RIAA search parsing link

Recently, I saw other songs' RIAA search link, these result shows empty, especially Wind Beneath My Wings if I can remember correctly last month that RIAA link was ok, plus Diana (album) and above-mentioned Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do), and other Time Person of the Year Taylor Swift Exile (song), Evermore (Taylor Swift album), Midnights and other like Wrapped in Red, Save Me (Jelly Roll song)...to me it's seemed recently RIAA website has some problem...so I guessing it has nothing to do with this template...am I right? (For the time being if I had encounter similar problem I would put a <certref> workaround..) --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 05:38, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

Also just found out Roam RIAA search link not working too, it was working 2 weeks ago (at least when I tried update to remove apostrophe at that time) --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 04:44, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
Indeed, the RIAA search is not working for some time now from direct links, only manual links do. Do you think it would help if I add the comment "Manual searching is required." to all the RIAA links? Muhandes (talk) 08:47, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
If it is me, I would say (Please manually enter an URL using certref=(ref)...(/ref)) for now.
I just now looking at the template.
(I happened to found RIAA website erratic for past 2 weeks, since 27 December)
(Also as I found out during Special:Diff/1192026000, if I were to replace ar= with se= (For say se=Christopher+Cross or se=Diana instead of ar, it will show the correct result) --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 09:21, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
I missed - Solidest Special:Diff/1192156895 found out that RIAA will show nothing if enter something in <<Artist>> and nothing more, which is why I guessed that problem lies with <<Artist>>, and so is <<ar>> and replace with <<se>> and it seemed to work. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 09:26, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
@Cat12zu3: We could temporarily replace ar+ti+format with se, but that would mean using a generic search where there are better solutions. As you noticed, ar+format searches do work, e.g., all Taylor Swift's singles, as do ti searches, e.g., all recordings with the word "Exile", but ar+ti or ti+format searches seem to fail. If this observation is correct, I could implement either ar+format or ti as temporary solutions, and I think both are better than se. Muhandes (talk) 10:10, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
I stuck most of the time on Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) & If I Could Tell You...at the moment is these Arthur's Theme If I Could Tell You...will back get here soon. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 11:21, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
I think if I would leave the template as it is --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 11:28, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
Well, if no one is interested in a solution, I would consider this a   Request withdrawn. Muhandes (talk) 11:38, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

NVPI certifications

NVPI have updated their web page for certifications to https://nvpi.nl/nvpi-audio/marktinformatie/goud-platina-diamant/ to reflect the introduction of diamond certifications. The thresholds for the other levels also appear to have changed according to their regulations document, but the numbers don't round up nicely when converting streams to units. The template needs to be updated as the old link no longer works. ThedancingMOONpolice (talk) 05:04, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

@ThedancingMOONpolice: I apologize for not finding the time to do this until now. I am very busy these days, but sadly, no one else has stepped forward to keep this template updated.
  • I updated the URL, it should now work.
  • I updated NVPI with the new certification levels.
  • I am working on making the template spit out the correct numbers, though like you said, they are not rounding up nicely. Another thing I noted is that up to now, the certification levels were based on release date. I'm not sure this was ever true, but I'm almost certain it is no longer true, i.e., the new certification levels apply to all certifications made from 2024 onwards, independent of release date. Is that also your impression? --Muhandes (talk) 13:00, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
I noticed another issue. Jazz and classical certifications applied to albums only before 2024, where now it seems like it might apply to singles as well. It would be very difficult to implement this, so for now I will leave it be until we see actual single Jazz certifications. --Muhandes (talk) 14:55, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
Done I went with certification date for 2024 onwards and release date prior to that, to maintain backwards compatibility. I implemented jazz albums only (through |type=jazz). Let me know if there are any issues. --Muhandes (talk) 15:22, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

Portugal certifications

AFP has updated the Portuguese certification levels for albums and singles, adding a diamond certification for the first time. Every song, regardless of its release date will now be counted towards the new thresholds. The table needs to be updated with those please. 2024 ARIA

Could someone update the 2024 ARIA accreditations links for both albums and singles? [1] [2]. Ippantekina (talk) 11:01, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

Music01, the biggest problem here is that Dropbox files fail WP:USERG. They don't have a named author or publisher, and anybody can log in to Dropbox and change the information. Another big problem is that the links you provided are already dead. We need stable URLs for certification. Binksternet (talk) 21:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
