Request on 10:31:55, 14 November 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Jeremy blank edit

<Hello, I am unsure what is going on here or what this refers to. Please advise which post this refers to as I am unable to work out what the potential deletion refers to.

I have also had a challenge to an image of mine, of my creation and claimed by me which has been challenged by your editor Stefan2

whom I see has been challenged himself for his editorial decisions. There has been no communication with me ahead of his challenge to my authorship. The work appears on my blog and was exhibited in London at City racing Gallery 1994>

@Jeremy blank: I see you have an issue with the challenge to File:At Arms Length.jpeg. You need to do two things to address this:
  1. Visit Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2015_November_13#File:At_Arms_Length.jpeg when're you may lodge any reasonable comment that is appropriate regarding the file's copyright status
  2. Read WP:Donating copyright material to learn how to verify your ownership of the copyright and thus how to resolve the problem for all time
Please do not impugn the character of another editor here. They have quite simply found something they believe is incorrect and have done something about ensuring that the copyright owner is protected.
Generally, this help desk is for draft articles passing through the WP:AFC process, but we do answer other questions where we can. Thank you for asking this. Fiddle Faddle 20:11, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeremy blank: Having studied the file and your assertion at the file that you are the copyright owner, my opinion is that this assertion is probably sufficient. I do, however, recommend that you follow the process to prove your ownership to ensure all doubt is avoided in the future. I'm sure you would hope for this were someone abusing your copyright. 17:25:56, 14 November 2015 review of submission by WmArbaugh edit

I'm writing to ask advice - I'm wondering where the promotional tone is - I've tried to source almost everything, and as I've been working on Louisville, Kentucky inventors, I admit this person intrigues me, but I've tried to be very mindful of using an encyclopedic tone. That's why I thanked LaMona for the help with those edits.

Is the concern due in part to the article is about an inventor and his achievements? The subject of this entry created and patented a unique way to cook food that is used by chefs in restaurant and commercial kitchens throughout the world, his patents kicked off the mass-production of fast-food in the 1960s and his patents on washing machines are still in use after 57 years. Perhaps the facts sound promotional, but they're verified by objective sources.

Please point out the promotional tone in the draft and could someone point to an example of a more objectively written entry of an inventor? Every entry I see on Wikipedia about an inventor seems promotional (some very promotional) when their accomplishments are discussed.

Thanks again for everyone's efforts to make Wikipedia a great resource! WmArbaugh (talk) 17:25, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

23:56:12, 14 November 2015 review of submission by Mollyannprice edit

I would like help revising my article page, so it will be accepted. It was declined after review, I need help!

Mollyannprice (talk) 23:56, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Mollyannprice: Hi, thanks for stopping by the Help Desk. A good place to start is at WP:N, which talks about what notability is on Wikipedia. In brief, articles on Wikipedia need to have rely on a variety of reliable, independent sources that discuss the subject in significant detail. That's one of the issues with the draft User:Mollyannprice/Polly Punkneck so far: some of the references aren't from reliable sources (Discogs, Wikipedia, which is not a reliable source on Wikipedia), others don't offer much detail (MusicBrainz), and still others are primary sources that lack independence from the subject (punknecks).
Next, try reading WP:NMUSIC, which explains a few ways that musicians can be presumed notable. If you can demonstrate that the subject meets one of the criteria listed there, that will go a long way toward improving the article.
Let us know if you have further questions, please let us know. Thanks! /wia /tlk 03:16, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The draft is an autobiography, and the submission of autobiographies is strongly discouraged due to conflict of interest. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:47, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
