Scott Walker for President
Hey Muboshgu,
Scott Walker (Delaware Scott Walker not Wisconsin Scott Walker) announced at least a few weeks ago that he's running for POTUS in 2020, as a Democrat. But he was the Republican nominee for DE's At-Large Congressional District in 2018. You can list him maybe as one of the minor Democratic candidates for President in 2020 on the page regarding the presidential election, as opposed to one of the major candidates. Here's an article backing it up.

Guideline and policy news
- A request for comment is currently open to reevaluate the activity requirements for administrators.
- Administrators who are blocked have the technical ability to block the administrator who blocked their own account. A recent request for comment has amended the blocking policy to clarify that this ability should only be used in exceptional circumstances, such as account compromises, where there is a clear and immediate need.
- A request for comment closed with a consensus in favor of deprecating The Sun as a permissible reference, and creating an edit filter to warn users who attempt to cite it.
Technical news
- A discussion regarding an overhaul of the format and appearance of Wikipedia:Requests for page protection is in progress (permalink). The proposed changes will make it easier to create requests for those who are not using Twinkle. The workflow for administrators at this venue will largely be unchanged. Additionally, there are plans to archive requests similar to how it is done at WP:PERM, where historical records are kept so that prior requests can more easily be searched for.
Miscellaneous
- Voting in the 2019 Steward elections will begin on 08 February 2019, 14:00 (UTC) and end on 28 February 2019, 13:59 (UTC). The confirmation process of current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
- A new IRC bot is available that allows you to subscribe to notifications when specific filters are tripped. This requires that your IRC handle be identified.

Rashida Tlaib
There's a DS talk notice for A-I on the talk page, do you think that the article should be put under ecp? My argument would be that she's a target for editors with a bias even if they don't edit specifically relevant content, and that of course editors are editing relevant content that don't have the days or edits. - Doug Weller, I don't know that it does? Anyway, the fact that I've been editing these pages is enough reason for me to abstain from acting as an administrator on them per WP:INVOLVED. - I have been following Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez since her upset primary victory and have made a few edits to that article and several talk page comments. I am too involved there to use adminstrator's tools except for cases of serious and overt BLP issues, vandalism and the like. As for Rashida Tlaib, I have read about her in the news and have glanced at the article but do not recall editing there. I am aware of the escalating criticism of her regarding Israel/Palestine but have little interest in delving deeply into that Wikipedia morass unless necessary. So, I think I am uninvolved - please correct me if I am wrong. So, I will avoid routine editing there, and if either of you (or anyone else) think that I could play a useful tool as an administrator regarding that BLP, please let me know, and I will consider it. Hi, I am sorry to bother you. I noticed that you recently were involved in a block concerning User:Fradio71. Trump claim of executing babies on Northam page
Hello - I saw you removed this content and while I agree with you that it doesn't belong in that article, the reason isn't because it's false - Trump did make that claim. So I just wanted to confirm - is your reason as stated - because it's outlandish? Or is it because it's not relevant? - Right - so I guess really not relevant. I stress this because I can see other articles where it might be something worthy of inclusion (i.e. a page about Trump and his lying for example). But definitely agreed not on the Northam page. As an aside, I have battling quite a few different fights in regard to that page's content. Need your opinion re: proper use of footnotes
Hello, would you be willing to take a look at footnote "A" here and let me know if you consider this is a valid use of this tool? Inclusion of that FN's content has been the topic of debate at the article's talk page and this seems to me to be an example of the editor trying to keep their desired content on the article without having to satisfy gaining consensus. Brewers Pirates
I want to know why you believe that the Brewers Pirates rivalry should be deleted. I don't believe the saying, just because they play each other each year makes it a rivalry. Of course it is a rivalry!!!!!!! In my opinion, if the end result is semi-close between the two teams, and they are in each other's division, it is a rivalry. I don't know if that is what you believe in, but anyways, I want to know why you don't want such a great idea for a new draft on Wikipedia.

- Rathmones, I don't doubt that. But, Wikipedia policy is Wikipedia:Verifiability, and more specifically, "verifiability, not truth". There is a news story to cite about her marrying Mohamed Enab in 2014. We don't delete that just because they're divorced. We need to have a citation that verifies that they are no longer married. Gonzalez declared his congressional candidacy for the 2016 general election after then Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) announced he would not seek reelection.[6] In a crowded race, he won the Democratic primary and Democratic party nomination, defeating Juan “Sonny” Palacios in a runoff election.[7][8][9] He defeated Republican Tim Westley in the November 2016 general election, winning 57.3% of the vote to Westley's 37.7%.[10] Gonzalez won his re-election in 2018 with 60% of the vote against Westley for a second time.

