Super Castlevania IV

edit

As it turns out, Yoshiyuki Matsumoto from Treasure worked on Super Castlevania IV. He was a player and enemy programmer credited as "Yaipon." He is pretty major at Treasure, working as a programmer for many of their games, including being a main programmer for Gunstar Heroes, Bangai-O and Astro Boy. He is also credited as "Yaiman."

Treasure Members

edit

There's a lot of unsubstantiated information regarding the roles Treasure members had in Konami games prior to foundation. I've been carefull not to rule out involvement in games by using neutral language such as "identifiable employees". But please only include reference to Konami games if you can prove it through credits, such as: http://sfkosmo.gamersgraveyard.com/treasure//related/related.html Or from sources such as credible interviews. Does anyone know what Treasure's role exactly was in the GBA Astro Boy game? Even reading the copyright on the back of the box, it's not at all clear... ~ FriedMilk 20:01, 2004 Aug 20 (UTC)

Dynamite Headdy on the SNES? This must be wrong. AFAIK it was only for Genesis and Game Gear.

SNES Dynamite Headdy

This game will be "stricken from the records" as I have seen no physical proof of its existance. Treasure's own website (http://www.treasure-inc.co.jp/corp/corp.html) does not list any Super Famicom (SNES) games, however does list *every* single game they have made besides that (excluding Sega Game Gear and SMS variants, which were supposedly ported to those platforms by Tec Toy), and there is no sign of the game in Cowering's GoodSNES database of SFC/SNES ROMs - I highly doubt that a game this significant hasn't been found/dumped by now (2005). For what it's worth, it has a page on GameFAQs: [1]. - Vague | Rant 10:14, Feb 1, 2005 (UTC)
Yes, that's the only thing I could find on Google, and it says nothing about the game. Besides that I've never heard a single thing about it. It must be an error or just some rumour. There's also the fact the game is copyrighted and published by Sega Enterprises, Ltd., which makes me doubt it exists several hundred times more. --Zilog Jones 15:13, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Move Discussion

edit

On the main page, some one had placed a header that says "It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Treasure." Since Treasure is a completely different article, I will immedately vote a big no. I will go ahead and remove from the article the header as well. Eric42 15:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Can I please ask people to stop making every mention of a game a link? We don't need to link to Ikaruga four or five times in the same article - that's absolute overkill. The first mention in the article (or in the aforementioned example, in the list, since that's where most people'd look for it) is more than sufficient. Four times... no. Just no. --Shadow Hog 03:54, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Unnamed Treasure Shooter"

edit

The article is unreferenced original research. Wikipedia is not some random rumour site. Out it goes until the thing at least has a name. Chris Cunningham 01:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Numerous official interviews have discussed the game at length. Calling it a rumor is absurdFrogacuda 16:22, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stubified

edit

Someone came through and deleted the bulk of the article because of long standing article issues. There's nothing on the talk page to indicate why those tags were placed there; anyone want to clarify or help figure out what needs to be done so we can start removing those tags properly? They've been there for a year. Instead of reverting to that problem version, then, find sources for what games they've developed, their revenue, etc. Will (talk) 09:10, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I added as much as I think I was able to on short notice. There are a couple sources now for their games and creation, though they may need fixing as I'm sort of new at stuff like this. I thought the rest of that first paragraph was able to fit in correctly, since the sources are found at the Wiki articles for each of the games, and are cited themselves. I'm not entirely sure if that applies, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that too. Ephidel (talk) 23:47, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Public or Private?

edit

The second paragraph of the introduction says that they are a "privately held company," but the info sidebar on the right says "Type: Public". This should be corrected or clarified.
