Testing the waters on Blood Knights

I've been doing articles on XBLA games for several years now, and I've been getting better it over time. I've recently brought Blood Knights up to GA level, and it's the first article I've done that I feel might been a viable candidate for Featured Article. Before I move forward with that, however, I wanted to ask you and a few other people that are involved in video game FACs what their thoughts are on the matter. In short, does the article have a realistic chance of going through FAC successfully? How much work would it take to be at that level? Your thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated. I am working on a new article for the soundtracks of Final Fantasy XIV and its reboot/remake/sequel A Realm Reborn. Looking at it, it's hardly perfect, but I've put new articles out in far worse condition. I think we can safely do it, and it shouldn't be long before we can upgrade it to GA standard. Advice needed

Hi, PresN, I think I need advice. After this year's E3 has come and gone (I have high hopes of new developments there), I'm thinking of putting Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy up as a GAN (it's by no means a solid plan: Drakengard in general is far higher and more concrete on my long-term priority list). I've been doing a little work on it today, and it's looking alright. But I'm still not happy with the "Titles" section. It seems too clunky, and it's not helped by the nature of the series. I tried modelling it after the article for Kingdom Hearts, but it's still not right. It isn't linked by common gameplay or a single story. All that unites it is that mythos, which is covered as thoroughly as it can be in another section. The trouble is, since I can't find any comparable article or series in Wikipedia, I don't know how to rearrange or rewrite it. Could you give advice, and maybe lend a helping hand? Okay, something different. User:Judgesurreal777 contacted me and suggested I put some of the articles I had worked on a lot up for GA review. Among those he pointed out in a later post was Music of Final Fantasy XIV. As you were also a substantial contributor to this article, I felt that I should consult you about the article's viability for nomination before taking any steps in the matter. WikiCup 2014 April newsletter

Round 3 of the 2014 WikiCup has just begun; 32 competitors remain. Pool G's Adam Cuerden (submissions) was Round 2's highest scorer, with a large number of featured picture credits. In March/April, he restored star charts from Urania's Mirror, lithographs of various warships (such as SMS Gefion) and assorted other historical media. Second overall was Pool E's Godot13 (submissions), whose featured list Silver certificate (United States) contains dozens of scans of banknotes recently promoted to featured picture status. Third was Pool G's ChrisGualtieri (submissions) who has produced a large number of good articles, many, including Falkner Island, on Connecticut-related topics. Other successful participants included Cliftonian (submissions), who saw three articles (including the top-importance Ian Smith) through featured article candidacies, and Caponer (submissions), who saw three lists (including the beautifully-illustrated list of plantations in West Virginia) through featured list candidacies. High-importance good articles promoted this round include narwhal from Reid,iain james (submissions), tiger from Cwmhiraeth (submissions) and The Lion King from Igordebraga (submissions). We also saw our first featured topic points of the competition, awarded to Czar (submissions) and Red Phoenix (submissions) for their work on the Sega Genesis topic. No points have been claimed so far for good topics or featured portals.

192 was our lowest qualifying score, again showing that this WikiCup is the most competitive ever. In previous years, 123 (2013), 65 (2012), 41 (2011) or 100 (2010) secured a place in Round 3. Pool H was the strongest performer, with all but one of its members advancing, while only the two highest scorers in Pools G and F advanced. At the end of June, 16 users will advance into the semi-finals. hi presn, please note that there are some errors in the way you handled the "dokodemo chokobo" portion of this article

dokodemo chokobo 3.5 doesn't exist, there are the first part and the "sequel" part of dokodemo chokobo 3, the first part and the "sequel" part of dokodemo chokobo 2, and another game, dokodemo chokobo 2.5, which is a separate game (a true sequel) continuing the story of dokodemo chokobo 2. the "false sequels" were just the second parts of the games, with the same title and available on the same release date. dc 2.5 had a different title and was released almost a year later than dc2.the only other reference i found is here

Lightning Returns has passed its GA review. But since I uploaded a new image for the article to replace the original gameplay image in the article, I believe that means that you have to do an Image Review on that image as well. Improving Transistor (video game) to FA.