In the 115th Congress, Gonzalez was appointed to the exclusive House Financial Services Committee. In the 116th Congress, he serves on the Subcommittees on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship, and Capital Markets; Housing, Community Development, and Insurance; and Diversity and Inclusion. In the 116th Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi granted him a waiver to jointly serve on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Since taking office, Gonzalez has spent every Thanksgiving with members of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed overseas. He spent the holiday with troops stationed in Afghanistan in 2017, and in Kuwait and Djibouti in 2018.
In January 2019, Gonzalez was one of seven Democratic lawmakers to meet with President Donald Trump and the Administration to put an end to the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history.
Legislative Issues
Since being elected to the House of Representatives, Gonzalez has championed legislation to provide deported veterans with a path to citizenship and allow them to return to the United States. He has also been an advocate for smart, effective border security solutions; lower prescription drug prices; protection for senior citizens; policies that promote strong free trade agreements, and safeguards for farmers and ranchers.

JP Gates, Michael Busch (baseball), and Ashton McGee have all revived significant coverage and should be allowed. Also I had added to Ian Gibaut to give him his own page and I don’t see what is wrong with that too. If there is something missing please tell me what to add and I will.

- UNC2, hi. I see that you are new here. We need all the fresh voices we can get, so let me start off by making clear to you that my intent is not to run you off as quickly as you joined. That said, I disagree that those three college players have received "significant coverage". They have received some coverage, but I don't think enough to meet WP:GNG. You can read up on the process of WP:PROD, to see that you are in your rights to remove the template entirely. At that point, I could nominate the articles for deletion at WP:AFD, which would result in a discussion where people will vote to keep or delete the articles. As far as the Rays prospect, the article content should be contained at Ian Gibaut if and when the bio is to be split off, not Ian Gibaut (baseball). - UNC2, that is hardly what I would call "significant coverage". I see profile pages from Perfect Game, 247 Sports, and their pages on their collegiate websites. Every player gets one of those, and therefore they don't contribute to GNG. MLB Pipeline's "2019 Prospect Watch" is also not going to contribute much if at all. Question about IP talkpages
104.184.194.154 has removed almost all content from that IP's talkpage - all the warnings etc. Is there a pokicy or guideline that says that users can or cannot remove content from "their" talkpages - when they are posting only from an IP address and not under a username? 2019 Chicago mayoral election ... quick note
Just wanted to provide some info about why I tag pages with bare URLs with a cleanup tag rather than resolving them myself. I don't have the bandwidth currently to spend a lot of time working on individual bare reference, but have sufficient aptitude to tag a page when I notice at least one bare URL so that editors who monitor the cleanup categories for bare URLs cleanup tags can resolve. (In fact, I can name at least three editors who monitor and resolve those categories ... to a point where it constitutes most of their edits.) Steel1943 (talk) 23:09, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

The reason why this has been brung up is from the fact that no one has replied to that improvement in three months on subject's talk page. Main story is one of the 80s most sought after actresses namely that of Cates, Phoebe Belle needs a discography guide on article, although it's too microscopic.

If the two of you don't like the fact that these alerts need to be given every 12 month in order to be enforceable, then I suggest you lobby to have it changed at the proper venue. I've gotten these alerts multiple times, I don't see why Muboshgu is immune from them. @Rusf10: I think your approach is entirely helpful. Politics is a contentious and highly sensitive realm of discourse, and as such, it is possible for even the most experienced of veteran editors to lose sight of the purpose and function of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a invaluable resource and an irreplaceable source of information for millions to billions of people around the globe, and it is consequently important that the quality of its content reflects the nobility of that function and the lofty ideal that function represents. Everyone is certainly capable of mistakes, especially considering these tumultuous times, but those members of any community who wield the most influence, respect, and attention have a responsibility to hold themselves to an exemplary standard beyond their personal beliefs. Despite this the duty often falls to the many of those who wield the least influence to patrol and enforce that standard. I believe everyone could use a respectful reminder of this.

Peter Alonso
Peter Alonso's Wikipedia page incorrectly states "Alonso was born to Michelle, a native of Bucaramanga, Columbia...". Although I gave birth to Peter, I was not born in Bucaramanga, Columbia nor do I have any Latin American relatives, associations or even visited the country.
I edited Peter's page today to remove the fabrication of "a native of Bucaramanga, Columbia". I'd appreciate it if you would ensure the correction is made in removing the fabrication.
It was disheartening to see Wikipedia would publish such a falsehood on the heels of removing facts I tried to insert on his page in September of 2018.
