December 2023 edit

Hi Jlvshistory! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Elias Finley Johnson edit

Hello, I just finished cleaning up Elias Finley Johnson. Thank you for contributing all that content - it's valuable, and appreciated. However, your text contained a lot of errors; pretty much every sentence needed corrections. In the future, please consider having someone look over your content before submitting it, or at least run it through a spellcheck. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 06:05, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for your concern, I accept your concern and appreciate it, even though I check my draft before submitting and editing many times, but maybe sometimes I didn't check my drafts for mistakes but I will note this anyway. Again, Thank you for your concern😊 Jlvshistory (talk) 06:59, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mirrors edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Creative Korea Party ‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! Image copyright edit

Hi Jlvshistory, You recently uploaded an image of a TikTok to Perry High School shooting. The image was removed because it is likely to be deleted from Wikimedia Commons due to lack of proof that it is free content. For future reference, unless you have proof of a relevant license or it is your own work, you should not upload an image to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons. For further information, see Commons:Licensing. Let me know if you have any questions. Best, Wracking talk! 05:35, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

But I get it from ABC and other news outlets or website, Does it count as a copy right strike? Jlvshistory (talk) 05:38, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia Commons only hosts content that is free, meaning there are specific instructions from the creator that it can be used by anyone, anytime, for any purpose. Unless you have that proof, you should not upload a file.
There is no such thing as a "copyright strike" here (like there is on YouTube or other sites), but repeated additions of non-free content could lead to a user being blocked. See the image I've added to this comment for more info. Let me know if you have any more questions. Wracking talk! 05:49, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your concern, but I accidentaly typed 'copyright strikes' instead of 'copyright' my bad, thank you for concern Jlvshistory (talk) 05:51, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

January 2024 edit

Again, I ask that you please take more care that your work meets the guidelines of the Manual of Style. Your recent edit of John Frow added an ungrammatical sentence and many inappropriate capital letters. In general, Wikipedia uses sentence case, so it's "Professor, author" instead of "Professor, Author" in the infobox, for example.

I see that you are making good contributions here, but please do your best to make sure that others don't have to clean up after you. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 03:11, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I apologize to that but I promise I will do my best, thank you for understanding Jlvshistory (talk) 03:13, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.

  • How is this [1] or this [2] constructive, or any better than vandalism?

    • To partially answer my question, I've looked at a few more of your edits, and it seems there's a problem anytime you're not merely copying citations and have to write something in your own words. The notice above from January is still relevant. You probably should not be editing grammar or adding content at English Wikipedia. April 2024 edit

Per the above messages, it's probably best that you not edit at English Wikipedia. If disruptions continue, I will ask for administrative assistance.

What are you referring to? Jlvshistory (talk) 11:28, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Most of you latest edit was copied from its source. How can you not know what I'm referring to? 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 11:33, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm writing with my own words using these sources, I don't know what problems do you want me to see, In fact, I also remove unecessary links that I believe was unecessary because they are generalized word and obviously not needed to be linked Jlvshistory (talk) 11:36, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, you're copying text almost verbatim. When you write in your own words, as in your comments here, your English has not been adequate to edit here. That you don't seem to understand the problem, is a problem. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 11:42, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, if that's the case my bad but sometimes I copy some words and then I will type it with my own words, and also you reverse some of my edits such as reversing " James Ingraham et al. v. Willie J. Wright, et al." to "Ingraham et al. v. Wright, et al." which is I believe which is wrong because it supposedly the full case name, and that's exactly the template of the infobox. But, anyways, to be honest, I'll decide to be inactive in Wikipedia, if I did something wrong Jlvshistory (talk) 11:49, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
