Original – John Lee's Sweethearts and Wives (1860). A fine example of a harbour scene, done in the pre-Raphaelite style. It has been suggested that the rightmost sailor is a self-portrait of John Lee.

Reason: A high-quality image of an interesting artist's work.

- That might be the painting, not the photo. I'm really not sure; I only do watercolours myself, and it looks a bit like effects you commonly get in watercolours, but I don't know if that happens with oils ever. Weak support If this really is Lee's masterpiece, with a possible self portrait of the artist, then this has EV.