I had checked out this article for the game Transistor (developed by Supergiant Games, who created Bastion), and it's in poor shape: Gameplay details overshadowed by plot section, too little information about the development and reception, and not enough references. I want you to improve the "Transistor (video game)" article to GA status, then you can take it up to FA quality. WikiCup 2014 June newsletter

After an extremely close race, Round 3 is over. 244 points secured a place in Round 4, which is comparable to previous years- 321 was required in 2013, while 243 points were needed in 2012. Pool C's Godot13 (submissions) was the round's highest scorer, mostly due to a 32 featured pictures, including both scans and photographs. Also from Pool C, Casliber (submissions) finished second overall, claiming three featured articles, including the high-importance Grus (constellation). Third place was Pool B's , whose contributions included featured articles Russian battleship Poltava (1894) and Russian battleship Peresvet. Pool C saw the highest number of participants advance, with six out of eight making it to the next round.

The round saw this year's first featured portal, with Sven Manguard (submissions) taking Portal:Literature to featured status. The round also saw the first good topic points, thanks to 12george1 (submissions) and the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season. This means that all content types have been claimed this year. Other contributions of note this round include a featured topic on Maya Angelou's autobiographies from Figureskatingfan (submissions), a good article on the noted Czech footballer Tomáš Rosický from Cloudz679 (submissions) and a now-featured video game screenshot, freely released due to the efforts of Sven Manguard (submissions).

The judges would like to remind participants to update submission pages promptly. This means that content can be checked, and allows those following the competition (including those participating) to keep track of scores effectively. This round has seen discussion about various aspects of the WikiCup's rules and procedures. Those interested in the competition can be assured that formal discussions about how next year's competition will work will be opened shortly, and all are welcome to voice their views then. So I was looking through the archives of the Signpost to read anything they had on Featured Topics and came across this little number. Yeah I do my best to keep the project running as strongly as it is. Requesting delegation for FTC was probably the best idea to keep it relevant. Though I do think Wizardman helped significantly while he was still a delegate. But seeing how much it changed is something. Especially the percentile to be a Featured Topic changing other and other. Lightning consultation needed (from someone whose feeling biased)

I am thinking of bringing Lightning up as FAN at some point in the future (not the near-future mark you, as I want to take it easy for a while in the article nomination department) and I need another opinion on it. Apart from the usual things, there's something else: the article on Aerith Gainsborough has a section concerning the character's music, and as comments have been made on Lightning's leitmotif Blinded by Light, should there be a section for it there, or is the article looking too big already? I realize that I may have been obsessing over this article a bit, but I want it to be as good as it possibly can be. And anyway, bringing a character article to featured status is a nice challenge. Hey, Pres, how's it going! I was wondering if you could help me with Sleeping Dogs (video game) since I really need help with it. WikiProject Good articles Future GAN Backlog Drive

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been having a great summer!

TheQ Editor recently proposed the idea of having another Backlog Drive in either September/October or November/December of this year. For those of you who have participated in the past two drives you know I was the one who organized them, however, come September, this will be my most important year in school so I will not be able to coordinate this drive (if it happens). TheQ Editor has volunteered to be a coordinator for the drive. If any of you would like to co-coordinator, please notify TheQ Editor on his talk page.

If you would be interested in participating in a Backlog Drive sometime before the end of this year, please notify TheQ Editor. Also, make sure to specify what month(s) work best for you.

At the time this message was sent out, the backlog was at 520 nominations. Since May, the backlog has been steadily increasing and we are currently near an all time high. Even though the backlog will not disappear over one drive, this drive can lead to several others which will (hopefully) lead to the day where there is no longer a backlog.

As always, the more participants, the better, and everyone is encouraged to participate!

The material on pages 78-80 may not be as helpful as I'd hoped. They are printed in the section where reviews are normally found so I expected a review, but this is more like a walk-through... The scoring chart on Pg.22 may be more helpful, though. Let me know if it's too blurry and I can clarify any words. The scoring system for GameFan is such that 4 staff members individually rate the game and then all 4 scores are printed. This is similar to ho Famitsu does its cross reviews if you're familiar with that magazine. The four scores for this review are credited (in order from left to right) to Skid, Sgt. Gamer, K. Lee, and The Enquirer. "Skid" is the nom de plume of Dave Halverson, "K. Lee" is Kelly Rickards, and "The Enquirer" is Andrew Cockburn. You know what, I just found a Secret of Mana "prescreen" (AKA preview) in the December 1993 issue of Edge. It's not in the article yet, but it may have some development info. Here (alt with better formatting) is the LEVEL article from issue 6, translated into English. If you're concerned about the reliability of the translation, just ask a Wikipedian who speaks Swedish to verify the relevant passages. Ahead of the scans, which should be up later tonight, here are some online LOM sources that might be useful. (Three of the OPMs you asked for are available in the Internet Archive.)

