Lilian Garcia
editHi, I notice you tend to remove some fansite links on the Lilian Garcia Section. I would just like for you to know that www.liliangarcia.net has been around alot longer then l-g.com. It also features a larger photo gallery, more consistant news & updates and loads more. Could you please leave it on her external links section for the "one fansite". If you would check it out yourself and see how much better of a fansite it is then please do so. I think users who are looking for a fansite should be able to goto the one that is just better overall.
Thank You for your time, vulture2007 · (talk) ·
I got your talk and I still think your wrong. What do you look for in terms of most professional and so on? What are the guidelines when looking at something like a fansite?
Honestly are you one of the webmasters of the website or friends? I really think you are wrong. LGN is one of the most professional websites around. I myself have several other *non wrestling* fansites. Ive been doing them for nearly 10 years. LGN is one of the sites I am most proud to have.
But please, what makes LGC better?
Got your new reply. You actually look at the layout? LGC layout is terrible. It has blurry/fuzzy photos, it is fairly hard to navtigate and requires extra clicking.
My site also gets more traffic. I am sure you compared the two sites when it came to traffic as you said. Well if you look, my site uses Coppermine photo gallery, theirs does not. So because they dont their site counter adds more hits. If you were to add my coppermine "hits" along with the front page of LGN hits, it would total out to be more.
I know this seems to be based on your sole opinion and I can respect that. But if you took alot of time and really looked at LGN over LGC. LGN is much better. We have more photos as I said, more media, MORE FAN SUBMISSIONS, more multimedia for the users, more articles/interviews AND a Messageboard!! Seriously LGN has loads more content. LGN also has more frequent updates. I know for a fact LGC has taken content from LGN itself for them to use.
I am a huge wrestling fan myself, for 22 years strong. I also love the wwe divas and I feel Lilian is vastly underrated, hence why I made a fansite for her. I am not adding my site just because "its mine". I added it because I feel its the best of the 3 that are exsistance. Everything I have stated on the above supports it and if you looked very close at the two sites content and presentation, LGN is much more pleasing experience overall.
Guess I wont get a reply from the post above. Deep down you would know I am correct if you sat down for awhile and compared the two. Real shame for Lilian Fans who are looking for a great site with info will be going to a poor one at that.
Barry Orton Facts are Whack!
editLil crazy thing, (hereafter referred to as, LCT) -- hopefully, this will grab your attention. i was notified by an associate regarding a few inaccurate/faulty facts in the body of my wikipedia entry. while curiously investigating resources i navigated to you, ...LCT. subsequent to qualified information you have posted i have determined you, it would appear, as being the biographical scholar and premier architect of the page listings dedicated to myself, as well as, my father, brother and nephew.
before going further i'd like to thank you for the interest and dedication in your efforts. i am personally honored and rather confident those aforementioned clansman share that sentiment. rest assured it is not my intention to declare a grievance, stead, offer you an entirely authenticated, fact-check resource. i am far too predisposed to make changes myself (just tracking and interpreting how to make contact was a bit too reflective of a full semester of trig). therefore, i'll list the following email addy:- (delete by lil_crazy_thing) -- shoot me terse missive when you have a free moment and i'll reply with corrections and updates if necessary or felicitous. also, if it's not an inconvenience or imposition, perhaps, you can humor my curiosity by agreeing to answer a couple of casual inquisitions in relation to to this effect. ...thanks, once again... i look forward to hearing from you in the near future -- meanwhile, all the best
respectfully, randal 'barry o' orton-barlow

editBoth of you are right to some extent. Marissa shouldn't be added because she has never appeared on WWE Television or any other publication of WWE. editI realize that Rene Dupree isn't active on the hasn't been active on the RAW roster as of recent history. Wreckless Intent
editHey, I just noticed you're moving all the stuff back to "Reckless". Before you do anymore, I'm telling you WWE.com have announced it to be "Wreckless" now [1]. Thanks. --Oakster 06:48, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's cool. I was the same, defending the "Reckless" spelling until I read that. --Oakster 07:31, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Truce
editAlthough it is clear that we have not gotten along, I am here to offer a truce. I maybe shouldn't have been so abusive, and in turn, you could have been a little more tactful in the way you edit what people contribute to the pages, and not just automatically assume everything you post is right and everyone else is wrong. I guess I am offering an apology, and maybe we can all compromize and edit wrestling pages with respect of others and in peace. (Fr3nZi3 18:15, 24 April 2006 (UTC))

