Hi there. Could I see please the content of this article as to why there was an A1 reason to delete? I would like to contribute to this page, if necessary by giving it contextual relevance. thanks, Jamesmrturner (talk) 14:22, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kate Nash/Personal Attacks edit

I noticed you left a note on talk page of 68.9.95.118. This user is repeatedly vandalising the Kate Nash page by incorrectly claiming she is Irish born (the user is Irish themself despite a US based IP address....). I just noticed they left this message on an old talk page 'Fuck Off you British Cunt !!!'. This user doesn't appear to make an constructive edits, and is throwing about personal insults.... surely a ban should be in place here?

92.9.66.126 (talk) 20:29, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I've left them a final warning. However, as it's an IP address they would only be able to be blocked temporarily, and only for a short period at first. Epbr123 (talk) 20:52, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Whoa!!! [This Is Good] edit

Not that I'm complaining that vandals are getting reverted, but the one night in months I find time to patrol, you beat me to half the edits. I guess this slow computer and questionable Wi-Fi connection aren't quite adequate for Huggle. :D Keep it up, though; you're doing an awesome job! Angelica Bella edit

Finally found a RS for Angelica Bella's 1993 Hot D'Or award. Hopefully, that will stop the rounds of deletions. For future european pornography topics, I wish AVN Europe (based in Budapest) was archived and searchable like the original but it's only available in the PDF of the month so far. Morbidthoughts (talk) 20:26, 24 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I didn't know there was AVN Europe. It looks like an excellent source for redressing Wikipedia's American bias. Shame about its searchability though. Epbr123 (talk) 21:41, 24 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I have seen that you are a part of this wiki project. I was wondering whether you can add an article about the actor John West. According to IMDB he has appeared in nearly 700 movies and there is another site here which has information on him. He has also won 1 award and was nominated for another. I am surprised he does not feature on the wikipedia and i think its about time he does. Hopefully you can help me out. 115.128.12.163 (talk) 04:40, 24 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just to let you know edit

Now that Huggle does not block editors (look at the talk page), it might be a good idea to look at your logs when on patrol to see the editors you have reported to AIV and block them yourself to save other admins the time. Just a suggestion. Best Monster Under Your Bed (talk) 13:05, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

LA Direct Models edit

I removed them because they weren't particularly relevant news links related to the company. If they were references for particular statements in the article (e.g. important events in the history of the company), it would be another story, but they appear to be there just to show that the company exists or something. Any corporation will generate some amount of news over time, not all of it deserves to be linked in Wikipedia articles. --Boffob (talk) 22:34, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

a question? edit

I have an inquiry, what is the lower age limit for being accepted as an admin here on wikipedia? I ask as there seem to be a lot of school kids, ie, those under the age of 18, who are admins. They seem to delete, ban, block, edit wikipedia at times when they do not l ike an certtain article.

This seems fairly unique as most sites will not allow anyone to be and admin, sysop, modderator unless they are 18 or over. Please reply here as my IP address changes as and when I log onto the Internet79.74.24.142 (talk) 19:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I thought you'd want to know Sylis9 has vandalized another page. I was going to put a warning on the user's talk page but saw the other warnings you already gave. Hello. Yes, thanks, I'd like this one deleted because it was created by accident when the server went down just as I was trying to set up a talk page archive. I created the other after someone tried to speedy delete this, which could have meant loss of the archive. I've got the original talk page pointing to the second page so that's the one to keep. AIV reports edit

Block your own vandals, darn you. :P GlassCobra 19:54, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

:/ edit

Why are you making reports to AIV? Did you resign adminship? Master&Expert (Talk) 23:28, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, it's just that Huggle's block feature is broken, so it is easier to file reports to AIV and let someone else deal with it than it is to minimize Huggle, open a browser, and block using the MediaWiki Special:BlockIP. J.delanoygabsadds 23:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's more efficient to let the AIV watchers block at the moment. I could revert about 10 vandals in the time it takes to block someone. Epbr123 (talk) 23:37, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Really? But what about the manual block feature? Master&Expert (Talk) 19:07, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I can block manually, but it takes a lot of time. It's better if I continue to revert vandals, and let others block, due to the division of labour benefits. Epbr123 (talk) 19:55, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ahh... but wouldn't it take just as long for another administrator to administer a block? Master&Expert (Talk) 00:38, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, because the other administrator wouldn't have to spend time switching between different tasks. They would just be focussing on blocking. Epbr123 (talk) 01:08, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ryanair accident edit