There are solid details about the game and its production timeline in these, but nothing concrete about its development. Ditto for all of the material I have yet to scan. From my Googling, it seems that your best bet might be the Ultimania companion book, which I saw used as a development source on the JAWP LOM article. Good luck finding it, though. @Czar: Tanaka interviews at [3], [4], and [5]; official website at [6]. Found these by checking out VGMOnline (formerly Square Enix Music Online)'s biography page (not in and of itself a reliable source) at [7], then jumping through to his VGMDB (user-generated, so non-RS) to see if there were more links there. @Czar:, @Dissident93: - Lets try to keep all of the discussion in one place, so I'm pinging you both to here. Anyway, WP:VG/RS says that SEMO/VGMO is considered a reliable source for their interviews and album reviews/information, but not for their biography pages. If I remember correctly, this is because their bio pages are just basically an unreferenced wikipedia article that merges together a bunch of (uncited) sources. Editors are encouraged to instead track down those sources and cite them directly. That said, it's been years and years since that entry was made, and I can see arguments that if Greening is fact-checking those bios then they could be cited- not to mention that SEMO/VGMO has grown more and more reliable as a source as time has gone by. Dissident93- you mention in your revert edit summary that "Chris Greening directly contacts all of the people he writes for" - any proof of that or that he edits/factchecks the biographies? --PresN 01:13, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

@PresN: GMO does cite their sources, check the bottom of the profile pages. Greening does directly contact many of the composers (as do some of the other staff on the site, as seen with the photo here), but you are also correct in saying that he mainly fact checks other sources and compiles them from there. Because of this, I've replaced the references on the Hirokazu Tanaka page with the original sources.

And secondly, how can album reviews/information from SEMO/GMO be a reliable source, but not VGMdb? There are a lot of factual errors on SEMO due to VGMdb not existing at the time. 95% of the info submitted to VGMdb comes directly from the liner notes of the albums, and a lot of the info there can't be found anywhere else on the web. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 01:41, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

@Dissident93: VGMdb isn't reliable because it's user-submitted- I've contributed some stuff myself. It's certainly the most accurate source by far, and I trust it implicitly, but a user-submitted site can't be an RS. Do note that you can cite the liner notes of an album directly, for information like about which composer did which track; if its factual information that's on the album itself its fine to source it directly if you can't find a more easily available source. --PresN 02:29, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

GA Cup

Hello everyone! We hope you have all been having a great summer!

As we all know, the recent GAN Backlog Drives have not had any big impact on the backlog. Because of that, me (Dom497), Figureskatingfan, and TheQ Editor have worked on an idea that could possibly finally put a dent into the massive backlog. Now, I will admit, the idea isn't entirely ours as we have took the general idea of the WikiCup and brought it over to WikiProject Good Articles. But anyways, here's what we have in mind:

For all of you that do not know what the WikiCup is, it is an annual competition between several editors to see who can get the most Good Articles, Featured Article's, Did You Know's, etc. Based of this, we propose to you the GA Cup. This competition will only focus on reviewing Good articles.

For more info on the proposal, click here. As a FYI, the proposal page is not what the final product will look like (if you do go ahead with this idea). It will look very similar to WikiCup's page(s).

The discussion for the proposal will take place here. Please let us know if you are interested, have any concerns, things to consider, etc.

WikiCup 2014 August newsletter

The final of the 2014 WikiCup begins in a few short minutes! Our eight finalists are listed below, along with their placement in Round 4:

1. Godot13 (submissions), a WikiCup newcomer, finished top of Pool A and was the round's highest scorer. Godot is a featured picture specialist, claiming large numbers of points due to high-quality scans of historical documents, especially banknotes.
2. Casliber (submissions) is a WikiCup veteran, having been a finalist every year since 2010. In the semi-final, he was Pool B's highest scorer. Cas's points primarily come from articles on the natural sciences.
3. Czar (submissions) was Pool A's runner-up. Czar's points come mostly from content related to independent video games, including both articles and topics.
4. Adam Cuerden (submissions) was Pool B's runner-up. Another featured picture specialist, many of Adam's points come from the restoration of historical media. He has been a WikiCup finalist twice before.
5. Cwmhiraeth (submissions) won the WikiCup in 2012 and 2013, and enters this final as the first wildcard. She focuses on biology-related articles, and has worked on several high-importance articles.
6. 12george1 (submissions) is the second wildcard. George's points come primarily from meteorology-related articles. This year and last year, George was the first person in the competition to score.
7. Sturmvogel 66 (submissions), the third wildcard, was the 2010 champion and a finalist last year. His writes mostly on military history, especially naval history.
8. Bloom6132 (submissions), the fourth and final wildcard, has participated in previous WikiCups, but not reached any finals. Bloom's points are mostly thanks to did you knows, featured lists and good articles related to sport and national symbols.

