Image copyright problem with Image:Tookie_dead.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tookie_dead.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 02:09, 3 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

99.5 RT edit

Hello. I just finished editing what you wrote about 99.5 RT. Much of what you put on that page is hearsay. Let me start off by saying I work for the on-air department of the station. I've spent a total of almost 12 years there, so I'd like to think my knowledge of the station and its history is accurate.

Real Radio Network is the name of the corporation that owns DWRT-FM. It is not a subsidiary of Quest Broadcasting. Quest is the owner of DWTM-FM and the provincial network of Killer Bee stations. Real Radio and Quest are two distintly different entities. The only thing they have in common is that both stations are overseen by a management consultancy group, The Radio Partners, Inc. Any reference to the contrary by other people, is mere misinformation.

DWKX-FM is owned by Advanced Media Broadcasting and is also overseen by The Radio Partners. Unlike K-Lite, RT is not reformatting. It will continue to be a CHR station in 2007. Posting rumors about us does not seem to be fair.

Please give us a call if you feel you need to clarify anything that pertains to our station.

RT's original owner is Trans-Radio Broadcasting Corp. and not Trans-Pacific. Get the facts straight, try asking next time. Some people who still work for DWRT-FM now, worked for the Tuasons as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Morpheuzzz (talkcontribs) 08:54, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Recent Speedy Tags edit

You applied {{db-bio}} tags to a number of Philippine reporter articles. Being a reporter can be in itself a claim of notability depending upon their viewership. As such, these articles are more appropriate for WP:PROD or WP:AFD and I have removed the speedy tags. Another user had tagged these with {{afd}}, but had never completed steps 2 or 3 of the AFD nomination process. Therefore, I had to remove those tags as well. Feel free to use PROD or AFD if you still believe these should be deleted. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank. -- JLaTondre 21:39, 26 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Recent Chicago Fire edits edit

I reverted your edits to the squad section for the Chicago Fire article. You added back in both that Cuauhtemoc Blanco is a free transer, and a speculative month in which he'd play in. The latter is subject to change because Chicago is letting him finish his season with America, and that could either be this month (April) or the next (May). Both Mediotiempo and Univision.com - both very reliable sources - say that he's being paid around $2 million to go to Chicago Fire. If you find a source that says he's a free tranfer, cite it. Otherwise, leave that section as it is. --DethFromAbove 15:47, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Just a heads up, there is no such term as "caretaker" mayor. Under the Local Government Code of the Philippines (RA ), if a mayor leaves office or is removed from his position by legal means, the vice mayor takes over as mayor, normally in an acting capacity. ABL edit

Hello! I realise you created the roster page. Well done! I'll do my part to update it with all the info that I can possibility find, from various sources.

But there's a slight problem.

Because the template is going to be for current squad, we will have problem once the season ends, and when the next season comes, the update done on the template will affect the previous season page.

I have thought of copying and pasting the template on the page, but that will cause trouble updating. Even if we do that at the end of the season, we risk losing some info should there be any changes to the roster in the middle of the season.

Just sharing my point of view, hopefully we can makes things better together here! Frankie goh (talk) 09:37, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

"City of..." edit

I noticed that you moved Carcar and Bogo to "City of Carcar" and "City of Bogo", but I don't see a discussion. Does anyone actually call them by those longer names? Per the general naming conventions and WP:PLACE, we should strive for the most commonly used names, even if they are the official names.   Will Beback  talk  07:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

To take Bogo as an example, the article can't be moved to that name alone because "Bogo" refers to several different things, and the city is not the obviously predominant use. The name it had before, Bogo, Cebu, seemed adequate.   Will Beback  talk  09:56, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Elmer Espiritu.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Elmer Espiritu.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Legislative district of Imus edit

A tag has been placed on Legislative district of Imus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. --Scorpion prinz (Talk | contribs) 07:44, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Philippine legislative districts. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.   Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You made several changes of "head coach", which is the normal term in North America, to "manager". This goes against the club's own sources. Walter Görlitz (talk) 13:13, 24 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Tiger 22 Media Corporation edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tiger 22 Media Corporation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. signed, Rosguill talk 22:56, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Regarding speedy deletion--  Tiger 22 Media Corporation edit

Hello, Reyrefran. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but a page you created  Tiger 22 Media Corporation has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information. Someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.

Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.

The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process.

You may find this tool useful for finding sources: Google custom search

Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too. You can ask for help at the TEAHOUSE

October 2022 edit

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Leni Robredo, you may be blocked from editing. Chlod (say hi!) 09:47, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've raised my points as to why VP Leni's article is being edited: to show that she is still a public figure in the Philippines and is still relevant through her Angat Buhay Foundation, which she chairs. I stand by my edits and I maintain that I'm not into disruptive editing, which you FALSELY accuse me of! Reyrefran (talk) 10:02, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Leni Robredo. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Note that other articles may be incorrect and cannot be used to justify edit warring. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 36 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Case (talk) 20:53, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