editI am not here to cause any commotion or "beef", but I am just here to say the Mickie was managed by Trish, in her first match in the WWE and other subsequent matches. Please stop deleting it. Thanks. (Fr3nZi3 21:11, 6 May 2006 (UTC))
Fair enough. You were the only person on the page, that I saw that had deleted it. And may I add that she had accompanied her to the ring a little more than twice! Technically she was a manager for Mickie as Mickie was a manager for her. (Fr3nZi3 17:40, 7 May 2006 (UTC))
Lita wikipage
editWould you like to take a look at the Lita wikipage and do some cleanups? It looks like a real mess to me, thanks to some hardcore Lita fans who aee adding all sorts of junk to the page, all the time and will continue to do so as soon as someone does a cleanup. Appreciate the fact that you have a good knowledge and long history of watching wrestling though.

- Ok, I moved the referees. It looks better. For a brief moment, I thought about moving the commentators to a seperate section, but then thought aganinst it because it would only add on to the part-time wrestlers/female-male debate. DGX 21:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

editWe had a discussion at the Wrestling Wikiproject and the general feeling is that a lot of fair use images used on Wikipedia are verging on copyright infringement, which could cause problems in the future. To remedy this, we started replacing fair use images with free use images from the Wikipedia commons. The quality of the photo is unfortunate, but I think we do need to start reigning in the use of WWE photos. McPhail 13:44, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Trish Stratus
editHi, I hope this message is phrased politely. The last thing I want to do is upset you so don't take offense to anything I say. I try not to be personal so sorry if this upsets you.
Since you said that the image of Trish Stratus was an old one, I have found the most recent pictures of her. If you change it you will be going against your own logic as you said you like to keep things updated. The last time Trish wore the "Let's do it" T-shirt was 22nd May 2006. Therefore this is the most recent posed picture of her. If you don't believe me look here.
So any picture you replace it with will be older than my one. You didn't want me to upload old pictures so I'm sure you won't do it.
Also, why did you say I was going to insult you? on the Trish history page you said something like "other people have reverted too before you start insulting me" I wouldn't insult someone over a picture! You don't even know me so don't say I'm going to insult you! This did offend me slightly as I never make judgements on people in this way Murph murph 22:58, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Also, I've just seen another comment on this page about Trish's picture. It seems you are very protective over her pictures. Please don't change it, this one is only a few weeks old, it is definitley the most recent, so you should be pleased because you like things current and up to date. I hope you're not offended but I really think this is a good picture so please give me a chance.

Ortons
editThe way I see it, even if the tidbit about Nathan is true, it's not really needed on "Cowboy" Bob's page anyway (I explain a little bit more on the related talk page). As for that tidbit about Randy, I kept it but reworded it to better reflect the lack of other sources for the tidbit. I hope this can help resolve the dispute between the two of you. --JFred 08:50, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Trish Stratus
editOk, I don't know the full story about the other photo, that's true. However, there are a few things on your talk page that make me think that you never give others a chance.

editI might have confused you with my description of my revert, so I'll talk about it here. The picture you want to represent her is actually from 2003, as I remember it being used for her BOTY candidate shoot. The picture that I reverted to is really more up to date, as it was taken sometime in the past year and is an official WWE photo. Just wanted to clear it up. ErikNY 20:56, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Melina pictures
editI see your point. But in interest to Melina that picture needs to be changed as soon as possible! So when she has a new one please can you change it, coz that picture is nothing short of ugly! (Fr3nZi3 21:15, 22 June 2006 (UTC))

