This wasn't vandalism, but it wasn't exactly a good edit, either so I'm not going to restore it. Please watch what you label reverts as.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 00:38, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note about AIV

It's not necessary to tell someone they've been reported to AIV. If they're really so bad, they'll find out soon enough. ;) EVula // talk // // 20:45, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

RfA thanks

Thank you for voting in my RfA, which I withdrew with 5 support, 14 oppose, and 9 neutral. Thank you for your comments! Whether it was a support, oppose, or neutral, I likely got some good feedback from you. I will probably do another RfA in the future, but not until I work out the issues brought up.

RfA Thanks

Hi NHRHS2010 - thanks for your participation in my request for adminship. I'm glad that you saw no reason to oppose, and I'll try not to give you any after the fact. Anyway, the RfA passed 52/0/0, and I'm now in possession of a shiny new mop. If I can ever help you with anything, please don't hesitate to contact me. Rudget!

Dear NHRHS2010, my sincere thanks for your participation in my second request for adminship, which ended with 113 supports, 11 opposes, and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank my admin coach and nominator, Rlevse and Ryan Postlethwaite who in addition to Ioeth all inspired me to run for a second candidacy. I would also like to make a special mention to Phoenix-wiki, Dihyrdogen Monoxide and OhanaUnited who all offered to do co-nominations, but I unfortunately had to decline. I had all these funny ideas that it would fail again, and I was prepared for the worst, but at least it showed that the community really does have something other places don't. Who would have though Gmail would have been so effective? 32 emails in one week! (Even if it does classify some as junk :P) I'm glad that I've been appointed after a nail biting and some might call, decision changing RFA, but if you ever need anything, just get in touch. The very best of luck for 2008 and beyond, Rudget. 17:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC) Reply

My comments

I apologise if my comments truly offended you. This was not the intend. I understand where you are coming from stating that you have a problem with a certain user; almost all of us have experiences issues at some point in our wiki careers. However it's usually best to directly contact the editor you have a problem with instead of bring it up in "public forum". Again, I apologise if I really did offend you, and hope you consider what I said. :) Mønobi 21:23, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey yo! About my Gig edit.

This is complete BULL. I should not have my Wiki editing blocked because of putting factual information down in it!

Gig IS a character from Soul Nomad & The World Eaters, just as he is a character in "Hotwheels accelaracers" or whatever it is. And your claim that I have not provided a source is a LIE. I gave you a Wiki source for heavens sake!

No "Vandalisim" occured. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.181.4.181 (talk) 00:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

... and TW for removing sockpuppet vandalism to my Talk page. All the best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 00:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

And just so I know, because I'm new to the whole sockpuppet thing... a fellow editor and Editorhwaller sufferer -- User:Snowfire51 -- placed a template on the anon IP page reporting it as a probable sock. Would that have triggered an investigation by an admin eventually, or must it be reported as you have? (I have a feeling this is going to keep happening). Thanks, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 00:43, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Macedonia is Greek!

You say that what i wrote was vandalism. This is not true because what i wrote was a fact. According to the EU the country is called FYROM Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia and shouold not be called anything else. It is my strong belief that the people of this country are taking history from other countries which does not belong to them. This country should never be refered to just as the Rep. of Macedonia nor should it have the name Macedonia in its title. The name Rep. of Macedonia should not be allowed on wiki because really this is not just blatent vandalism, but also theft and fraud.

Talk Page Policy

If you looked it up, You'd see it isn't against rules to edit your own talk page however you see fit. So go ahead and request a block. I did nothing wrong. Good day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.175.183.44 (talk) 04:05, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

joke on user page

Hi, I have removed your joke on your user page. User pages are a privilege to facilitate building an encyclopedia, not a right to use as you please. They are there to communicate information to others, not to fool them. John Vandenberg (talk) 10:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why do you consider it necessary to keep the joke on your user page? John Vandenberg (talk) 13:02, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Are you calling me a vandal for visiting your user page? Or am I just collateral damage? John Vandenberg (talk) 13:20, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but your "joke" is a spoof of a wikimedia notice intended to inform me of something important I need to attend to. I dont appreciate having my time wasted by being fooled. I still fail to see why you consider it useful to annoy people with this. Vandalism of your user page is no reason to confuse legitimate users. In mainspace, we revert vandalism and get back to the business of writing an encyclopedia; why is your user page any different? There are many user pages which are more regularly vandalised and they dont resort to this. John Vandenberg (talk) 14:15, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would like to echo that request at the risk of being considered a humourless bastard. If you want to be clever on your userpage, please think of something original rather than repeating the same old joke which very many people find annoying. henriktalk 13:50, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

a thank you note

Thanks for participating in my RfA!
Although it failed 43/27/0, I'm happy because the outcome has been very helpful in many meaningful ways. Your support and remarks contributed so much to this. If you followed my RfA you know what happened. Most of the editors who posted opposing opinions have never edited with me. Some articles I edit deal with controversial topics and with respect to a very few of these, editors who didn't know much about me had some worries about confrontational editing and civility. Since I support their high standards I can easily (and will gladly) address this. The support and ecouragement to run again soon has been wonderful, thanks again. Cheers! Shutterbug

Hi, I see you're a beginner photographer as I am, only you've got better equipment. Alas, my old, primitive and broken little camera isn't the main thing wrong with my pictures; the main reasons my pictures come out badly is my lack of understanding of darkness and light and mist. Oh, well, I keep trying and studying my failures, and only upload the best 2% of my pictures. If it's an article that already has pictures, only my best 1% have a chance of being better than the ones already there. For example I too took a Circle Line ride, and I made more than 200 pictures including all the bridges except the 145th Street one, but most of them were too poor to go in Wikipedia except in articles that had no previous picture. When we can't make many good pictures, we can go on making pictures, but we must only upload a few. If you go on Circle Line again, be sure to snap all the bridges, and probably several of your shots will be good enough to replace mine. Jim.henderson (talk) 02:35, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Penn Station (New York) pictures

I noticed you put pictures of the Amtrak and New Jersey Transit sections on the Penn Station article. Did you take these yourself or did they come from somewhere else? I'm asking this because if you did, would it be possible for you to get a picture from the Long Island Rail Road section the next time you go back there? Then we would have a picture from all 3 sections. Murjax (talk) 06:48, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
