Rio0601 (talk) 17:28, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
More block evasion decreases you chances of ever being unblocked here. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:36, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Good evening @Ohnoitsjamie . I have indeed modified the articles on Miss France 2018 and 2023 to add Déols because that's where these two elections were held (as mentioned by numerous sources that I can cite) and also because Wikipedia, whether in English, French or any other language, must be as correct as possible. However, I've left the name Châteauroux to make it easier for Internet users to find their way around, and also because many media outlets mention the name of Châteauroux . Yes, by making these changes I've evaded a block, but I've done it to add information that's true, sourced and that doesn't cause debate (I haven't received any messages from users who disagree with me, either on my Rio0601 account or on the discussion page of the articles in question), so apart from evading a block, tell me what's bothering you about this information ?
I'd also like to point out that I haven't modified any other articles and that, apart from this modification, my behavior has been exemplary for 2 weeks now. I repeat my request to unblock my account and my IP address with a trial period. Rio0601 (talk) 20:44, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Banned edit

I have   Confirmed your most recent sock. You are now considered banned by the community under WP:3X due to your continued block evasion. No admin is free to unilaterally lift your ban. I very strongly suggest not going down the path of WP:UNBAN until you've gone at least six months without any further evasion. You'll almost certainly need to propose a WP:TOPICBAN on Miss France, broadly construed, given your history of abuse in that subject area. --Yamla (talk) 21:10, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