As you may be aware, there was an accident to a Ryanair flight at Rome Ciampino Airport yesterday. The aircraft involved was substantially damaged and there is much coverage in the press. User:Harry the Dirty Dog keeps removing any reference to the accident from the Ryanair article claiming it is not notable. The section is headed "Accidents and incidents" - I believe that it was an accident rather than an incident. Is there a WP:OWN issue here? Mjroots (talk) 18:49, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

If he starts reverting against consensus, then there may be an WP:OWN issue. But there doesn't seem to be consensus on the article talk page yet. I don't know enough about the incident yet to give an opinion on whether it belongs in the article. Maybe there should be an article on "Ryanair accidents and incidents" to include these kinds of minor incidents. Epbr123 (talk) 20:14, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

My article edit

Hi, a few days ago(or weeks, can't remember...) you have deleted my article which is called Illutia due to speedy deletion. I have asked the administrator SoWhy (talk · contribs) why it was deleted and they said that you deleted it yourself. They also said that they declined the deletion but it was re-tagged for deletion despite their decision. Could you please explain to me why you deleted the article? Sinjid40 (talk) 11:24, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • It was an article about web content that didn't indicate the importance or significance of its subject. You need to establish the notabilty of the subject by finding reliable, independent, significant sources for its article. Epbr123 (talk) 11:48, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

But what if the only sources that I have is from my own experience? I mean I can't find any sources for that article on any websites, since this game(article) is rather unpopular and in no way will the Staff of the game will give away game information. I am(apparently) the only person that tried to make an article for that, so I don't think anyone else would come and improve it. I've seen many articles that have been tagged for not having any sources yet they don't get deleted. How come? Sinjid40 (talk) 03:58, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • If you can't find any independent sources, then the game isn't notable. All articles that can't be sourced do get deleted eventually. Epbr123 (talk) 10:34, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

the pornbio discussion edit

Is there something you can do when a poster splices another user's post with his responses. Hi. The image above has been tagged with the text copyvio template. The contributor who tagged it notes that "Flickr, licensed as "All Rights Reserved" which is not a free license." Has the photographer changed his license? I've done a cleanup, but there's a couple of things you'll still need to do:
  • Per MOS:IMAGE, you should avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other. There's also a lot of whitespace, caused by the images, in certain browser settings. You'll possibly need to remove some images to fix these two issues.:
  • The refs need to be consitntly formatted, particularly the dates. Epbr123 (talk) 11:48, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for all your help, Epbr123! I am not so keen about removing images — I much prefer to keep what we have, and would love to get more, if there were good ones out there. But I'll keep your points in mind and see what I can do. I'll also work on the other items you mention. Thanks again, Crum375 (talk) 13:16, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

CSD A7 edit

Howdy. I'm curious how Massimo Dutti currently states why the company is significant or why it is important? The reason I ask is because you recently declined a speedy tag I had on the article. There are indeed links on the page now, but nothing in the body of the article "indicates why its subject is important or significant". All the links appear to do is show verifiability which is not what CSD A7 is about.--Rockfang (talk) 12:08, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Having media coverage is itself an assertion of importance. This article would currently survive an AfD, and it would therefore be ludicrous to speedy delete it. Epbr123 (talk) 12:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Decline of speedy deletion edit