We say goodbye to this year's semi-finalists. Matty.007 (submissions), ThaddeusB (submissions), WikiRedactor (submissions), Figureskatingfan (submissions), Yellow Evan (submissions), Prism (submissions) and Cloudz679 (submissions) have all performed well to reach this stage of the competition, and we hope they will all be joining us again next year.

There are two upcoming competitions unrelated to the WikiCup which may be of interest to those who receive this newsletter. The Stub Contest will run through September, and revolves around expanding stub articles, especially high-importance or old stubs. In addition, a proposal has been made for a new competition, the GA Cup, which the organisers plan to run next year. This competition is based on the WikiCup and aims to reduce the good article review backlog.

There is now a thread for brainstorming on how next year's WikiCup competition should work. Please come along and share your thoughts- What works? What doesn't work? What needs changing? Signups for next year's competition will be open soon; we will be in touch. If, at this stage of the competition, you are keen to help the with the WikiCup, please do what you can to participate in review processes. Our finalists will find things much easier if the backlogs at good article candidates, featured article candidates, featured picture candidates and the rest are kept at a minimum. WikiProject Good Articles - GA Cup

WikiProject Good Articles's 2014-15 GA Cup WikiProject Good articles is holding a new competition, the GA Cup, from October 1, 2014 - March 28, 2015. The Cup will be based on reviewing Good article nominations; for each review, points will be awarded with bonuses for older nominations, longer articles and comprehensive reviews. All participants will start off in one group and the highest scoring participants will go through to the second round. Lightning Returns music

I've been having a little round and recently added information from an interview about the game's soundtrack. Looking at it now, the second is looking a little bulky. When do you think we could make an article concerning it that could become a GA in the future? I've noted that there are two reviews for the main soundtrack (plus a few mentions in normal reviews), one review for the Plus soundtrack, but nothing on the promotional Pre-Soundtrack album. There are also the three digital singles. If there isn't enough, we can leave it as it is, but I was looking at the article for X-2's soundtrack and thought that it managed with comparatively little when it came to soundtrack development. --ProtoDrake (talk) 13:59, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 September newsletter

In one month's time, we will know our WikiCup 2014 champion. Newcomer Godot13 (submissions) has taken a strong lead with a featured list (historical coats of arms of the U.S. states from 1876) and a raft of featured pictures. AfD is only for deletion discussions and it is not for cleanup. If the nominator doesn't have the intent of deleting the article, it shouldn't be brought there. Anyone who wants to expand a redirect can go for it. AfD shouldn't be used as a pretense to cleanup an article. It's not fair to put the burden of making an article minimally presentable on other editors (whether at AfD or in any other forum), especially when the original author knows how to write a few basic sentences on the topic to assert its notability (so as not to require the systemic input from other users). This is all to say that I don't think anyone would have as much of an issue with the rampant stubbing as long as each article took some effort to minimally describe the gameplay and reception as more than copy-pasted Metacritic snippets. czar ♔ 13:55, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Whether or not you like how small each of those stubs are, they are on notable games and there is enough there to assert notability. If you understand that having a Metacritic article means at the very least 4 critics have analysed/reviewed/critiqued the game, then you have no justification behind getting rid of it. Going for breadth over depth, of course none of these articles are going to be GA right off the bat. Many editors artificially buff up articles by adding tonnes of unreferences trivia. I haven't done that and have instead included only a few lines that concisely give the basic facts - exactly what Wikipedia should have at this stage. Unfortunately many editors here would rather delete or redirect rather than click the edit button and actually improve. Coin, it's hypocritical to say that WP is in dark times because editors redirect instead of writing the article when you, yourself, chose to write one-sentence stubs instead of writing the articles. As the community has responded, we have a clear consensus to redirect or move one-sentence articles on topics of borderline notability rather than leaving them as dozens of stubs. My comment was merely about the point of AfD. I'll add that even with four-critic reviews, if the coverage is still weak or unreliable, the topic may be better off deleted than kept. We're just asking that a little more care is taken when creating these. It shouldn't be seen as a slight on you, and hopefully you could modify your practices to match community consensus czar ♔ 14:53, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