Birthdays
editOkay i'm not the one who started this trend. I just added to it. I thought it was important to show that people were born on the same day.I still think it's important. If you want to attack me that's fine but why don't you attack the person who put it on Nick Hogan's page. I think it's important to mention that Joey Styles and Bubba Ray Dudley were born on the exact same day. If you want me to stop then why don't you help make the date pages better by including everyone. Not all the wrestlers are on the date pages. Why don't you start there. If someone is born on the exact same day as someone else, I'm going to put that on a page because I think it's an interesting piece of trivia. if you don't like that, than tough! MgHoneyBee 20:49, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I only put other professional wrestlers on pages. And the year pages at the bottom don't show you who was born on a particular page, just one year. You have to go on the exact date (e.g. May 14) and look for people there.I still don't understand why you have such a problem with this when some wrestlers trivia is something that is already stated in the article itself.MgHoneyBee 06:07, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Lilian Garcia Birthdate
editThere is a lengthy discussion of this matter on the Lilian Garcia talk page, please refer to it. The most reliable website which mentions her birthdate is IMdB, and she graduated from Irmo High School in 1984, a matter of public knowledge. The 1973 date appears to have originated on Wikipedia, and its continued inclusion is simply a concession to the fact that this date is not verifiable on the Internet. Please contribute to the discussion on the talk page before making changes in defense of incorrect information.--Son of Somebody 13:02, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Image:RandyKOrton.jpg
editI reverted your recent changes to Image:RandyKOrton.jpg. As a new part of policy, we are no longer permitted to use copyrighted images of living people solely to depict those people, as a free image could be used instead. This is new (or at least, VERY new to me), and what it means is basically, no copyrighted images of living people. --Yamla 17:45, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
You said: "Since when has this been about. Now i think this is a stupid thing to do. There is no free images of randy orton or many people. How are people going to know what people look like now if no picture is allow. Seriously wikipedia is starting to become a joke."
- I'm not sure when this change was made. You are wrong, though. Plenty of people have taken photographs of Randy Orton and could do so in the future, releasing them under a free license. As to how one would know what a person looked like, there's always Google. It's not an excuse to violate fair-use, though I agree that this policy is going further than legally required. Note that it was not my idea to change this policy; I had nothing to do with it. --Yamla 17:50, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
The edit you made to the randy orton page has been reverted. Your edit to that page was clear vandalism if you actually care to look at your edits to what you reverted it to. If you feel the need to revert the page like that again then i will report you for vandalism. Please do not do that again. Thank you Lil crazy thing 17:45, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it was a big mistake. My bad. Somehow, I just though I was reverting just one revision. Sorry!!--Abu Badali 17:55, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

The Pro Wrestling Collaboration of the Week for November 11 - November 17 is World Wrestling Entertainment. Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia professional wrestling related article. The next article for collaboration will be chosen on Sunday, November 18. From the Editor
Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday. This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement. That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page. Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to John Cena. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you.ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 09:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I refer you to Wikipedia:BLP#Reliable_sources. All those photos show is John Cena, a girl and a ring. There is no verification from an acceptable written source that Cena is engaged/married/divorced/whatever. Its unfortunate that I had to issue a warning over this. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 09:54, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to John Cena, you will be blocked from editing.
3rr
editPlease refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you.-- bulletproof 3:16 10:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Reaffirming policy
edit- I had no other real option than to issue a warning. Deleting part of the page to make a WP:POINT? It's not like I'm the only editor whose had to revert you on the John Cena page. Going back to the pictures you wanted to use though, how can anyone tell they are of Cena legitimately proposing? There is no accompanying article confirming he is, or even confirming the woman is his partner. WP:BLP is very strict on adding personal information like that - it has to be correctly sourced. If a legitimate news outlet or WWE.com or John Cena himself were to confirm his engagement then it would be different. The photo confirming Cena is left-handed is totally different - that is not potentially controversial information and the photo illustrates the fact. As I've already said, those photobucket pictures on their own simply illustrate Cena giving an item of jewellery to an unidentified woman. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 10:14, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- "I really pity the block who asked you to marry him, your first answer would be can you provide a relible source for your information." - That was pretty funny, although my first answer to him would be "No thanks. I don't oppose same-sex marriages but I'm not that way inclined." In response to everything else I will say that Wikipedia is for everyone to use - provided they comply with our official policies. This is an encyclopaedia after all, not a blog or fansite. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 10:24, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

editThe images of Cena and that girl do not provide a reliable source to support the claim in question. The image does not provide info on the identity of the girl, does not provide the name of the girl, does provide a date, and therefore does not confirm the claim. Because of that, the source is not acceptable. The second thing, you WILL stop reverting and disrupting the article regardless. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