Your decline reason for the article Satanas was that is had independent coverage. The only "source" listed is a book that supposedly mentions them at a link that doesn't work. Why is that considered independant coverage? The other external link streetgangs.com wouldn't meet the criteria of a reliable source. Niteshift36 (talk) 22:59, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • We should to assume good faith and assume that whoever added the book reference wasn't lying about it mentioning Satanas, especially as it was added by an established user. Most book sources aren't available online anyway, so a reference having a deadlink doesn't disqualify it as a source. Besides, the article previously survived an AfD here. Epbr123 (talk) 23:12, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Seems odd to me that an article that is over a year and a half old consists of 2 sentences. Yes, 2 sentences. Their "notability" seems very localized. Oh well. Niteshift36 (talk) 23:19, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lynn LeMay edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lynn LeMay, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Little/No content. Article may or may not qualify as a Stub. Contains little information, and barely establishes Notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hello, EPBR123. I wonder if you might be persuaded to take another look at Cam's RFA, and possibly reconsider your oppose vote? I think that Cam's track record of collaborating with others indicates that there would be a high likliness of asking others before expiramenting with the tools carelessly. Of course, even if accidents occur, most mismoppings can be easily fixed. The things that can't be so easily fixed are the result of attitudes and interactions with other editors, an area in which I think Cam does quite well. Thanks for your time. Jerry delusional ¤ kangaroo 02:42, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • My main concern is his lack of experience at CSD, which is an area where mistakes aren't easily spotted or fixed. There are several well-respected users who regularly speedy delete articles inappropriately, so I'd prefer to see actual evidence that he understands the CSD criteria, rather than judge his abilities by his reputation at Milhist. iafd and the MoS edit

I don't think I've seen anything in regard to your claim that the "iafd name" template violates the MoS. Can you point out the particular section you're referring to? Thanks...Valrith (talk) 20:15, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Wikipedia:Citing sources#Citation styles states that the citation style used in an article has to be consistant. There are no other citation templates that produce the same citation style as Template:Iafd name, so the non-iafd sources will be cited in a different style to that of the iafd sources. The template also doesn't include a parameter for the access date. The template looks as though it was only designed to be used in the external links section, not as a reference. Speedy deletion of Old Arley edit

A tag has been placed on Old Arley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. I disagree with the Digital Copy deletion edit

I have for some time been considering creating an article about Digital Copy and awhile ago after a Google search I was pleased to find an article about it on Wikipedia, but soon discovered that the page had been deleted roughly a month or less after it was created. The Google cache is no longer available, but the article was copied here: [3] and in time we'll see what the Internet Archive was able to capture, if anything. (I'm curious as to what the talk page contained.)

The cited reason for the deletion was A7, but I disagree with that criteria and I'm surprised there apparently wasn't any discussion prior to deletion. I would argue that Digital Copy, a feature included with DVD's and Blu-ray Discs, is far from obscure and is of sufficient notability for an article. One need only do a Google search to find several articles about it and links to studios' Digital Copy sites. Amazon.com searches bring up dozens of titles, studios are rereleasing old titles repackaged with Digital Copy, and it seems as if every week brings another one or few Digital Copy titles and there may someday be thousands. Digital Copy is rapidly becoming a standard feature of major mainstream releases and like Infinifilm, Nuon, and Superbit, it should have its own article.

Of course, I could just be misunderstanding the actual reason for the deletion. Judging from my saved copy of the Google cache and the above Yahoo! Answers article, the article itself was pretty good for a description of Digital Copy, but lacking in links (hence not justifying itself according to A7), redirected to Digital copy DVD's (perhaps unwisely, especially since Blu-ray is not DVD), had a link to its own redirect, and contained a futile attempt at a list of titles. Yes, a bit of a mess, but a mess with potential. (Did I just say that?) If it was deleted for technical reasons, I would prefer that it had been cleaned up and not deleted. I would like to recreate the article with most of the text intact, links to articles and studios' sites, and without the list, but I won't do so without your input and (I hope) blessing.

Klknoles (talk) 00:30, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, the article was deleted in error. I misunderstood what the article had said, thinking it was about an online DVD retailer. The article shouldn't have been deleted without discussion and has now been restored. Regards. Epbr123 (talk) 01:12, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wow! That was easy. For awhile there I was afraid I was really gonna have to fight a losing battle for it. I'll add some links to to the bottom of the page and I'll put links in most of the articles that mention Digital Copy (But not High School Musical 3 and Hancock since those are locked) and note these changes in the talk page. I'll do what I can to make this article take off in no time.

