Propose merging Template:Video game multiple platforms reviews with Template:Video game reviews.
I have created the merger code that is working 100%, the code is done in lua and I have been testing the speed with the Parser profiling data every time the lua one loads around 250 ms while the template code loads in 300+ ms. That isn't the main reason why I have asked for the change. If one template is used it would be easier to then change the look on an individual article without changing the template, and the maintenance would not be parallel to each other. The template name will stay the same for {{Video game reviews}}, but the code will be from {{Video game multiple platforms reviews}}. A side by side comparison can be found here. To explain in a little more detail the reason why a consensus is needed is due to a style change in the template, the functionality is 100% the same. This consensus will also allow for us to add or change the details and layouts of the templates before the merge. A side note, even though the code is not optimal it is way faster than the current template code, more explained below.

Future of the template: I will begin a code rewrite in a testcases page when the final style is agreed upon and implemented, the rewrite is going to be mainly for the multiple platforms section and will not interfere with the current Video game reviews part. One of the changes that will be for the multiple platforms section is a for loop that makes an array of the input args like so... {{IGN, {XBOX, PS3, WII}}, {Edge, {PS3, WII}}}. Which should shorten the code needed and could increase the performance.Cky2250 (talk) 20:10, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
