Allow me to present Roy Drummond (nicknamed from youth, and later officially, "Peter"), a World War I ace and one of the highest-ranking Australians to serve in the Royal Air Force. Having created this ten years ago, my memory's a little hazy, but I think I became interested in him because for a while it looked like he might be the solution to the long-running conflict between George Jones and William Bostock over command of the Royal Australian Air Force in World War II. It wasn't to be, though -- the Jones-Bostock feud continued to simmer and Drummond ended up losing his life in a plane crash over the Azores in 1945. This has been GA for yonks but I was never satisfied with some of the sourcing, so have recently expanded it and improved the referencing to a level I think commensurate with A-Class, and perhaps FA.     • I thought "numbered No." was a bit much, and in fact if you check the RAF website I think they tend to use just the figure without "No." in front.

  • the sentence beginning "According to his own account..." is really too long, and could be broken up into three
    • I thought keeping it all together with commas and semi-colon made it clearer that it was all his account and therefore the quotes were all his, but have split into three sentences as suggested.
  • suggest "and the newly-formed Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)"?
    • Fair enough.
  • was his wife a relation of any of the notable Drake-Brockman's?

  • in the Early career section, I suggest adding his date of birth
  • a couple of the images are lacking alt text, which you may wish to add (although it isn't a requirement): [2]

  • there are no dab links, and the external links all work (no action required)
  • the article is well written and referenced in a consistent manner (no action required)

  • is there an oclc number that could be added for the Australian Encyclopedia volume in the References?