There have been several experienced editors helping push this article, but I've been the main contributor and I am still very new at editing wikipedia. My biggest weakness are the little things in WP:MoS (at least I think so!). I get better every time I log in. Could you take a look at USMA and the FAC review so far and see what you think? Thanks!  Ahodges7  18:54, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wow, thanks for the quick response. I'm sorry the article is so out of standard of WP:MoS. I've read the standards, but I learn so much more by watching your corrections. Thanks!  Ahodges7  01:12, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've finished looking through, although there's a few things left to sort out:
  • Per MOS:IMAGE, text should avoid being sandwiched between two images, as in the Notable alumni section. Also, left-aligned images shouldn't be placed at the start of subsections, like in the Sedgwick's spurs section. To fix these two issues, you'll probably need to remove images from the article.
  • "The head of DPE holds the title of Master of the Sword (MOS), dating to the 1800s" - "the 1800s" means the decade 1800-1809, rather than the 19th century. Was this intended? Epbr123 (talk) 03:29, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of User talk:90.227.54.114 edit

A tag has been placed on User talk:90.227.54.114, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:User talk:90.227.54.114|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Proposed deletion of Camera Green edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Camera Green, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Village does not appear to exist!

GA Sweeps update edit

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am contacting you because you have contributed or expressed interest in the GA sweeps process. Last month, only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process with 163 articles reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

All exempt articles that have reached FA status have now been moved to a separate section at the end of the running total page. I went through all of the members' running totals and updated the results to reflect the move. As a result your reviewed article total may have decreased a bit. After removing duplicate articles and these FAs, the running total leaves us at ~1,400 out of 2,808 articles reviewed.

If you currently have any articles on hold or at GAR, please consider concluding those reviews and updating your results. I'm hoping that this new list and increased efforts can help us to increase the number of reviews. We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you know of anybody that can assist please direct them to the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, will get an award when they reach that mark. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! GA Sweeps June update edit

Thanks to everyone's dedicated efforts to the GA Sweeps process, a total of 396 articles were swept in May! That more than doubles our most successful month of 163 swept articles in September 2007 (and the 2 articles swept in April)! I plan to be sending out updates at the beginning of each month detailing any changes, updates, or other news until Sweeps are completed. So if you get sick of me, keep reviewing articles so we can be done (and then maybe you'll just occasionally bump into me). We are currently over 60% done with Sweeps, with just over a 1,000 articles left to review. With over 40 members, that averages out to about 24 articles per person. If each member reviews an article a day this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. I know that may be asking for a lot, but it would allow us to complete Sweeps and allow you to spend more time writing GAs, reviewing GANs, or focusing on other GARs (or whatever else it is you do to improve Wikipedia) as well as finish ahead of the two-year mark coming up in August. I recognize that this can be a difficult process at times and appreciate your tenacity in spending time in ensuring the quality of the older GAs. Feel free to recruit other editors who have reviewed GANs in the past and might be interested in the process. The more editors, the less the workload, and hopefully the faster this will be completed. If you have any questions about reviews or the process let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. Again, thank you for taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 18:00, 1 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Adajja edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Adajja, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Angela Tiger edit

A tag has been placed on Angela Tiger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. GA Sweeps July update edit

Thanks to everyone's dedicated efforts to the GA Sweeps process, a total of 290 articles were swept in June! Last month was our second most successful month in reviewing articles (after May). We are currently over 70% done with Sweeps, with just under 800 articles left to review. With nearly 50 members, that averages out to about 15 articles per person. If each member reviews an article every other day this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. This may sound difficult, but if everyone completes their reviews, Sweeps would be completed in less than two years when we first started (with only four members!). With the conclusion of Sweeps, each editor could spend more time writing GAs, reviewing at the backlogged GAN, or focusing on other GARs. Again, I want to thank you for using your time to ensure the quality of the older GAs. Feel free to recruit other editors who have reviewed GANs in the past and might be interested in the process. The more editors, the less the workload, and hopefully the faster this will be completed. If you have any questions about reviews or the process let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. If each member reviews an article every other day this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. Again, I want to thank you for using your time to ensure the quality of the older GAs. Your biggest mistake last time was saying you wanted to work in admin areas that you had little experience in, but I think you experienced enough in those areas now and are actually one of the best new page patrollers I've seen. Your lack of a Good Article or DYK may be a small problem, but you shouldn't go a write one just to please a couple of people at RfA. • PROD removed from Tera Joy, by User:ThaddeusB, with summary '(remove PROD - a previous prod was contested and thus the article is no longer eligible for proposed deletion)'
  • PROD removed from Orchidea Keresztes, by User:ThaddeusB, with summary '(remove PROD - a previous prod was contested and thus the article is no longer eligible for proposed deletion)'

