Similarly Rcsprinter, you have no right to tell people what to do and boss them around. What is the problem regarding the Tyne and Wear page, you both seem to want different things, but it's hard to tell what as Rcsprinter keeps reverting without using the edit summary to explain what is being done? Arriva436talk/contribs 12:19, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am a little... uncertain myself; this page was created after 2 weeks of extensive experimentation to create the optimum column widths for maximum viewing (as someone with over 20 years of database design & management, I know the importance of layout and style). The data in each column needs to be is as standard a format as possible, as no one element is more important than another (I'm sure you agree with that) so having one column with a totally different alignment looks rather 'awkward'. Additionally, using rather arbitary Route Number groupings without, seemingly, any form of logic in their sizings is confusing - I would never deign to make such assumptions (is it something to do with equalizing the sizes of the groups, perhaps?) And is there any reason for Route 515 to be in such an obviously erronious location? On the matter of Notes, it all relates to the basic purpose of the page - a list of routes IN TYNE AND WEAR, meaning those that run either wholly within the county OR journeys that cross the border but run to/from Tyne and Wear; therefore, information about specific journeys that operate wholly outwith the county fall outside the remit of the page. I do accept that I was excessive in my defence of my page (for which I unreservedly apologise), but I do have to step in and object when information is added that is entirely inaccurate; the 'updates' contain a multiple example of a basic information error and, having been involved in Public Transport for 30 years, I must pull up such a 'schoolboy' mistake - I actually find it hard to accept that someone who proclaims their transport knowledge would be guilty of such an error. At the end of the day, I have used my professional abilities in inter-related fields in the creation of this and all my other pages, in order to provide a resource that is easy to use, logical and, above all, something I can be justifyably proud of. Geordiewomble 18:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

OK, thanks for that. You might be interested in the current discussion about Rcsprinter on the Administrator's noticeboard: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Rcsprinter123. You might be able to help regarding the edit war on Tyne and Wear bus routes. It would help if Rcsprinter could explain what he is trying to do and why! Maybe he needs to discuss it with you, rather than reverting everything... Arriva436talk/contribs 19:43, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Some more Bus stations in the North East edit

Thanks for adding to Killingworth bus station.

Due to start on pages for Winlaton bus station, Hexham bus station and Stanley bus station fairly soon.

If you could add a bit of colour to those, i and the rest of Wikipedia-land would be grateful.

Ta again.

(Whohe! (talk) 01:32, 22 March 2011 (UTC)).Reply

Hi, there - thanks for the feedback.

Winlaton - I'll certainly flesh it out once you have it up (I already have the table sorted!)

Hexham & Stanley - I won't do those at this moment in time because my primary concern is with Tyne & Wear (though I have no problem with expanding into County Durham as and when time permits).

Can I also ask a couple of wee favours?

1) Could you rename Killingworth to say 'Bus Station' instead of 'bus station', so it matches the others already created by others?

2) Could you create entries for Jarrow Bus Station & Washington Galleries Bus Station (the 'missing links')?

Ta!

Geordiewomble 09:24, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Killingworth, as other bus stations, is a bit of a wrestling match, "bus station v Bus Station", that might be a bit of my hands.
But yes i'll give Winlaton, Jarrow and Washington Galleries bus station a go.
(Whohe! (talk) 19:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC))Reply

No problems - if you let me know when they're up and running, I can add the Route Lists.

Geordiewomble 17:11, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi, there - err, problem!

I don't know how this has happened but, in adding the Bus Route list to Washington Galleries bus station, I've somehow managed to delete everything else from it! I am really sorry about that - hope you have kept a copy on a spreadsheet or something so you can reinstate it - I'll keep my fingers crossed!

List of Womens Football Clubs in England edit

@EddersGTI: Many thanks for the extra information; that League wasn't showing on the FA Full-Time website when I constructed the page, which is why it was missing. The Gold entry is for clubs that are playing their first ever season (brand new clubs, rather than promoted), happy to leave them there. Geordiewomble (talk) 16:15, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, the Gold entry clubs are what I believe to be brand new clubs, I couldn't find information on previous seasons. EddersGTI (talk) 19:04, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
That's perfect, I'll leave them as is (on the English Men's list, I use the words "New Club", just for emphasis.
You did a superb job - I've added the extra information onto the spreadsheet I keep the list on, so next season's update will correctly include them. 89.243.127.195 (talk) 19:49, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