@Coin945: You created about 150 2-line stubs. Upon being told that you needed to do a bit better than that if you were going to create an article, something you know perfectly well since you work at Articles for Creation, you agreed to go back and expand them a bit- not into GAs, but into a solid stub. First you went through about 15-20 and added a few quotes from reviews (but not, say, a description of what genre of game it was). Upon further complaints, you now at least add that, plus an infobox (though not categories, or the right stub tag). To... about 10 articles. Leaving over 100 of your original 2-line stubs behind. You then... kind of stopped cleaning up your mess, and just worked on one article in a draft. Only now that I'm redirecting articles as I come across them in a cleanup category are you complaining, and after doing 5 or so, you're now complaining not just that I shouldn't redirect them, but that I should take them to AfD so that other people will fix them for you. You're still trying to make other people do the work to get your articles to a bare minimum state while refusing to actually put in the work yourself. Heck, you still won't actually tag your article's talk pages after being asked several times, we're having to follow your contributions list to find them.

Tl;dr: you've shown that you care so little about these 2-line articles that you are completely unwilling to clean them up to an acceptable minimum standard. No, I'm not going to try to beg other people on your behalf to clean them up for you. --PresN 15:26, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

These aren't my articles. I am merely one fleshy being who has decided to try to help Wikipedia so had done his little bit. Of course I can't greatly improve every single one of these articles all my myself. That is what a community is for. We work *together* to help this Wikipedia grow. And if that means some articles start off as stubs, then so be it. That is the Wikipedia philosophy. I am not asking other people to improve my articles. It is disrespectful of this so-called community to insinuate that others should share your prerogative. No one "makes" anyone else do their bidding, and you would feel just as encroached upon if I were to ask you to clean up (or expand) a bunch of one-sentence stubs from another era. The WP philosophy is to build articles together with as little friction as possible. It should be abundantly clear at this point that the one-sentence stub strategy creates unwanted friction. I expected a little more from the Video Games Wikiproject who are obviously more experienced in working on these types of articles than I. The infoboxes and categories and templates have been awesome - that's the sort of maintenance work I can never wrap my head around. But the notion that current article is more important than potential is something I absolutely believe goes against core Wikipedia principles. But whatever... it seems you guys have your own opinions on this issue and I'm not about to change them. I tend to hop about Wikipedia doing different things, and I've recently lost interest in iOS articles. I'm gonna do something else, maybe not on Wikipedia at all. Will You Consider Overturning My Ban?

Hi PresN, excuse me for ban-evading via an IP address to ask you to consider unbanning me, but I don't see any other choice. I was permanently blocked more than two years ago on charge of sockpuppetry, which I deny. I am asking you and three other administrators to look at it. I just picked you off the list, checking only that you were recently active.

I need to keep this invitation neutral, so the best thing is just to point you to my RFC/U (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Colton_Cosmic#Statement_of_the_dispute). I can't restrain myself from saying that the RFC/U was kidnapped by my long-term hounders, and that I was denied the ability to speak in my own defense (unheard of in RFC/Us and against their clear instructions.

I'll also risk saying, but judge for yourself, that I never socked Wikipedia, and that an injustice has been perpetrated against me.

WikiCup 2014: The results

The 2014 WikiCup champion is Godot13 (submissions), who flew the flag of the Smithsonian Institution. This was Godot13's first WikiCup competition and, over the 10 months of the competition, he has produced (among other contributions) two featured lists and an incredible 292 featured pictures, including architectural photographs and scans of historical documents. Cwmhiraeth (submissions), 2012 and 2013 WikiCup champion, came in second, having written a large number of biology-related articles. Casliber (submissions), WikiCup finalist every year since 2010, finished in third.

WikiCup 2015 is just around the corner...

Hello everyone, and may we wish you all a happy holiday season. As you will probably already know, the 2015 WikiCup begins in the new year; there is still time to sign up. We have a few important announcements concerning the future of the WikiCup.

• We would like to announce that Josh (J Milburn) and Ed (The ed17), who have been WikiCup judges since 2009 and 2010 respectively, are stepping down. This decision has been made for a number of reasons, but the main one is time. Both Josh and Ed have found that, over the previous year, they have been unable to devote the time necessary to the WikiCup, and it is not likely that they will be able to do this in the near future. Furthermore, new people at the helm can only help to invigorate the WikiCup and keep it dynamic. Josh and Ed will still be around, and will likely be participating in the Cup this following year as competitors, which is where both started out.
• In a similar vein, we hope you will all join us in welcoming Jason (Sturmvogel 66) and Christine (Figureskatingfan), who are joining Brian (Miyagawa) to form the 2015 WikiCup judging team. Jason is a WikiCup veteran, having won in 2010 and finishing in fifth this year. Christine has participated in two WikiCups, reaching the semi-finals in both, and is responsible for the GA Cup, which she now co-runs.
• The discussions/polls concerning the next competition's rules will be closed soon, and rules changes will be made clear on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring and talk pages. While it may be impossible to please everyone, the judges will make every effort to ensure that the new rules are both fair and in the best interests of the competition, which is, first and foremost, about improving Wikipedia.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Hi.