  • PROD removed from Michele Raven, by User:SilkTork, with summary '(previously prodded)'

Please consider discussing your concerns with the relevant users before pursuing deletion further. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mia Banggs (2nd nomination). Stone, Swale edit

I'm trying to figure out what's going on here, having found this redirect on the Stone (disambiguation) page (and knowing nothing about Swale or Kent or anywhere in the UK outside London).

In May 2007 you started this stub that said (paraphrasing) "Stone is a village in Swale." Then in July 2007 you said you merged it to Stone Chapel, Kent, but it appears you just started a new article at that title, with the same text, but instead of Stone it says "Stalisfield is a village in Kent." (I don't know what the relation is between "Stalisfield" and "Stone Chapel".) Then six months later, someone rewrote the article so it actually is about a Stone Chapel. At the end of 2008, it was redirected to Faversham Stone Chapel.

The current situation is that Stone, Swale redirectes to Faversham Stone Chapel, a chapel in Swale that happens to be made out of stone. As far as I can tell from the Swale article and template, there's no place in Swale called Stone. If there is such a place, there doesn't seem to be any article acknowledging it. So I was thinking I'd put the redirect up for deletion but since you still seem to be around, I figured I'd ask you first if you can shed any light here, in part because I'm just curious how this happened. Propaniac (talk) 16:49, 20 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Stone, Swale and Stone Chapel, Kent articles were created using a source that turned out to be unreliable. There are no settlements in Swale called Stone or Stone Chapel, so these redirects can be deleted. Epbr123 (talk) 18:48, 20 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I'm going to copy this conversation to Talk:Stone, Swale, assuming you don't mind. Propaniac (talk) 13:55, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re-adding you to WP:HAU edit

Hello! Do you mind if I re-add you to Wikipedia:Highly Active Users/Europe? I removed your name earlier this year since your last edit was February 6, 2009. It's great to see you contributing here and reverting vandalism again. Schfifty3 22:05, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I don't mind. Epbr123 (talk) 22:15, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Chihea edit

Given the author's username, it kind of looked like the user was making a brag page about herself - but since the article didn't expressly say that, I restored the article (with the prod tag) and added a prod2. NawlinWiki (talk) 13:15, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

User page edit

Why don't you have any personal information on your User Page? -- Stillwaterising (talk) 01:01, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I like to keep my personal information personal. Anything you particularly want to know? Epbr123 (talk) 01:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Something, anything. Put an explanation about your views about putting your personal information on your userpage or a userbox that says you don't like userboxes. -- Stillwaterising (talk) 05:46, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
What's up between you and Hullaballoo Wolfowitz? You two seem to tag-team other users in deletion discussions. Are you his meatpuppetmaster? Can you demonstate muliple occurrances of you two casting dissenting opinions in Afd or BLP discussions? -Stillwaterising (talk) 16:03, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
So you still haven't read WP:AGF then? There's a minor BLP disagreement between us two threads below. Epbr123 (talk) 19:06, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Your good faith with me expired a while ago, unfortunately, and I've made some recommendation as to how you can get it back. For starters, show some integrity and allow other users' critical remarks to remain on your talk pages. WP:AGF is not intended to keep us from occasionally questioning each others' motives, when appropriate. -Stillwaterising (talk) 20:15, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
What do you think my motives are? Epbr123 (talk) 20:19, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Here's an administrator who not only saves his criticisms, he showcases them: User:Malik Shabazz/Fan mail -Stillwaterising (talk) 20:24, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I really don't know, Epbr, but I've seen your methods. -Stillwaterising (talk) 20:26, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request for Discussion edit

