Merge?

edit

I noticed you requested to merge this into Wii Menu. i don't think it should be. This article is far too extensive to be merged. Also, it is notable per AfD failure. Smartyllama (talk) 13:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

No way Jose'

edit

I don't know what Wikipedia is thinking. This should not be moved. It helps having ore information on one thing. It's just like all the T-V shows. They cut down the orginal pages and pushed them into one big page. I just wis th keptthi pag and made there own pge for the news channel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.199.205 (talk) 04:24, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Release date

edit

It was the 11th in the US, but if you want to use UTC, you must also use the date in Britain. [1] says 11th in the US, and we all agree it was released at 7:45 PM EST on whatever day, so that would be 12:45 AM UTC on the 12th. Smartyllama (talk) 17:50, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Japanese contests

edit

If anybody here has access to a Japanese wii and cares to translate, I am very curious as to what kind of contests they are having. --68.13.115.6 (talk) 19:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I second that!  Doktor  Wilhelm  14:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of contests

edit

We really shouldn't have a list of contests here. It will get far too large far too quickly, and is too trivial for an encyclopaedia (see WP:NOT). I suggest we move it to a page on GamerWiki - I'll create that and move it this week unless there are overwhelming objections. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 12:06, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

If the tables can be made to be clapsable or some such, then it would be a smaller article, there has already been an attempt to delete this article, but the result was to keep. I can not find the part in WP:NOT that says that this article is too trivial for an encyclopaedia.  Doktor  Wilhelm  12:39, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not saying the article itself is trivial, only the lists of contests. See similar discussion on the Everybody Votes Channel. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 16:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've created a page at http://www.gamerwiki.com/index.php/Mii_Contest_Channel_%28Wii%29/Contests - it needs some reformatting but the basic info is there already. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 00:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
While I agree the discussion on Everybody Votes Channel decided that the content should be removed, it does not mean the same has to happen here! Also, if it is found that the content should be removed, then I believe that the most notable contests, the ones featuring nintendo chracters (unlike the Everybody Votes Channel, which doesn't feature any Nintendo related content), should be kept on here, maybe in a different format? or as something like:
Notable contests in 2007
Contest Theme Region Date first seen Date of Results
Mario without his cap   November 11, 2007 November 26, 2007
Luigi without his cap   December 13, 2007 December 26, 2007
Notable contests in 2008
Etc, etc.
 Doktor  Wilhelm  00:51, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
That sounds a good compromise. The longer list off Wikipedia,. and the notable one on it. Tim (Xevious) (talk) 15:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

References needed

edit

Can someone please put some reliable sources up in the article, so we can remove the tag? (I don't have time to do it right now). Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 15:42, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merge into Mii?

edit

The thing of it is, I believe that since this channel is just about Mii and is pretty much discussing "Mii uploading, downloading, and contests". It could be merged quite easily. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

We might concider that! Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 20:40, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
