I (1966) earned a degree in Chemistry in 1991 from Utrecht University on work using Ab initio quantum chemistry methods and visualisation of molecular forcefields based on Distributed multipole analysis. Next i acquired a doctorate in Chemistry in 1995 from Eindhoven University of Technology in the realm of Complexity Science which lead to a thesis on the Aggregation and Ageing Phenomena in Silica Gels using Agent Based Modeling. I'm also interested in Innovation, Organisational change and Participatory Narrative Inquiry (formerly known as Narrative Sensemaking) and Democracy.
Professional edit
From 1995 until 2010 I worked as a Researcher at Océ. Some subjects in those 15 years were agent-based modelling, user- and market-research, document and records management, product development management, software architecture, industry consolidation, cybernetics and systems viability, (services) innovation management, competitive intelligence and narrative methods.
In 2010 I left to co-found TOP innosense[1] with 3 partners. TOP innosense researches and develops narrative-based solutions and services for customers to better understand their organizations, risks, markets, and customers and for governments to improve functioning of society, democratic processes, improve inclusiveness and security. TOP innosense now mainly operates under the StoryConnect[2] brand to develop and support Narrative Business Solutions.