I have archived our previous discussion at User:Stillwaterising/Epbr123. I would like you to go there and finish the discussion. I have asked for editorial insight and the resulting conversations are on my talk page. I first tried to have a conversation about the Afd for Heather Harmon on the article's talk page however you have failed to finish it. We've had our discussion on the Afd page and you've failed to finish that too. I brought my concerns to you on your talk page and the only reply I received was:

The irony of that RfA oppose still amuses me. I assure you I have no anti-porn bias, which you'll be able to see from my contributions. I'm glad your trying to expand Wikipedia's coverage on the topic, but unfortunately you've decided to write about a porn star that doesn't fulfill the notability criteria. Epbr123 (talk) 09:49, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

You then deleted the conversation without even leaving me a comment on my talk page. Even my innocent inquiry about your lack of a user page was only briefly responded to, then deleted. I'm trying in good faith to discuss this with you, but your lack of response is deeply troubling me.

I would like to know more about the Afd process. My impression is that as the originator of the Afd request you are to be the moderator of the Afd discussion, not the chief complainant. How do I request that a new moderator be enacted? What happens when the discussion is over? Who make the final decision on whether consensus was reached? --Stillwaterising (talk) 08:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, I have the right to remove content from my talk page. I will not tolerate personal attacks and assumptions of bad faith on my page. Regarding AfD, as the originator of the Afd request, I am the "chief complainant". Once the AfD discussion is over, another admin will decide what the consensus is. At the moment, the majority think the article should be deleted. Please also read the part about votestacking at WP:CANVASSING; the AfD already has a keep vote resulting from your user page messages. Epbr123 (talk) 10:26, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't care about "votes". You of all people should know about WP:DEMOCRACY. What I care about is reaching consensus, and right now I see that it is split. So what if I may solicited a few users to visit the Afd page? I've never said anything more than "please go (here) and enter your opinion." -- Stillwaterising (talk) 11:15, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re "votestacking" - I did notify the top 3 contributors of HH to go to the Afd. Ironically, one of them is looking like he'll cast a delete vote. He's either waiting to see how the discussion goes or is refraining from voting.
I would like to clear up the disagreement between us. Is there a way we can talk privately without giving out my email? Do you use one of the chat systems? -Stillwaterising (talk) 21:53, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't use any chat systems. You can email me using the "Email this user" link on the left, although it would allow me to see your address. Epbr123 (talk) 22:15, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think we're done with this conversation, you can archive it blank it if you wish. -Stillwaterising (talk) 17:05, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Janine Lindemulder/Holly Madison edit

Looks to me like that source you cite is a recycled press release, judging by the number of places it shows up in pretty much exact copies [6] [7] [8]. Funny that they're first cousins in one copy, second in another. Xbiz.com identifies it as "COMPANY PRESS," too. I therefore don't think it's a good enough ref for a BLP, but it is a much closer call than the custody stuff. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 21:06, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've now replaced it with the only non-press-release source I could find, which just refers to her as a relative. Possibly AVN did some fact-checking on the press release and changed it to first cousins. Epbr123 (talk) 21:34, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Isn't editorial oversight a requirement of a reliable secondary source? -Stillwaterising (talk) 14:50, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
My understanding is that a press release can be considered a reliable source about itself (Juicy Entertainment) but not on other topics, like Holly Madison. -Stillwaterising (talk) 18:08, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
As with any primary source, press releases can be a reliable source for some statements. Press releases are probably only a reliable source for someone's personal information if they are written by that person, rather than a company they work for. On this occassion, there's a conflict between the press statement and the AVN article, so it's best to treat neither as reliable. Epbr123 (talk) 18:38, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of District of Canterbury Credit Union edit

The article District of Canterbury Credit Union has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

not clear how this orphaned article meets notability guidelines, lacks any references to 3rd party sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Articles for deletion nomination of Battleton edit

I have nominated Battleton, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Battleton. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. — Rod talk 21:01, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

This doesn't apply to the article you created but to a later revision.— Rod talk 21:02, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tyra Banxxx edit

