Also nominating the remainder of the images [12] uploaded by User:Troyboysc (aside from logos, which are acceptable as "fair use" images). The user admitted on User talk:Troyboysc#Response to Picture Questions that some or all of these pictures are a compilation from different sources and not original work. All of these images have the same GFDL tag, but they all appear to be just downloaded from USC's website or somewhere similar. Even many of the ones labeled "Self Made File" are obviously not. I have searched and found the actual sources of a number of images above and, unless there is an objection, I believe that we can infer that the rest are CV and it is not necessary to spend time searching for sources for all of them. Uploaded by Annon Kaies Zi (notify | contribs). OR, UE, tagged as GFDL, but according to the image description page, it is a derivative work of another image. The copyright status of the original image is not readily obvious. BigDT01:49, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I found a lower resolution version of this image that was being used. I have replaced references to it with this image and tagged the lower resolution version for a speedy. This image appears to me to constitute fair use, so I have struck its license tag and tagged it appropriately. BigDT15:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uploaded by Kallath (notify | contribs). Fails "no free equivalent is available or could be created" of WP fair use policy. It is quite easy for someone to go to a public place like UW, take pictures, and release them under a free license. Additionally, the image has a watermark. Punctured Bicycle 21:51, 18 August 2006 (UTC) I received permission from the photographer to post the images on the UW article. The images are perfectly legal and were posted for lack of any better quality digital photos that Punctured Bicycle speaks of. The fact of the matter is that the other photos on the UW article had dubious copyrights. At least these ones do not, and they're only temporary until better photos can be obtained. --Kallath17:10, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
