Spanish divers on the Pedro Cays edit

I haven't heard anything about them since the initial reports, so I am assuming that they were never actually out there. I am saving the original text here, just in case we need it.

17 people, believed to be Spanish divers, refused to leave the Pedro Cays and were stuck on the sandbank 50 miles (80 km) south of the main island to weather the hurricane.[1] Hurricane Dean passed 50-60 miles (80 - 97 km) south of Jamaica, directly over the Pedro Cays.[2] The highest point on the Cays is less than 5 meters above sea level.[3]

GA Review edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:Effects of Hurricane Dean in the Greater Antilles/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose):   b (MoS):
The writing needs work. Aside from an overall copyedit, the biggest problem is that numerous one-sentence paragraphs. Try to merge as many as you can together. Also, per MoS, don't begin sentences with a number character.
I have looked through it a few times. What do you think of the new revision? Plasticup T/C 12:39, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
Just {{cite web}} the three or so bare refs.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
Are you sure no more impact information can be included? The Haiti and Jamaica sections seem to need some fleshing out.
I see what you mean, but there isn't that much to add. Dean's effects, while significant, were much lighter than you might expect from a Cat4/5. Hopefully by merging the Haiti and Dominican Republic sections in Hispanola I have stopped them looking all strung out. Plasticup T/C 12:39, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Some more images would be nice, but it passes.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

A decent article, but it needs some work. I put the article on hold for now. When these issues are addressed, ping me on my talk page. Cheers! –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 16:36, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article is much improved since I began the review. Looks like the content is there, and the prose has been improved as well. I'll pass, but before FA, there are some minor MoS and prose issues that need to be addressed. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 13:19, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