Why did you state it was unsourced. It was mentioned in Wikipedia that she has english background prior to my change. Norum 21:06, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • There's no source that she even has English heritage, let alone that her ethnicity is English. Epbr123 (talk) 21:33, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I am just saying what it stated before I made the change.

| ethnicity = Biracial - African American and British descent-

If there was no proof for that, well, that is another case. Norum 22:45, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Even if there's proof she is of British decent, having a British ancestor doesn't necessarily make her ethnicity British, and it certainly doesn't necessarily make her ethnicity English. Epbr123 (talk) 23:01, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Come to think of it, there can not be such thing as a British ethnicity for the simple fact that the term "British" refers to nationals of the UK and that could be either English, Scottish or Welsh. So yeah, you've got a point there. Norum 17:53, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

The link you cited doesn't apply to the talk pages, only the articles. You may disagree with what I said, but Wikipedia doesn't give you free reign to censor it. But just to humor you, I put a link to the news story in it. Neoyamaneko (talk) 23:37, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Help with copyright issue edit

Hi Epbr123, can you help me with a copyright issue. Ahmad123987 uploaded File:Arts-bocelli-horse-220.jpg which I tagged as an obvious copyright infringement as it's from Getty images, with an author mentioned. He/she removed the note and added a "why I can't upload this picture, it's a great picture" message on the file talk page. The user doesn't get copyright with pictures and has some other disregards for guidelines, like changing talk page banner ratings to FA and GA without any review etc. I don't know whether he/she also copy-pasted text. Could you delete the image and explain. I mean, the notification on the talk page says it all I would think but apparently not (it doesn't help that the user removes talk page messages of deletion). Thank you! Hekerui (talk) 12:21, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mason Moore edit

Sir, As per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mason Moore for Mason Moore , the reason stated "No significant coverage" and non compliance with WP:PORNBIO, but i would like to express my view over the issue, That i had gone through the Actress profile well, Though she is new to this genre, but still She has been covered significant under what exactly we call for Porn actress, she is not an actress from Hollywood, so we might call for significant status for her. As stated in WP:PORNBIO, Though she had not won a well-known award, such as those listed in Category:Pornographic film awards or Category:Film awards. but she had been covered & nominated in AVN Awards like that of AVN Hall of Fame. & she had contributed a lot in Porn Industry at such a little time. Well the aforementioned details are formalised, & the informal one is that, i am new to wikipedia, & would to like contribute for my lifetime, so i am looking for your positive response over this issue, Please assist me. Thanks. (  Abu Torsam  12:06, 13 December 2009 (UTC))Reply

  • The best way to show she is notable is to find reliable sources that discuss her in a fair amount of detail. I've done a fairly extensive search for sources on her, but I'm afraid I can't find any. Epbr123 (talk) 14:33, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

"St Peters compared" (Demography tables) edit

In a number of Civil Parish articles (eg Stantonbury and others), you added a demography table - all of which have the title "St Peters compared". Was this intentional? If so, why? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 16:45, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

About Alexis Malone edit

Don't forget PORNBIO only considers finalists for FAME according to the footnote. This should be a CSD G4. Morbidthoughts (talk) 00:46, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I hadn't noticed the footnote. I thought the part about "serious nominees" and FAME finalists had been lost when PORNBIO was changed. Epbr123 (talk) 13:01, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

GA Sweeps update edit

Thanks to everyone's efforts to the GA Sweeps process, we are currently over 90% done with only 226 articles remain to be swept! As always, I want to thank you for using your time to ensure the quality of the older GAs. With over 50 members participating in Sweeps, that averages out to about 4 articles per person! If each member reviews an article once a week this month (or several!), we'll be completely finished. At that point, awards will be handed out to reviewers. As an added incentive, if we complete over 100 articles reviewed this month, I will donate $100 to Wikipedia Forever on behalf of all GA Sweeps participants. I hope that this incentive will help to increase our motivation for completing Sweeps while supporting Wikipedia in the process. If you have any questions about reviews or Sweeps let me know and I'll be happy to get back to you. Again, thank you for taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 00:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