Everytime I see an admin making such edits as revision #638327161, I am caught by complete surprise. I don't know why; somehow, I imagine admins as people who don't mistake. Anyway, the problem with your edit is not purposelessly moving some words around. (I never revert such edits because if I did, I'd be doing some purposeless moving myself.) It is the mistakes that is the ground for the revert.

You keep mentioning "the game" but what game? (You have forgotten to mention that FFVII is a video game.) Geostigma is not incurable; the film itself and On The Way to A Smile establish that. Cloud has not distanced himself because of Aerith's death; in fact, Marlene mentions exactly why in the Complete edition of the film. (Also, On The Way to A Smile mentions his work mandated that he remain away for prolonged periods of time.) But yes, he is nevertheless haunted.

By the way, you never need to insert an explicit § into the {{See also}} and its siblings. It automatically replaces # with §.

Hello again

It is great that you wish to improve the article to FA level; I will help; perhaps I will participate in its review too. I am even ready to be generous about how you interpret the story because, apparently, everyone is divided about it. But frankly, I've been in FACR before and I must say it is brutal. There are things that I cannot overlook:

• Citations: Incorrect use of |publisher= and |website=/|work= is not tolerated. Example: GameSpot is a work/website. Its publisher is CBS Interactive. Destructoid is the website/work; its publisher is ModernMethod.
• Citations: Article must consistently use either {{cite news}} or {{cite web}} for web citations; a mixture of both is not acceptable. Since 2014, these two accept virtually the same input and their output is almost the same but not completely. This is a point that is previously brought up by the former administrator Nikkimaria in two FAN discussions that I participated.
• Clunky prose: FA is legendary for not accepting redundancies like repeatedly attributing the same thing to the "game" in the same paragraph successively. In addition, Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view, not from a neutralized point of view. e.g. Cloud and Sephiroth didn't oppose each other (that's what Wikipedians who love each other do); they fought to slit throat.
• Blatant plot mistakes: I said I'd be generous about the plot, but that doesn't mean I'd accept mistakes like saying Marlene was a boy. The generosity extends to using Mako and Lifestream interchangeably once, referring to Aerith as Cloud's girlfriend (riot alert!) or calling the film either science fiction or science fantasy.

• Maybe they don't care because you did it fine, at least Secret of Mana looks good. I see "GamersPro. IDG." and "1UP. Ziff Davis." which is good. Well, let's just say I work with people who put "MSDN Blogs" in |publisher=.
• Are you sure? Please look at this:

See? Inconsistent enough for FA. (Used to be far more inconsistent; Microsoft Security Essentials FA tore me a — Never mind.) Gets more inconsistent when parameters vary more.

• No doubt. No doubt. I'm not defending the existing article. I tried my best when I took away its GA status. (Yeah. I'm the one whom you probably hate.) And reverts are very personal.
• Not only do I assume good faith in you (which is not exclusive to you), I like you. So, no that's not what I meant. To cover up: No, these are not the list of your mistakes, these are just examples to show threshold of sensitivity. Again, no, I do not defend the existing prose. (I just gave up editing it seriously because I mainly work in the computing area.) As for the "damage to the planet" part, it was a mistake that was fixed; that's all. Know this: Malleus Fatorum reverted me almost 50 times in one day during the FA of Microsoft Security Essentials, and not being super-harsh with newcomer wasn't his best suit. If I had failed to assume good faith, User:Codename Lisa would now have been a mere statistic titled "Newcomers who left Wikipedia in agony". That's who were are.

For what it's worth

Sorry to see you mixed up in this whole GamerGate article mess...frankly I've been keeping my hands off it myself due to my own opinions, though did at one point try to at least rebuild the damn thing from scratch. It's too complicated an issue for me to even want to tackle solo though.

That said while I'm pretty firmly on the 'pro' side of things, I've always respected you and valued your friendship on wikipedia. Just felt that should be said to you in light of any shitstorm going on.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 08:21, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
