The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article. Clicking the "New Request" button will bring you to a standard template for submitting requests, as well as general advice that should be followed.

    Advice to requesters

    All requests:

    • Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
      • If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
    • Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
    • If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.

    SVG requests:

    • Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
    • Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

Had been trying to make the svg version but was not sure how to deal with the shadow of the logo. Grateful if someone could help with this. ~~ J. Dann 16:49, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cypp0847: Just gave it my best shot at adding some shadow to the logo, I cannot upload it to 'Floorp logo without text.svg' directly, but here it is if you wish to use it: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/b/bd/20240831023148%21Test.svg
Let me know if the link isn't working or you cannot download it. Hope this helps! TheWanderingTraders (talk) 02:25, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, it's needed a new version of the logo, that is not copyrightable in Italy, which has a very high TOO, so can be uploaded on Commons indicating PD-textlogo + Trademarked + TOO-Italy.
The SVG logo can be extracted from here (last page). It should be modified with these colors. Thanks in advance! -- 176.200.2.40 (talk) 20:08, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The SVG file can actually be found in Arabic Wikipedia, which copied from Italian Wikipedia. The original file was deleted on the basis that it is copyrighted. However this could be excused by the high TOO in Italy. ~~ J. Dann 12:59, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Antigua and Barbuda National Cadet Corps

Antigua and Barbuda Cadet Corps, flag of Antigua and Barbuda
    Request
I request the Antigua and Barbuda National Cadet Corps emblem and flag. The emblem used until 2024 is the previous national coat of arms stripped of color, which is now vectorized, with the letters "ABNCC" and written in a circle "Antigua and Barbuda National Cadet Corps" and "excellence through discipline". You can see it in this document. The new emblem and flag can be seen at the beginning of this Facebook video. In addition to the emblem, the flag contains a wreath identical to the UN symbol, a ribbon with the „ABNCC” and a small inscription "Est. December 1945". The shield has the same shape and the same inscriptions, but instead of a landscape there are 5 silhouettes. None of these symbols are very visible, and they may not be in the public domain, so I'm leaving the most similar free images already uploaded to commons. I can't decipher two symbols, a circle in the middle and a rectangle with an oval, but I hope it won't be a problem. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 16:07, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Flags and logos of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies 1

    Request
Hi. My request today is for someone to vectorize all the flags and logos depicted here. All of these flags logos are of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. These are the Armenian Red Cross Society, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and the Dominica Red Cross Society. All of these are shown on the "Flags of the World" website and are found in the following links.
    1. Armenian Red Cross Society [1]
    2. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society [2]
    3. Dominica Red Cross Society [3]

This request's already big enough as it is so I won't spent long explaining though the empty files help with what flags and logos need to be done and the links show what they look like. I'm also happy to provide further explanation if needed. I'd be very grateful to whoever does my request. Thanks for reading!--78.152.240.245 (talk) 19:56, 22 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

    Dutch flags

    Bavel, Galder, Strijbeek, Ulvenhout
    Request
Hi. Here are four flags that each belong to a village in Alphen-Chaam, North Brabant, the Netherlands. These villages are Bavel, Galder, Strijbeek and Ulvenhout. Apart from being in the same municipality, they also share another similarity, their flags are nearly identical to each-other and this isn't a coincidence as they're all near. The four flags contain the exact same pattern of four parts bisected in a Nordic Cross manner though without an actual cross. On the top line, a white square on the left and a green rectangle on the right. On the bottom line, a red square on the left and a red white rectangle on the right. The only difference is all four also add a symbol from their coat of arms and place it on the white square at the top. My request today is for someone to kindly please vectorize these flags and I add them here all together due their nearly identical design. Thanks in advance!--109.76.249.135 (talk) 21:00, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I was wondering if someone can kindly please revectorize the Swansea University's flag as it actually isn't a vector file at present. I'd also like if that same person copied that file to Commons and used it as a base for Swansea University's coat of arms (which has the same design as the flag but on a shield).
