I can understand difficulties.
Any ways to get help from US university libraries which may have digitized very old publications. I am asking since one more topic is stalled since old publications show up on Google Books due to digitization by these libraries but no known ways to get direct help from those digital data. Employee Relations Management edit

I plan to work on the articles dealing with Labour in India in general and the gamut of labour legislations in India in particular in the near future, and would appreciate if someone with access to this specific book can send me the chapters falling in the aforementioned page range. Google Books offers a preview, but with many pages missing, so not very helpful. Scribd.com hosts the book for free reading, but apparently requires a subscription for download, and with a not so convenient reading interface, so a pdf would really help!

Images with watermark edit

For Simota Vase. As you can see on the link of the citation the article is actually in free access. However, the university that digitized it left a watermark in each page. There are three figures in the article which I would like to use to illustrate this upcoming Wikipedia page I will write, but I need them without the watermarks. The three figures are right below the last page, page 36. I am not sure how to cite this so I did not include it in the citation. To conclude, I only need the three figures, without watermarks. I will then upload them to Commons to use them as their copyright has expired. Here is a link to each of them [1] [2] [3] so that you know what I'm talking about.

Not sure if this can be done but I'd greatly appreciate it if it was possible. Super Ψ Dro 16:32, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fashion / Sense by Gwenda-lin Grewal edit

  • Grewal, Gwenda-lin. Fashion / Sense On Philosophy and Fashion.

Hello, hoping someone can help me out with this. I can see from GBooks preview that this book has a number of references to Alexander McQueen, but the clips are too short to see if they're any kind of in-depth analysis. My local library doesn't wish to purchase a copy, and there's no copies anywhere in my province for me to ILL (practically a first). It's too new for Internet Archive, and other, less salubrious methods have also failed. I would rather not fork out $30 for a book that turns out to be useless, if possible, so I'm hoping someone here has a copy local to them, and would be willing to send me scans of pages which mention Alexander McQueen. Based on GBooks preview, I think this may be useful for oyster dress, armadillo shoe, the main Alexander McQueen article, at the very least, as well as likely future articles skull scarf and Highland Rape, and of course any McQueen collection article I can't see in the preview. In other words - if the mentions are in any depth, it would be very helpful indeed. Thanks, ♠PMC(talk) 07:01, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, just realized this might be a whole book (is it?) instead of an article, and I can't very well ask someone to send me a pdf of an entire book (even if it were available). My goal, here, is to add another paragraph or two of good content to Draft:Ships of the Roman Empire § Navis oneraria, so if this source is a whole book, maybe if it has a "Foreword" or "Introduction", or even a "Conclusion" section, a couple of pages from one of those, from which a decent summary could be written to add to the Draft section would be ideal. • Grady, D. F.; Dahl, W. D.; Orsino, R.J. (Feb 1970), "AN/SPS-48B Operational Program Baseline Tests", NRL Test and Evaluation Report 109, Naval Research Laboratory

For AN/SPS-48, the AN/SPS-48B is in this odd spot where there's a bunch of references to it *existing* on things, but nobody ever actually stops to say what it was or what the changes were. This is probably something where there's one copy sitting in some filing cabinet in the bowels of the U.S. Government, but anything helps if y'all can get ahold of something useful.

For Platyrhinidae, also probably will try to make article of Tethybatis itself and fossil site Calcari di Melissano

Paper about the earliest platyrhinid Tethybatis, which had shark-like fin. There is preview of the PDF but only the first page.[6] Google book version[7] looks also inaccessible.
