Natural gas and petroleum in Bangladesh

The article's topic is interesting and important but it was deleted under WP:G5 (sockpuppetry provision) after being moved from Natural gas in Bangladesh. The article was made by User:Merchant of Asia, sock of User:Bazaan (ref). I did not find any AfD discussions. According to this G5 quote:

  • To qualify, the edit must be a violation of the user's block or ban. For example, pages created by a topic-banned user may be deleted if they come under that particular topic, but not if they are in some other topic.

The topic is interesting enough that the article shouldn't have been deleted. For example, if the United Nations article was made by a user who was participating in sock puppetry, that would not make it eligible for speedy deletion, would it? I believe the deletion of the article occured without any discussion or even check of the article's topic. In fact, Bangladesh's largest natural resource under use is probably natural gas. -– Nahiyan8 (talk | contribs) 20:41, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Broadway Plaza (Walnut Creek)

A notable and historic shopping center in the middle of a major city, yet somehow it doesn't have a wikipedia page. I'm not really sure why it was deleted in the first place. I've found a number of pages that were deleted on WP:G5 (sockpuppetry provision) because of alleged creation by User:Bazaan/User:Merchant of Asia. As my last request above found that page was not actually made by the user, I have suspicion that some of these were also incorrectly deleted on that basis. According to WP:BLOCKEVASION:

Anyone is free to revert any edits made in violation of a block, without giving any further reason and without regard to the three-revert rule. This does not mean that edits must be reverted just because they were made by a blocked editor (obviously helpful changes, such as fixing typos or undoing vandalism, can be allowed to stand), but the presumption in ambiguous cases should be to revert.

These pages are very interesting and important, but I have some separate concerns on some of them as well. I have not found any AfDs on these that I list.

Phrases like "believed to be the first of its kind" are pretty promotional and just offhand it looks like the article would need to be completely re-written in order to meet the NPOV policy. I'm also a little leery about your phrasing that you'd re-write and re-edit this "later". If by some chance this would be restored (which is extremely unlikely) it would need to be edited now rather than later as it would be extremely likely that the page would just be re-nominated for speedy deletion. If you are interested in creating a new version I'd recommend going through WP:AfC, since there does appear to be a WP:COI here.   •   Not done This is pretty unambiguously promotional and you'd have to completely re-write this to meet NPOV guidelines. For example, sentences like this are filled with PR WK:PUFFERY: " Since officially launching in 1988 from a small base in London, CCO supplies have become one of the UK's leading suppliers of IT products, computer consumables, stationery, office furniture, printers and printer products." I could e-mail you a copy of the article but I really think that you'd be better off starting from scratch. Given the article's tone I think that it's likely that you are either part of the company's marketing team or part of a PR company hired to write the article. If this is the case then you will need to read over the article at WP:COI and disclose this on your userpage. You will also need to be careful about how you phrase things since marketing people are used to writing in a promotional tone and as such, will be unlikely to pick up on promotional tones. I've known paid editors who scrutinized and continually re-wrote articles but missed obvious PR buzzwords because they were just that used to them.   •   Not done Articles deleted via WP:G11 will not be restored on Wikipedia and the article was very promotional. The features section is a good example of this, as referring to the reader as "you" and telling them about how useful the product will be comes across as promotional. This might have been unintentional on your part, but this is a fairly good example as to why people with a conflict of interest should not edit/create articles about something they're affiliated with. As far as it being part of a competition, that's not a good reason for inclusion either- and if anything, I'd highly recommend that you inform the contest holders that making Wikipedia a requirement for the contest is a very bad idea- especially if the contest is for new or obscure software that hasn't received enough coverage to pass notability guidelines. As for Microsoft having an article, their article is on Wikipedia because they pass notability guidelines for software. Saying that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not really a reason for inclusion since the article in question may pass notability guidelines in a way that this did not or could fail notability guidelines but just have not been detected yet.
