I don't think the sharpness is there to get it successfully past a FP nomination. when you zoom in it seems to be mostly out of focus, also generally shots like this for FP are done as composites to make very large images from multiple smaller ones, to give you that sharpness. Also note that the colors for the foliage seem muted and not very vibrant. A good picture but probably not FP quality. — raeky ^{(talk | edits)} 09:39, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The other key problem is that it's been overly downsampled, leaving quite visible compression artifacts. If this was done poorly it may also have impacted sharpness. If the creator was a Wikipedian perhaps a higher quality version could be requested, but sharpness still may not be sufficient even after editing. Appears to be a bit of lens distortion too. Otherwise agree though that it's a very good shot. Given the location (relatively rare for us to get photos from here I expect) it could be suitable for Valued Pictures. --jjron (talk) 01:01, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
