Talk:Main Page edit

Hi I've closed the discussion on the main page re. blocked editors, as you asked basically the same thing last month. Aiken D 21:43, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Also can you please remove the tilt on this page? Many thanks. Aiken D 21:45, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Redirects edit

Please stop creating dozens of redirects to the main page from your userspace...what exactly is it that you are doing? CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:16, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

I am creating something that is supposedly humorous - finding pi. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 18:17, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
It's not really an appropriate thing to be doing though is it? How exactly is it supporting the encyclopaedia? Aiken D 18:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
UpsandDowns1234 I reverted your edits on Help:Searching as well - I'm not sure why you're mucking around with templates and help pages like that but please reconsider doing so next time. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:22, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Okay. The redirects to the main page shall be removed without delay. Tag with {{db-g7}}. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 18:24, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Plus, it is not helping the encyclopedia, but it is not hurting it either, right? UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 18:24, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
UpsandDowns1234 It's pretty excessive and not helpful for building an encyclopedia. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:27, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
@Chrissymad: Like I mentioned above, please tag those redirects with {{db-g7}}, except for User:UpsandDowns1234/pi (this explains what needs to happen). UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 18:29, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
UpsandDowns1234 This is precisely why doing things such as this is disruptive - because other editors have to clean up that mess. Since G7 is generally for articles, you should probably tag them yourself as U1. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:31, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
@Chrissymad: I will do it myself. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 18:32, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Template:Tilt has a new comment edit

Template:Tilt, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Touch keyboard listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Touch keyboard. Since you had some involvement with the Touch keyboard redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so.  ‑ Iridescent 19:17, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

OK, I think the time has come to make this official edit

Since you seem set on ignoring every attempt to explain this to you, putting this here formally:

You may be blocked from editing if you continue to disrupt Wikipedia

As Floquenbeam has already explained to you, while Wikipedia isn't all work and no play it's also not all play and no work, and your treating this site as your personal sandbox is wasting a lot of time of a lot of people, all of whom have better things to do than clean up your messes. Quit screwing around with templates, quit screwing around with userpages, quit screwing around creating pointless redirects, quit screwing around making pointless requests, and get rid of the WP:ACCESS-violating black-on-pumpkin color scheme and the constant f***ing about with the tilt attribute. If you want to contribute productively here, we're glad to have you, but Wikipedia is an educational resource, not your personal sandbox. ‑ Iridescent 23:28, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

I understand. If this color does not work, then I need help. You can change the background-color attribute to anything but green or red (those are my signature colors) or white (boring). UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 04:50, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
I came here after seeing your unnecessary dummy edit to WP:Disruptive editing. You do not need help to change the background-color of your talk page. Burninthruthesky (talk) 08:42, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
Well, just in case they do, I've done it, provisionally. UaD1234, use this or similar and Snoop's tool for the rest. Incidentally: I'm sure we've met before? Take care, — O Fortuna semper crescis, aut decrescis 09:36, 30 April 2017 (UTC)

Another warning edit

Ordinarily I would let your "mistake" pass but you have a bad habit of this. Stop wasting the time of admins and other editors. Your request was obviously not to fix a typo but to do another change you weren't even sure of. Next time I see someone posting a similar complaint here, I will block you. --NeilN talk to me 18:59, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

@NeilN: Okay. The problem in specific was: when I view the Wikipedia:Copyrights page on my iPhone in portrait mode, the important note occupies one vertical line, and I have to scroll a lot to get to the intro. There was no typo, but there was a formatting error. Not trying to waste your time here, just noticed some issue. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 19:04, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
In addition, when I made that request about an hour ago, I was debating whether I should make it or not. I did it because I was positive it was a minor, uncontroversial grammar change, but then I realized later that there was no grammar issue. It was a mistake, and I apologize for it. You can block me if you want, but please understand that it was a mistake :-(. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 19:31, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
Personally I think the issue is the repeated timewasting and fiddling with articles and templates. Why don't you improve some articles? Aiken D 19:38, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
My computer battery is low. I will get back to you ASAP. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 19:39, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

OK, that's it edit

I don't know what the hell you're playing at but enough is enough. The only reason I'm not blocking you for this is because I'm the editor who's comments you're changing and am thus WP:INVOLVED. You've wasted more than enough peoples' time playing your envelope-pushing games; if I see any more disruption from you, of any kind, you're indefinitely blocked. ‑ Iridescent 19:56, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

(adding) NeilN, I now notice that UAD was editing my comments on this page after your final warning, above. Feel free to pull the plug here. ‑ Iridescent 19:58, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

May 2017 edit

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NeilN talk to me 20:09, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

You need to take this time and decide what you're here for. If you truly cannot help making edits like this and the like please let me know and I will make this block an indefinite one. --NeilN talk to me 20:13, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Please extend my block edit

I do not want to very blocked indefinitely, however, I have been on Wikipedia for too long. Can you please extend my block to July 2, 2017 at 12PM PST? UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) (My Contribs) 22:38, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Done. --NeilN talk to me 02:02, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
Last thing - can you please add a {{blocked user}} template to alert other users that I am blocked? UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 21:01, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
Also, please turn off autoblock - my regular block has expired and it is causing collateral damage for other users on the network. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 15:34, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
I've turned off the autoblock. --NeilN talk to me 15:51, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
@NeilN: Finally, there are also some interface disruptive user scripts that prevent me from using the monobook skin. Can you please remove them? Thanks, and see you on July 2, 2017. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 07:12, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
I think you can survive without the monobook skin until July 2. --NeilN talk to me 13:09, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
You're right. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 16:12, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
But now that my school has ended, can you change the Wikibreak template to a blocked from editing template? Thanks. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 21:42, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Clearly you can edit your own talk page. Do it yourself? Primefac (talk) 21:47, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
It is a transclusion of /switch, which I cannot edit. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 21:49, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

@Primefac: I am currently blocked from editing (see above). I may not be able to update this draft. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 17:53, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
That's fine, there's no rush (it won't be going anywhere for at least six months). Primefac (talk) 17:55, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
@Primefac:: I actually think this is bad for an encyclopedia. Move it to my userspace. UpsandDowns1234 (🗨) 07:58, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
 Done. It's now at User:UpsandDowns1234/ConfirmDialog. Primefac (talk) 18:39, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
