References and sources edit

I gave this page all the references and sources it required so I removed to notability notification that were on top of the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SeeminglySubdued (talkcontribs) 14:32, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

First party sources(directly affiliated with Dyrus, or LoL) are good and usable, but third party sources(like GameSpot) are generally used to gauge notability, so we need more of those in this article. Blake (Talk·Edits) 15:05, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Why were the pictures removed? edit

I already posted full evidence of Riot's approval of using the images, why were they removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SeeminglySubdued (talkcontribs) 21:29, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Marcus "Dyrus" HillDyrus – "Dyrus" is unambiguous and satisfies WP:CONCISE. Additionally, many publications simply refer to him as "Dyrus" rather than his full name. --Relisted. Steel1943 (talk) 21:20, 11 May 2015 (UTC) MBD123 (talk) 23:57, 2 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment, looking at the title Dyrus, I think that most people would have no clue what this was. Its not even necessarily recognisable as a person. GregKaye 19:50, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment it is not unambiguous, per another topic with this name List_of_Spectrobes_characters#Dyrus -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:30, 4 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support "I think that most people would have no clue what this was" well obviously you wouldn't know what it was if he was a professional gamer you'd never heard of. Per WP:COMMONNAME, it should be changed to Dyrus, or at least Dyrus (League of Legends player). In fact his twitter and twitch accounts don't even mention his full name.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 18:53, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - If no one is familiar with "Dyrus" and knows what "Dyrus" is, then why renaming it? The redirect "Dyrus" should be the disambiguation page. As for the parenthetical disambiguation, any suggestion based on it looks undesirable. George Ho away from home (talk) 20:56, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Support WP:CONCISE and unambiguous. (We could hatnote to the video game character, though that seems a fairly trivial usage.) It's not our place to police whether this guy chose a good screen name or not. --BDD (talk) 14:20, 9 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
    • Comment @GregKaye: Whether or not the page is "not recognisable as a person" is irrelevant. WP:NICKNAME/WP:STAGENAME clearly states that is a person is known professionally by some name other than their legal name, it should be used in the title. Besides, under this assumption you could say Sacagawea or Ishi are "not recognisable as a person", or really any other name that doesn't follow Western naming conventions.--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 18:47, 9 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
