Accroding to this article: “that most soccer fans do not know that many of their admired idols are Gypsies.” He listed them, too many to count, but including fantastic players like Eric Cantona, Hristo Stoichkov..."[1]

The lead doesn't conform to WP:PEACOCK and WP:WEASEL. It is the statement that he was the greatest footballer of all time repeated several times in different phrasings. Please state facts not opinions. At least not in the lead. --Ghirla -трёп- 11:58, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The biography is alittle confusing- we have conflcting info from http://www.expertfootball.com/players/stoichkov/biography.php and the official site, but the first one looks more complete. Can anybody confirm? Stellatomailing 17:13, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Smoking

edit

I read somewhere that he was a chain smoker. Is that true? If so it could be added. ABart26 09:09, 22 October 2006 (UTC) Hristo Stoichkov is not smoker nor alcoholic drinker!Reply

edit

"In 1998 he was awarded the gold boot for his participation in the Boy George Soccer Video" this was under barcelona and is obviously not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.240.29.194 (talk) 07:38, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

When did he join CSKA Sofia for the first time?

edit

The article variously says he joined in 1984 and in early 1985, whereas Transfermarkt says he joined in July 1984 and UEFA say he joined in January 1985. Anyone know for sure? Is there a published biography (auto or otherwise) that we could refer to? – PeeJay 18:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
