L&B updates

No problem. Another one that is commonly believed to have 'come down in the weather' was the old sheds at WB - that was definitely caused by sledge hammers..... Anyhow, happy new year to you too, don't know how soon I might do an EA page, but I'll certainly try and help you keep all the existing pages acurate in the mean time. Tennant

FYI, rumours regarding David Tennant's personal life have been a problem with respect to that article for years now. While many IPs and new editors have added text about it, there has not yet been a reliable enough source to support keeping the material. Before removing the Mail link (it was added elsewhere earlier today), I did review it and also searched Wikipedia for past discussions regarding the Daily Mail as a reliable source. An extensive discussion appears to have developed the conclusion that it is best to ensure that the Mail is not the only source we're using; that is to say, if another reliable source (not the Sun or other tabs) publishes the same information, we can proceed. Keep in mind that, given Tennant's popularity, there should be wide-spread coverage in Britain if it is in fact real. We lose nothing by waiting a few days to see what turns up. --Ckatzchatspy 10:18, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for this - and for the history of edits to the article. I take your point about reliability, but there is also an article on the Daily Telegraph web site, and I heard it mentioned on ITV this morning. I have joined in the discussion on the David tennant talk page. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 12:25, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

marking edits minor

You appear to be marking all your edits as minor - edits such as this and this, where you removed paragraphs are definately not minor. You may want to check if you've not accidently selected the "mark all edits minor by default" box on your preferences by accident. Thanks.Nigel Ish (talk) 18:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Nigel Ish, Thanks for pointing that out - Sorry, I had checked the box. I'll watch out for that in the future. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 19:03, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Much appreciated!

Thank you very much for your help on the article page of Sembawang Air Base (old RAF Sembawang). Also, could I interest you to look it over at Seletar Airport (RAF Seletar), Changi Air Base (RAF Changi) and Tengah Air Base (RAF Tengah) too? Cheers! --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 04:18, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

I only have any first-hand knowledge of RAF Changi, from around 1966-68(I was 8-9 at the time!), but I've added the others to my watchlist and I'll see what I can add. Thanks, Lynbarn (talk) 13:28, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Is this any help, or have you already seen these? [3][4][5] Also, see Handley Page Victor Note 30. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 19:56, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

RAF Kingsnorth

There was a RAF Kingsnorth in WWI. It was originally a RFC/RNAS station, which became a RAF station in 1918, and closed in 1919. See RAF Kingsnorth for details. Mjroots (talk) 20:32, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for that, MJRoots, but have you any references to confirm that? There was a RNAS base, and it became RAF in 1918, but I'm not sure it was ever called "RAF Kingsnorth". I believe it was always RAF policy never to use the same name twice for different locations (although sometimes, location had several RAF names). I may be wrong, but I have so far seen no formalreference to "RAF Kingsnorth" in WW1. I have started a discussion about this on Talk:RAF Kingsnorth which may be the best place to explore the possibilities further? Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 21:26, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Re-The United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973 vote of March 18

It was meant as a news building/sources to be added as proper content later by me/other users.

"You mention that Russia and Germany are pro-Libya - do you mean pro-Gaddafi?"- I agree, it's a more spot on and accurate term for my point.

The "sides" was my own POV and was not to be article added unlike the rest.

:-)Wipsenade (talk) 11:15, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for adding "pro-Gaddafi" to all 5 of my page entries. I was just going to correct them and found you had done it already. :-)Wipsenade (talk) 11:20, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Isn't this table something more suitable for your sandbox? The key information is already in another article, using a well established format: United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 13:58, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Ok, if it's already there then no problem. I got it as news broke when I turned on my TV this morning. I the Googled up stuff. It was new and I thought I was first. If others got there first, I did not notice it. I just thought the main nations were mentioned, not places like Gabon to. It appears my notice was not a news exclusive, but out of date by several hours. United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973. Wipsenade (talk) 16:31, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
